Asia to Release 2007 Movie Leader Optimus and Megatron 2-Pack

Thai website Larckyray.com has uploaded a solicitation for a two pack featuring 2007 Movie Leader figures Optimus Prime and Megatron. An odd choice for a release, but these two figures were not widely available back in 2007 in Asia. These will most likely fall into the rumored All Star line for Asia. Retail price is about $210.00 US. No word yet if these two will feature different paint applications, if any at all.

Nice to see them releasing some of the original movie toys in the Movie Trilogy line, here's hoping they give us a second chance at Brawl in the near future, he was definitely one of my favorite Leader Class toys.

Why? Rotf 100 times better. Heck I would rather buy a pack with voyager dotm megatron and hftd Optimus prime.

...why? '07 Prime looks absolutely awful in comparison with the ROTF one, and normal Megatron's paint job is kind of awful. They should've at least done the Premium versions, rather than the normal ones.

Yeah, Optimus is at least kind of an interesting oddity. Taken on its own, as if it was just a generic Optimus, he is kind of cool. Especially with the good paint job. It's just that he falls so short as a representation of the movie character.

But Megatron is pretty terrible.

$200? Nah. While I wish my ROTF Prime had his 1st movie blaster I'd rather want a 3rd party upgrade kit than another prime that's not as good otherwise. & Megatron isn't that good & I hope at some point they'll make a definitive figure of him(Not talking about the sequels' tank & tanker. I mean the spaceship).

There is not much of a markup actually. In Singapore, a Leader class figure cost $109.90 at retail, convert that to USD and it is $88.3157. Take that times 2, add shipping, the regular online store markup, and the price is about right.

I don't know why anyone is complaining about this, it's not like Hasbro is planning a domestic release for this set, this is a release designed to give the Asian market toys they never received in the first place.
