personally, i think these guys will look fantastic, with the classics lol!

And I *was* all set to say no to Jetstorm and Wingblade, but Hasbro pointing out mounting Classics Astrotrain on Jetstorm might change my mind. Just open the flap in front of his head and stick Astrotrain's front landing gear in the gap: | What the.... hey that's actually pretty spiffy.. reminds me a bit of the GIJoe Blackbirds from Cobra....
I'm meh.. while I love Erector... I'm not so sure I want to dump the cash on these.
shroobmaster:
So I guess now Inferno gonna say "INFEEEEEEEERNOOOOO! WOO WOO WOO WOO WOO!" ?
SMOG:
I've never been a big fan of Armada Red Alert... but I think that is probably the nicest deco he's ever gotten.
I really like the Mudflap mold, always have... (blame GaoGaiGar for my affinity for blue crane trucks)... and I would have been stoked for a Grapple-style repaint. Unfortunately, the colour in these pictures just isn't very nice at all. Maybe a more orange tone would have worked, but it does NOT wear the lemon yellow well.
Still... wouldn't take many touch-ups to get this looking like a SWEET Grapple.

rattrap007:
Nice but I'll pass.

Eric:
I've missed out on Mudflap, so I'm definitely getting his movie incarnation. Inferno doesn't look half-bad either.

Which is why I'd dearly love to see repaints of the Cybertron Defense line come out, as they are absolutely awesome molds that I never was able to get my hands on.
Drake:
NO!!! Not more Armada repaints. I thought those molds were melted down to make useful things like sporks and straws.

I don't think we've seen this red alert mold since Unicron Battles. | What he said, except for the fact that Armada Red Alert was reused a third time during Energon as a Sam's Club exclusive. Cybertron Blurr is being used for the convention, not Armada Blurr. Quote:

Oh yeah, the actual news! I really like this Mudflap, oddly enough, and he doesn't seem so bad without the baby blue making him look like a clone of Duststorm and without such a ridiculously boring color scheme as the Cybertron version. Neat to see that Hasbro was actually considering the canceled redeco at first, a shame they opted not to use it, but understandable.
Inferno? Absolutely not. It's an Armada mold, not a particularly good one, and the Mini-Con alone ruins it for me. Longarm must be one of the most perpetually boring Mini-Cons ever, and his mere presence just makes the Red Alert mold bad. How Hasbro is able to make that same figure look boring and cheap four times in a row baffles me.

Oh yeah, the actual news! | Right in their blurb about Jetstorm.
Chosen:
I skipped over them entirely, just to read about the two new guys. D'oh!
And now I want Jetstorm. Double d'oh!
Chaos Muffin:
Cool, I love ugly stuff so I don't have to buy it.
Did need another Mudflap mold though, and since I already have all the other Red Alerts & their exclusives.....
Dammit!
Galvatro: Hello All!
I like homages of anything G1. Not only do these introduce homages of old characters to a new generation, they may inspire renewed interest in the older generation that see a familiar character name. These may have been a bit better under Classics 2.0 or Universe, but putting them in a Movie packaging is just taking advantage of the Movie's momentum. While Inferno may be more recognizable to older fans, Mudflap reminds me of a Micromaster Erector. The MM Transports were some of my favorite MM toys. Ashame Hasbro didn't name him Erector...could it be the innuendo association?
Galvatro Infosaur:
lil formers jokes aside, I'd say Erector homage.
(And he was my favorite Micromaster, he had a gerwalk mode)
Brawlastator:
I'll be getting Inferno for nostalgia purposes, seeing as Armada Red Alert was my favorite as a kid. Mudflap maybe. I don't know. I like the Micromaster Homage, though.
flywheels:
Maybe we should dub the movie line, Cybertron 2.0 now!
Red Alert/Inferno is a pass for me, but Mudflap is a maybe. Love the mold...too bad they just didn't make him an Autobot and name him Grapple.
bumblebee79:
Sweet. I'm gonna have to get both of these when they come out.

Xaedrahk: I foresee a transformers fanclub on deviantart with the most predictable advertising slogan ever.
"So I herd u liek mudflaps?" Rumble02:
not totally diggin them
newguy:
i thought the movie line was only going to be premiums or allspark powered. i might have to get inferno
Obvious Prime:
You know, Inferno would actually make a decent Classics Ironhide stand in. Just keep the freaky chest laucher CLOSED. Erector (tee-hee) is pretty cool, too. He's kinda got a Bumble Prime thing goin' on.

Erect-flap is decent but really, as much as I like the mould, my old Mudflap is still in good enough condition and I really don't need another.
Obvious Prime:
Just read the article-thing. Astrotrain can connect to Jetstorm?!? SWEET! They almost have the same colour scheme. Anyone got any pics of this?
Cheebs:
An Armada mold in the movie line!? The aesthetics match about as well as an Animated mold in the movie line, only Armada toys suck as well.
Abrogate:
I'm glad these are in the Movie line and not Universe, cos there's no way I'd buy an Armada Red Alert in 2008
Thundershot:
Now see, I'm a completest on Classics. If these guys had been in Classics, I'd be buying them no matter what. Movie line? Nope... Big Daddy and co. had me, but these guys, while looking cool, aren't THAT good.

FINALLY a Mudflap redeco. It's as good as bought. He'll be my Classics Grapple. He's such a good toy, I don't know why more people don't like him.
| Ditto, Mudflap is so awesome (though he'll be Erector to me). That said, The color scheme really needs a more prominent dark color. Too much yellow & off-white. I know the whole purple/green Constructicon colors thing has been done to death, but this mold would look GREAT like that.
Oh, and Inferno looks awesome, best paint job that mold has had. A good point was brought up, though-- will Hasbro actually change the sound effects so that he no longer says "RED ALERT WOO WOO WOO"? Place your bets!

Shin Densetsu:
Eh, not a big fan of the Armada toys, so no Inferno for me. It is a good repaint though. Might buy Mudflap solely because I did not get the Cybertron version(same reason I want the TRU jets, missed out on their Cybertron versions).

I like Mudflap... Meh on the Inferno...
Kaijumaster:
They should have just remolded Mudflap into Signal Lancer and made us all happy.
Ironhide2005:
Inferno rocks rest suck life goes on and Hasbro loses money for not realising the animated stuff earlier.

I can't make up my mind if I want either of them or not. If I got them, they'd go with the Classics figures, not the Movie line (and not as Grapple and G1 Inferno, but as new/random Tf characters to bolster the ranks; kinda like 2.0 Heavy Load).
The problems are: Mudflap's face looks kinda crappy in that picture, in those colors (kinda really crappy) and Inferno just seems too big for what he is (same problem the mold had as Armada Red Alert).
Dolza_Khyron:
mudflap would work best as hook, though lol and will go great with heavyload in my opinion, and just place a con logo over grindcore, and you have constructicons Nightrain:
I must admit, Red Alert looks really good in those colors. Far superior to the previous repaints imo, but I don't know if it's better than the original colors.
GENOZAUR:
that is so totally classics grapple
other then the paint job needing tweaked so that the yellow is not so damn glaring bright and perhaps to break up the yellow iwth a slight bit of silvery grey here and there to highlight the minor details such as it were
i always figured mudflap would make for a sweet grapple as a add in classics figure if someone wre to give it the proper colorscheme.
definit buy for this transfan
now if they would just do the same for inferno
GENOZAUR:
that inferno red alert repaint would make for a better trailbreaker if you ask me
mildtowild:
dont like them but i have every other voyager so i guess i will get them just to say i have them all.
