665312100_o Here is something rare and cool for you - by way of this eBay auction, we can share with you some images of a Transformers toy that never made it to general retail. Dark of the Moon Soundblaster was a redeco of Soundwave, initially intended for a seventh wave of Deluxe Class toys along with a Generation 1 styled Wheeljack, a redeco of Bumblebee and a Generation 1 themed Ratchet redeco. The series was dropped from a US release to an Asia exclusive wave, but never even saw that limited release. Until this auction, all we saw of Soundblaster were those initial promotional images. Check them out for a rare look at a toy that never got a release.

Transformers Movie Series Asia Exclusive Leader Brawl First Image

Posted on 01-02-2013 at 07:09 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
318578_444701392262473_1357759858_n The Transformers Asia Facebook page has followed up on their previous tease of a new release in the Asia Premium Series of Movie toys with a picture confirming the APS-2 will be a redeco of Leader Class Decepticon Brawl. The picture though is a total tease using inverted colors, preventing anyone from getting a proper look at the toy.

Fear not though, because through the magic of Photoshop, Singapore Transformers Fan Group Planet Iacon have removed most of the photoshopping to reveal what this new Leader Brawl might actually look like. As with the Striker Optimus Prime, this Leader Brawl takes the 2007 Leader mold and gives it a full-on Premium Series redeco.

If official, non-photoshop tease images are released by Transformers Asia look vastly different to this we will update you here. For now, enjoy this first look at Decepticon Brawl's premium deco.

TFW Transformers the Ride Evac (Universal Studios Exclusive) Gallery

Posted on 11-17-2012 at 05:25 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
UniversalStudiosEvac_36 Our next new Transformers toy gallery for your enjoyment is this gallery of the Transformers the Ride exclusive release, Evac! Only available from Universal Studios, Evac is the star of Transformers the Ride, a new member of the Autobot team who takes visitors to the park on a journey that's more than meets the eye!

The Evac toy is a rather cool little exclusive. He's a complete new mold based on the character from the ride, transforming from a high-tech personnel carrier / the car from the ride into a movieverse styled robot mode. He fits right in with the movie toys too, particularly with contemporary releases from Dark of the Moon. He's got decent amounts of poseability in the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees with a little side-swivel in the ankles to allow for wider poses. On the vehicle mode, the sides of the vehicle lift-up, gullwing style, just like the car on the ride. There's no waist swivel in robot mode though, and no weapon or accessory either, though there are some 3mm clip points on the toy and 5mm peg holes in the hands as well.

All in all, Evac's a cool little toy. He's got a great look and fits in well with the movie series cast. Because he's a theme park exclusive, he commands a bit of a markup on the secondary market and your mileage may vary on whether that is worth it. Certainly at original retail if you are a movie series fan, this one is a good addition to your Autobot side.
