Is this for real? Is it a KO? Is this an April Fools Day Joke? Questions are asked… Answer remains.
An auction posted at Yahoo Auctions, Japan is revealing what looks like a Deluxe Class version of Transformers: Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime.
The toy looks authentic and looks really neat for a Deluxe sized version of the Autobot Leader.
Take a look at the Images, after the jump.

agreeed ~ i still can't believe that was the best solution they could come up with for the forearms.
Very little is worse then Energon Leader Prime in uncombined mode IMHO Ah, Fatimus, it's been too long since i made fun of you…
Shin Densetsu
That was over 2 decades ago

Why couldn't they have put this guy's AWESOME paint job on the voyager class?

Honestly, the arm kibble in general doesn't bother me as much as the fact that part of the arm kibble should be on the ankles. I know it's unlikely, but I hope that, for regular robot mode, the wheels can pop off and attach to the ankles for a slightly more accurate robot mode.
It's obvious that they are on the arms for the power-up armor mode, but he would just look so much better if that was at least an option. All of the Prime's have the ankle wheels (both the voyager and deluxe even use the back wheels to do this), and while I understand why they aren't there by default, it just seems like such a big part to just ignore.

Ridiculous but okay on Movie 1 Voyager Prime?

Looks official but please people try to transform it right. The waste connects in well more, well it should do, shouldnt it?
Snake_eyes1975
Not bad…but I HATE when the whole front of the truck is slung on the back. Thats why I hated that voyager prime that did that

That backpack is ridiculous. Interesting looking toy though. Not interesting enough to buy, but interesting enough to at least comment on :/

Looks like a pretty decent deluxe toy to me.

Good God some of you people are picky, not every release can be a Masterpiece, if you want "perfect Transformers" then buy the Not Devatator set, with 6 voyagers for $90 each, but if you dont wanna go broke then here is your main source. i think it looks just fine considering it just a smaller version of the first movies voyager prime who also had he front end of his truck on his back.
TCJJ
Hasbro, give me a call when you start making decent Transformers again.

Doesn't seem like as big a compromise as this stupid shit was back in the day:
Shin Densetsu
He comes off as compromised in standard bot mode because the armor basically "fills in the blanks", as in evening/balancing out the proportions. Kind of like Energon leader Prime but worse in standard uncombined mode. Unless that is, he's horribly mistransformed in the stock images and box photography. Kind of doubt it though. The takara jetwing prime might end up being the definitive tf3 prime figure imho.
Bumblethumper
if it weren't for his arm kibble, I think it'd be reasonably acceptable. It wouldn't bother me so much if they'd been able to fold the wheels and fenders in so they didn't stick out like that. It's like I was saying, they all have unfortunate kibble somewhere. Deluxe Optimus wears the front of his truck as a backpack.

^ Ultimate OP is just shamefull

I'm well impressed how they keep managing to re-engineer a totally different transformation from the same basic design.
I wanted to put the DOTM Optimii all together to see if there's a clear winner, but to be honest, there's stuff I like about all of them. This new deluxe is definitely a solid effort for the size class, but the backpack sets it back somewhat. They all seem to have that one bit of kibble somewhere that detracts from everything they get right. I'm thinking maybe the Cyberverse was the best compromise in the overall scheme.

not in minicon size or scout size. Meanwhile Optimus is available as a Stratosphere suppository and a Cyberverse Commander.
