Wal-Mart Exclusive Allspark Power Big Daddy, Grindcore, Jolt and Divebomb Out

God I hope these won't be to hard to find, best repaints in recent memory...here's hoping my Walmart even gets them, Payload and Dropkick need to be phased out.

I'll be putting these guys with my AEC display. Except for Divebomb as I won't be getting him. Also, while Big Daddy is an obvious G1 homage to the micromaster character of the same name and Jolt is an obvious G2 homage of Laser Rod Jolt... Grindcore doesn't really jump out as being any kind of homage to me (other than the construction vehicle turned green in memory of the Constructicons gimmick). So, I'll definitely be putting them with my AEC guys and probably be renaming Grindcore to Scavanger (as he's the Scavanger repaint out of the Landmine mold that I've always wanted).

Divebomb, while an interesting homage to Sunstorm (in his bio anyways) and an obvious G2 Hooligan homage with his deco... I won't be getting because I've owned both C. Thundercracker and C. Skywarp and really really don't like that mold. What would have been awesome would be if they used Energon Starscream. I loved that mold, but sold it once I got the C. Voyager Starscream (I've got a strict policy of only one of a character per series now) and it's a shame that that particular mold has never seen a non-Starscream repaint. And it would work better as Sunstorm too...

I do the same thing. I try to keep the most up to date incarnation of a character. My Optimus Prime is Classics Prime and my Hot Shot is CD Hot Shot for example.

That Energon Starscream is a wicked figure and needs to be repainted into a new character or Sunstorm.

I might get Jolt and Big Daddy if I see them, but these molds and colour schemes aren't good enough for me to go out of my way looking for them.

Ill probably just buy Big Daddy and call it a day.

Are these going to be US-only Walmart specials?

It's really hard to know what to expect... especially since the US Target Exclusive scout class repaints recently started turning up at Walmarts in Canada.

On my AEC displays, I have the latest version of each character as well.. (boy was I glad they came out with that Demolishor repaint in Cybertron, because I hate the Energon one for some reason)

Man, I wish the club or SOMEONE would put out the Tidal Wave mold in a new color scheme. I'd LOVE to see him in Broadside's colors (preferably a new head) for the Classics line.

Wow! You and I are on the same wavelength as far as collecting goes! I would LOVE Tidal Wave in Broadsides colors (with a new head) and I'd love for the club to be the ones to do that! I also want them to do Sandstorm from Energon Cliffjumper because both would fit in with Botcon Springers bio about eliminating the 3rd Transformation.

As far as Demolishor goes, I haven't been able to decide between Armada and Energon. Same goes for Energon and Classics Rodimus.

Back on topic, I kinda like the idea of naming Grindcore Scavenger. It kinda fits. I love the character and design for Armada Scavenger but hate the toy because of its legs. Not sure what to think.

Anyone think of a good sword from another toy for Jolt to wield?

very likely thats intentional, though that mold is from a earlier g2 figure the name grindcore seems to resemble the name autocrusher. In terms of a guy who breaks things.

As for Jolt... I was thinking of attempting to find a junker G2 Jolt that still has it's sword and use it for Movie Jolt. Though, no luck with that yet...

Big Daddy is definitely going with my Classics Autobots. I'm trying to make a group of AEC figures that could be their own group of Decepticons, in the Classics continuity but not following Megatron. Jolt will be in that group.

Yeah I own that series it kicked major ass and made B.I.G. one bad motha. I hope they prdouce the rest of the Hot Rod Patrol. And if you never read the series you owe it to yourself to check it out.

i think ill pass on these , repaint after repaint not really intrested , Hey any body wonder what they are gonna do about the rest of the bots that survived in TF1 thats going to be in the TF2?? i meen like the toys if they look the same in TF2 does that meen they are going to rerelease the old molds again ??? like "premium 2" or will they make beter mold that are more movie accurate ?? or will the remaining bots from TF1 will have new vehicle mold or new bodies in TF2??? im just really intrested how this is going to work , i really dont want to buy 3-4 versions of the same frickin mold.

I've been tempted to use my (broken)G2 Jolt's sword, but it was confiscated long ago by Cyb Cannonball and he won't relinquish it. *sigh*

That's what I've been wondering myself. With all the tidbits of info that's been dropped lately from various people, one thing I wish someone would ask or they would simply let us know, is about what changes there may be to the designs of the characters we already know.

I had to drop my brother off at the airport this morning so I hit a few Walmarts on the way home. Nadda. Big Daddy is the #1 priority of this bunch, and the rest are cool whenever I can find them.

I don't know about you guys but this has to be the worse packing job I've ever seen. The endcaps have:
3 jolt
3 divebomb
2 big daddy
1 grindcore

I went to three Wally's over the weekend and I can say this ratio is pretty consistent. Haven't opened them up but I did notice that a lot of the big daddies have a crappy paint job in the back too. Grrrr. . .

To help keep the Micromaster theme going beyond just Big Daddy, you could consider Grindcore to be a greenish colored groundpounder (hell, maybe that's what they wanted to go for, but made him greenish because otherwise it'd be too close to Cyb. Landmine's colors?)
It's just a matter of personal preference, but as he is an Autobot, this role works better for me than the Autoroller idea.

I'll get these...The best mold of the bunch is Grindcore so I'm looking forward to that the most. Divebomb actually looks really cool to me. It's the interesting color scheme I guess. Big Daddy's colors are awesome...and the ridiculous homage is worth the cash. I don't like the Cyb. Crosswise mold much at all, but I do like the G2 Jolt homage. So yeah. Bought.

Why aren't there any reviews on these guys in the feedback section yet? There seems to be a lot of people who have picked these up.

I'm very curious about the QC on these.

There's a new walmart opening here next wednesday... maybe I'll check there after it opens. The old one doesn't have shit. It's a barren wasteland..

fill me in on what comic series this is i'm getting into comics these last two years but i'm all over so lmk so I can look for this. I like to read about figures because it puts a personality with them and turns them into more than just a toy, it gives them a personality

I totally agree. Tidal Wave as Broadside would be awesome. A new head a a big ass battle ax would be perfect.
