So, we couldn't get all the Prime toys because retailers wanted more movie toys, and now we won't be getting the rest of the movie toys because retailers want to move on to Prime toys...

This has become the norm for the past few lines. Why does Hasbro, then, even bother sticking big-name characters at the end of their lines? I really wanted these, now my entire DOTM shelf is forever incomplete.

Well, there goes completing my HA line, because I'm not willing to drop over $50 on HA Soundwave when the damn thing doesn't even have paint on it.

ROTF throughout was the best imo.

all i ever really saw was loads of wave 1 and 2 in my area and rarely got lucky seeing any other beyond that.

Yeah I only saw Wave 3 once where I'm at. Never saw Dark Steel's wave at all. It's been walls of Bumblebees since October around here. Distribution was just awful for this line.

glad i bought my ha soundwave when he wasnt crazy priced yet. give it time and these will be worse than barricade and mudflap on price.

Dang, Que was one of the few DOTM figs I wanted too. Can't say I'm surprised though.

As a huge Movieverse fan all of these are a serious blow to me... As a hardcore NASCAR fan Leadfoot hits especially hard...

This is inexcusable if only because there was such a gap between DOTM waves. I mean, the Air Raid wave showed up in early August. Why the hell would Hasbro wait until December to release these figures?!

Movie Trilogy are Asia exclusive (minus Optimus), which Makes the repaints of SOundwave and wheeljack into Takara Exclusives

I was looking forward to getting Que and Leadfoot.

Glad I got Soundwave when I did. I suggest jumping on eBay ASAP if you really want these figures. Cheapest I've seen is $50 for the 2 autobots & $20+ for Soundwave.

This shit is so tired.

HA Soundwave looked like half a robot to me, so I'm not shedding tears for him. I'm also anticipating the white G1 version of Movie Wheeljack (Que was hideous imho), and Soundblaster to be released in the Trilogy line... I hope that's still on the agenda, since those were the versions I was interested in.

Well, that sucks. I wasn't too interested in Que, Leadfoot or Deluxe Soundwave but I was really looking forward to HA Soundwave, since I love the Human Alliance figures. Thankfully, I have some leftover birthday money at the moment, so I just picked up an HA Soundwave on eBay before this news gets around and prices go through the roof.

Not the most surprising news, but certainly not the most welcome. The prices for these figures haven't yet skyrocketed, so hop on eBay and snag them NOW.

I'm glad I've secured the figures months ago (wasn't going to take any risks with tail-end items in Canada), but with the packaging all done up, they just might appear at a discount chain further down the line.

I was so looking forward to the more Wheeljack-inspired Que. Think that's going to get an eventual release?

I ended up ordering Takara Que a month or so ago because I was getting impatient.

Man I'm glad I did.

Don't count on it.

Plus the next movie Soundwave may be a lot different if a reboot happens.

I feel bad for those that wanted these and more movie toys, but I personally couldn't care less. The only "movie" toys I might get are the Legion repaints being released with the Prime Cyberverse line. I could give their weapons to the actual Prime figures, and put the movie repaints in my Universe collection.

Once again, don't count on it. IF Soundwave were to come back in a new Bay movie, I don't think he'd be the Mercedes again. If you like the DotM Soundwave, better get him now or settle for the Cyberverse version.

I am soooo glad I stopped caring about the movie stuff months ago - thanks to retailers who only want cases and cases of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

How else were they supposed to make room for 10 more BB repaints? Gotta cut corners somewhere, JEEZ.

This would piss me off if I wasn't getting used to it, and couldn't care less about DOTM figures at this point. Hasbro doesn't want my money, I'll live.

Bummer, but oh well. I don't know who the hell was the genius who thought "let's NOT put all the awesome, unrevealed characters from the movie in the early lines, because that would be spoiling the movie", when most of the damn line was like, 1/4th of nothing but Bumblebee variations and repaints from earlier lines.

There's also an equal chance that this kind of idiocy with distribution and releasing the figure at all can happen.

Plus, you seem to have ingored the fact that characters from previous movies who aren't in the next movie STILL get toys. I.E. Jazz and Arcee (Target exclusive wave with Space Case), the Twins (yes, I know they were originally in the movie, but they weren't in the final cut save for a few tiny bits if you look hard enough, so technicaly they aren't in the movie), and Jolt. Oh, and Barricade got TWO toys in ROTF, a retooled deluxe and the awesome HA, despite being nowhere in the actual movie.


Megatron had had half his face ripped off. Soundwave had his head BLOWN TO PIECES. There's a difference between having part of your head left and not having any part of it left at all.

Oh well, more money for Prime and Generations toys.

First we had a crappy turn out yesterday with most of the new releases going to Asia, and now this.

Seriously, god help us all if there is TF4. Hasbro will make damn sure we get a flood of Bumblebee repaints, but take their sweet-ass time with new characters until they just get bored with it.

But...but he couldn't have died. Megatron and Starscream must have survived too! They can't make another Bayformers movie without the same-old two-dimensional punching bags, so they'll have no choice but to bring them back from the de-, er..."stasis lock". And it's like so totally obvious in my head that they'll make another and get everyone back who said they were moving on. Because they llllllloooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee Transformers!

It can't end! It can't! If it does, then all that's left are those other Transformers continuities created without Michael Bay's semen. And what's Transformers without Michael Bay?

I expect the plot of TF4 to revolve around a clone army of Bumblebees. Each rank has some slight variation in design or deco, so there can be over a hundred different Bumblebee toys to choose from! Their enemy will be Nemesis Bumblebee, who gets help from Shattered Glass Bumblebee and his army of mindless Bumbleclones. This will add even more Bumblebee toys into the mix! Kids won't have to waste any time with lame non-Bumblebee characters, and Hasbro will become wealthier than all the Saudi princes combined with the mass sales of NOTHING BUT BUMBLEBEES!

If they do, you pick me up a Wheeljack.

That's working on the presumption there's left over production.

Example:

US Internet dealers solicited Windcharger. Entertainment Earth and BBTS both received said case assortment date around the date they advertised it to arrive, and Windcharger also appeared in small numbers at small speciality stores.

Then it went to discount stores later, in larger numbers.

Online sites like BBTS and EE never solicited either Soundwave from Hasbro U.S, nor Que, and i',m not sure Que even exists on a Hasbro card.

In short: I'm not too convinced there's any excess stock of those three to liquidate.

oh well, if I want them I'll just get them from ebay (provided the seller is in the US)

We know that there are Hasbro versions of Deluxe Soundwave and Wheeljack; Robot Kingdom had some in stock for some time. The Hasbro version of Wheeljack has him named as "Wheeljack" as opposed to "Que" like the Takara version, and the Hasbro Soundwave does not have a silver painted head like the Takara one. Whether or not there are enough stockpiled to go to discount retailers is a different story, but they do exist.

HA Soundwave, on the other hand, will probably never be available aside from importing it. There aren't that many on eBay, and even at $140 each BBTS sold out of their latest batch in like two days.

yeah im sick of this i think i will be sticking to 1 of each character by now on and makeing sure i get them no matter the cost
