Must mean there is more to come in the movie trilogy line.

But if you ask me, it looks like Jazz with Soundwave's body.

Definitely Blaster. The dome-shape gives it away.

Asia exclusive probably.

Totally agree with you on the head resembling Jazz. If this toy were to make an appearance in the US, I'd definitely jump at it.

I'd still want him if he was Blaster as well.

So now we have at least movie toys shown with new head molds that are awaiting confirm.

Likely a planned re-release for the movie trilogy line. So in other words:

Sweet, another figure we're not going to get in the US...

Yet another version of Soundwave the US won't see.

Nothing has yet come of the different head mold shown in Laserbeak's instructions,so I wouldn't assume this is confirmation of a continuation of the line.

They make these for potential remolds just in case, it doesn't really assure anything.

Yeah I ordered a Soundwave off ebay about a week ago and got him a day or two ago. I noticed that when I looked at the instructions. I figure the design for Blaster, what with that stylish visor and all. Maybe the car in black with red robot parts? Sounds slick to me. Who knows if we'll ever see it though.

I don't know how you people can overlook that back kibble and want the mold in general. pretty much the entirety of Dark of the Backback really grates on me.

On Topic- I actually think the head looks a bit like Jazz.

DOtM Soundwave looks so amazing it is easy to overlook the back kibble!

We already know for certain that his mold was scheduled for re-release in black and red Soundblaster colors. What I find interesting is that the pictures we were shown of DOTM Soundblaster show the original head, not this new one.

I think it was going to be released as either DOTM deluxe wave 7 or as part of the movie trilogy line (maybe they are were the same) but as of ToyFair it has been comfirmed that both are dead everywhere but Asia save for the deluxe Optimus with trailer that is already available at retail. Asia is still slated to get a trilogy series and rumor has it that Wheeljack and "Soundwave" are showing up in it. Whether that Soundwave comes with a new head or not remains to be seen.

I look forward to being unable to buy this one as well.

yes, kind of reminds me of blaster but north america isn't getting anymore DOTM which is a good and bad thing.

So does anyone know, is it that retailers in the rest of the world still love DOTM or what's the deal? why there but not here?

Considering how all of the RtS, Generations and some HftD toys showed alternate headsculpts in their instructions, and those have never shown up on new toys, this probably doesn't mean much.

If they had the nerve to cancel Soundwave they will sure as hell cancel this figure.

I love the deluxe Soundwave mold, and I think it'd look great in red with yellow and black inner bits with a Blaster-looking head.

That should've been self explanatory. It's blaster. we all know how after G1 the creator the soundwave figure just got lazy as hell and decided "why not? it's not anyone or care or anything." blaster after G1 has always been just a repaint of soundwave. I'm shocked you're all surprised.....you shouldn't be people! please TFC....Take over the transformer franchise since hasbro doesnt know what the fuck they're doing....

Darn. I actually would have bought a movieverse Blaster toy.

Soundwave looked and felt nothing like Soundwave in the movie.

His toy, even less so.

Repainting/remolding him into Blaster, like they've always done, doesn't fix any of the problems the original movie Soundwave design has. It would just make a Blaster figure look all the more strange...

I know the car is wrong, but if painted properly this could possibly pass for a big improvement on a deluxe Jazz.

I love this figure but there are 3 things that get me, first is the gray paint job! I believe they could have given him a nicer silver paint job, two the extra kibble hanging below his croch and 3rd would be the lack of filling in the robot bits while he is in car mode...
