Ugh, if it weren't for the paint job on the wings, I'd be all over that.

yeah I really would have liked this mold but as far as the paint goes it looks like a leprechaun lost his lunch on it. not worth $100+. $40-$50 maybe for customization purposes. sad they didn't just do a plain paint app, I would have been fine with it.

Samesies. If it drops down in price, I'll consider it. Otherwise, I'd rather spend the extra cash and get the one without the paint on the wings and gun.

$105 + $10 on paint + a couple hours painting is much better than the $250 ebay prices.

Yea, I paid a bit more (some of it in trade) for the Asia version about a month before this one was announced, but not having these paint apps really softens the blow that it would have been.

Well with the size of them they could look like a regular sized gun in the hands of a toddler and that's the last thing we need, more cops shooting toddlers.

I'm really torn on this one. If I bought it I would want the box to be in nice shape but I've always had bad luck ordering things like this from Amazon. I wish I could give them two or three dollars more for some bubble wrap.

Got two of this pre-ordered back in July. I just got the shipping notice and it will be in my doorstep on Monday. Can't wait!

Didn't realize this was news...they've been putting this one in my recommendations for ages now. As a matter of fact, was looking at it again today.
It is tempting, but I think I'll wait and see what happens, not really feeling that I can't live without him...I have so many movie Optimus figures already.

Some of you folks who get him Monday tell us what you think.

Wow thanks for the heads up..I just dropped over 5 bills on LEGO sets on Amazon this week and could use a break. Cancelling my preorder from July and will wait for a price drop like his dragon friend...

Prefer the amazon version over the chromed japanese one and had this on preorder.

It's those Classic Optimus Prime trailer stripes on the wings that make this version all class.

I thought the orange was supposed to give off a burnt look on the guns

I like those, too.

It does give a pretty cool effect. Maybe I won't need to paint it all that much if I do get it...

I have the original version of this figure and I like this version better, Grr. Mine looks so bland in comparison.

I was told this morning by my wife that upon arrival, this will be wrapped and placed under the xmas tree, along with the three MP's showing up this week.

I was a little worried when Amazon posted their own pictures and Prime didn't have the gas tanks in Vehicle or Robot mode that Hasbro had decided to just not include them. Not TOO worried, but a little.

The confirmation that he does come with the tank gun is nice!

Now, once I get this guy, I just need to get a couple of those swords he can hold and I will be happy!

If I could find the Striker sheild somewhere, then I think I would have a perfect movie OP! (Don't really need the Striker guns, not with the BFG of the Jetwing sticking out right where they would in Vehicle mode).
