| Transforming Megatron DVD Case Revealed |
| Posted on 07-09-2008 at 10:24 AM by fosterlager | | As we reported earlier this month, the Transformers Movie DVD will be re-released September 2nd in one-disc editions with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee masks, and a two-disc version with a transforming Megatron case. oh my god, i was so looking forward to this and now i think i just threw up in my mouth. on an even sadder note, the other day i was cleaning my room, i took my op dvd case of the shelf and set it on the floor to dust the shelf, then i stepped back and - SNAP!!! its gone... i felt like crying

I think this is awesome, and a cool companion piece to the Prime one. I don't see the problem with this case. For what it is, it's a pretty good interpretation of his movie likeness. Of course he's ugly! He's evil Megatron, what's he supposed to be? Cute and fuzzy?

See, if they'd released the Blu Ray version like this, I'd probably get it (despite not having a BluRay player...yet). But re-buying the exact same movie just for a new box? I'll save the money and get more Universe toys instead.

Like others, I wish this were the BlueRay version packaging ... that way I wouldn't feel bad about getting it (even though I don't have a BR Player, but will probably get one someday).

Megs looks happy, and I'm happy for him making it to a DVD case. Not buying though, one novelty DVD case is enough for me.
