Transformers the Movie 2007 Coming to Blu Ray in the UK

The British Board of Film Classification aka the BBFC has added an interesting entry to their database - a rating for Easter Eggs in a 2 disk Blu Ray edition of last year's Live Action Transformers Movie. This means that there is an extremely good chance that last year's blockbuster is coming to Blu Ray in the UK. There is no word on whether the rest of the world might follow suit, but with the demise of the HD-DVD format, it cannot be ruled out. Of additional interest are the names of the Easter Egg segments, which are referred to as "NBE Transmissions", which recalls the Sector Seven ARG video segments that ran during the build up to the Movie.

The part discussing the 2007 live action movie is towards the bottom, but states that the Blu-ray version is due out September 2nd!

FANS, go buy those Blu-ray players!!!

This makes me wonder why Paramount has not made any plans to release this on Blu in the US.
