Remember the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Deluxe Class Bumblebee figure? What would you think if you saw a real life Chevrolet Camaro drive past you with a life-size Mechtech gun?
Well, here it is. From the looks, it seems as though a campaign for the upcoming Transformers 3 movie. Takara-Tomy Toy Forum brings us this photo. Behind the vehicle, we can spot what looks like a render of third Transformers Live Action Movie Bumblebee. Notice the vinyl on the hood (robot mode), it’s the new vinyl rather than the double striped ROTF vinyl.

Just remember people saying "the gun isnt accurate" hehehe

I though hasbro have decided to release a 1:1 scale transformable bubble bee.
Well, the mech tech gun is impressive and I hope fan project could release a 1:1 scale mech tech (non shooting gun) that fit on a real size car. (It would be much better if they put spring load plastic missile.)

I think I doesn't look that bad. But it doesn't look that good either.

Gun=Cool
Car=Cool
Gun+Car=WTF?
That thing looks like it would just cave in the top of the car and break the windshield. Really cheesy-looking in toy form and real life. Now if the gun was coming out of the front, the spoiler, or the hood of the car….
Lord_Starscream
I gotta say not feeling the add on weapons .
I really hope they only apply to the toys and not the movie .
If the are robots in …. Hello what are you hiding driving around with guns all over the car like you out of death race .
Look at the green hornet pop out hidden weapons are the way to go.
And yeah GM did not make the transformers edition camaro the metallic orange colour of the movie .
I own one of the 2010 Tf Ed and I like the look in yellow better.
I saw the film car years ago in person and it looks cool.
But honestly the toys are more yellow then the car was in the movie .
And I am not big on buying myself a Black and Orange Bumblebee .
Hey that's just me

YUR DOING IT WRONG!
This is how it's done!

I sincerely hope this won't result in rednecks trying to make their own mechtech vehicles by ducktaping a machine gun to the hood of their pickup. All I'm saying…
iamamachine
I am just glad the roof of the camaro is very sturdy.
DecepticonsRule
And I thought Mechtech were just stupid gimmicks added for the toys.
If the others are going to be getting Mechtech as well, it's possible that the Wreckers are like SUPED UP Mechtech vehicles.

It reminds me of the Darwin Award where the guy put a jet engine on the back of his convertible, and then drove the thing into the side of a mountain. Just in reverse. Then again, depending on the weapon, the recoil might not be so bad. But that's just me using normal physics to describe a fantasy movie.
SaberBurst
That looks silly.

Makes sense.. It looks very cool in person.
It's closer to orange than yellow.
there are other differences though.. The body style seems much more low profile, better wheels, a spoiler, lights were different, side view mirrors were much more low profile. I'm sure a lot of the production vehicle comes down to safety standards that the movie props don't have to adhere to.
I will say that the Italia was far and away the best looking vehicle there.
I took pics of bee ->

That little V shaped slit on the front would have been Ideal for a K.I.T.T. Scanner plate.

I've got Mechtech Fever! Movie toys can actually put up a fight now.
Until more generations of course.
tomagnus
ugh… don't really care for all this mech tech stuff. hope it's not in the movie. if this keeps up I may actually save some $$ this year when it come to movie toys.
dragon

HIM666fan
that gun looks like a toy ugh!! please god dont let this shitty gimmick be in the movies!!!! it looks so damn dumb!
Ra88
It's pretty obviously a toy promotion and not an actual movie prop.
