Posted on 04-23-2014 at 01:03 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
27433752d1398258827-new-official-images-power-battler-optimus-flip-change-drift-10308371_10152350745 By way of some new photos posted on Transformers Colombia, we have a look at some new, alternate packaging for the Transformers Age of Extinction one-step changers. This alternate packaging forgoes the window packaging we have seen previously, instead removing the windows for the boxes for larger artwork of the characters themselves. Check out the images attached to this post.

Transformers Colombia have also shared new images of the Age of Extinction Power Battlers Optimus Prime figure, and the Flip and Change Autobot Drift. You can also check out images of those attached to this post - and check out the face of this new Drift toy, he looks very much like Guy Fawkes from V for Vendetta!

Age Of Extinction Junkheap Revealed

Posted on 04-22-2014 at 02:14 PM by StayingInTheBox under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
10157412_634906209912910_7466703123670302326_n Coming via the official Transformers Facebook page, we have a really fun and downright cool reveal by Hasbro. In celebration of Earth Day, Hasbro has partnered with Waste Management to release the exclusive Decepticon Junkheap.

Fans might recognize this figure from the background of the third live action film Dark of the Moon when the Decepticons space-bridged to Earth for their final attack. Many collectors have often said how cool it would be to have a design of the garbage truck character and now we'll have it!

Junkheap will be a part of the Power Battler toy line and will be released this fall.

Let us know what you think after the jump!

Hasbro Official Transformers 4 Age Of Extinction Website Update - Info, Images, Games And More

Posted on 04-21-2014 at 11:58 AM by SilverOptimus under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
Transformers-Toys-Games-Videos--Action-Figures-_-Construct-Bots-_-Hasbro Hasbro has updated their Official Transformers Toy Website with a new look and content to market their upcoming toyline for Transformers: Age Of Extinction.

The site gives us a very detailed look at the new simpler transformation.

If you visit the Games menu you'll find some neat little Flash games featuring the characters from the movie; including Lockdown, Bumblebee, Drift and Grimlock .
"Energon Rally" features a side-scrolling Temple Run type of gameplay while "Feed Grimlock" features Kre-O toys where you… well, feed Vehicons to Grimlock (This is a game for kids!?!) in an Angry Birds style gameplay. Construct-bots game has been updated with AOE parts and will allow you to create your own Grimlockdown.

Toys menu contains info and images of AOE Toys and you can virtually Transform the toys via the Bots menu.

Videos menu contains the trailers (which we've seen before) and might get updated with new content. So watch out for that.

Also worth noticing is a "Coming Soon" notice for the Transformers 4 Mobile Game App.

...and one more thing about the site: SPOILERS!

Transformers 4 Age of Extinction Toys New Official Images

Posted on 04-13-2014 at 07:54 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
0777D19850569047F53AB9CE62D2104B Hasbro's Australian website has updated its toy catalog with new listings for many of the Transformers Age of Extinction releases. The new listings include the first assortments of the Generations Deluxe and Voyager Classes, including Crosshairs and Bumblebee, Age of Extinction Construct Bots and Age of Extinction Kre-O. Of possible note is that the Kreon combiner sets Obsidian and Lazerbolt are here named as Firewing and Icebolt, though their original names are featured on the packaging, so it is possible that Firewing and Icebolt were the original working names for the sets - or the packaging in the photos is out of date.

Check out the new images attached to this story.

Takara-Tomy Transformers Age of Extinction Product Catalog

Posted on 04-12-2014 at 12:56 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
10013161_617628528323560_7125943388587852322_n The NTF-Archive has posted some scans of a Takara-Tomy product catalog, which lists what we expect would be pretty much the entire product line for Transformers Age of Extinction. The product line up we have seen so far would appear to be the tip of the iceberg, with the Japanese releases in the Generations Age of Extinction series totaling up to 30 by the time all is said and done. Japanese releases for the one-step changer toys, including the stomp and chomp Grimlock and Power Battlers Dinobots are also confirmed.

The most interesting part of the product listings comes in the form of confirmations of future releases, which we were previously unaware of. Following the initial May - June releases, the following Generations series Age of Extinction toys will be released in Japan, potentially with tweaked or alternate decos:

July 2014 - Leader class Grimlock, Voyager class Hound, Voyager class Galvatron, Deluxe class Autobot Drift, Deluxe class Strafe, Deluxe class Slash and one other Deluxe toy. While no picture is shown, the kanji in his listing suggest this one will be Lockdown.

August 2014 - Another unknown Deluxe class toy who seems to have a vehicular form, which is another version of Bumblebee (the listing for the name shares the same characters as the High Octane Bumblebee listing). There's a second Deluxe class toy listed, this time with a silhouette of Grimlock suggesting a fifth Deluxe class Dinobot is coming out in Japan. It's just listed as "Dinobot A" though.

September 2014 - two more Voyagers are shown, one with a "Bumblebee" silhouette suggesting a vehicular alternate form, and one with a "Grimlock" suggesting another Dinobot.

However you take these listings, the implication is there are two more Voyagers to be seen and three more Deluxes, which matches with the original press release issued by Hasbro after Toy Fair 2014. The revelation here is that one of the Deluxes and one of the Voyagers may be a Dinobot - assuming Takara-Tomy is not simply doing their own thing.

Update - it has been pointed out that AD-18 and AD-19 are not listed, so there are two more toys to come out in June / July in Japan who we know nothing about, yet.

Age of Extinction Leader Grimlock New Official Images Confirm Added Chrome

Posted on 04-12-2014 at 12:07 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
4039688B50569047F503AD1D7D8BEB66 Via a pair of pictures on Hasbro Australia's website accessible via Google Image Search, we can show you some new official images of the Transformers Age of Extinction Leader Class Grimlock in his robot mode and dinosaur mode. The new images confirm that compared to the sample of Grimlock on show at Toy Fair 2014, the Age of Extinction Generations Leader Grimlock we are getting at retail will have chrome on the dinosaur head, robot chest, and parts of the robot legs. It's all very shiny - but does the extra bling on Grimlock do it for you?
