Our friends and sponsors at Big Bad Toy Store have put up new official images of the Transformers 2010 Voyager Class Wave 4. Reveal the Shield, Hunt for the Decepticons or whatever else you want to call it, it doesn’t change the awesomeness that are the three new toys in this assortment.
Strafe, first revealed some time ago in Wal-Mart computers, has finally been revealed! He’s a redeco of Revenge of the Fallen NEST Alliance Mindwipe, painted primarily in white gray and red in homage to Generation 1 Strafe, right down to the orange on his weapons. He’ll also be a good color match for the recently released Sunspot who can connect to him (or Mindwipe) in vehicle mode.
Joining Strafe in this wave are Solar Storm Grappel aka Classics Grapple, who we have already seen is a heavily remolded Universe Inferno. The sole new mold in the assortment, and this news editor’s personal favorite based on the images, is Lugnut! Lugnut is based on the Decepticon heavy muscle from Transformers Animated, but is given a more realistic Movie (or Classics) makeover. These pictures show he will be something special, with articulated fingers being evident, along with a full range of arm and leg articulation, but perhaps the most significant for those familiar with the Animated Lugnut toy – an articulated neck! No more need Lugnut fear an enemy attacking him from the side, because now he can look round and see them coming!
All joking aside though, check out our mirror of the new pictures of this extremely promising assortment of Voyagers by clicking on the title of this story.

Hmm, not feeling the Strafe. And he's one of my favorite jets.
I'm impressed with how thin Lugnut's wings are thought.
Shatterpoint
Strafe has giant Autobot insignias on his wings…..SOOOOOOO WIN !
Thundershot
Wouldn't people just shit if Strafe turned out to be a Decepticon?
Zress Tayasu
thread is a little tl;dr for me right now, but I gotta say, strafe doesn't hide his faction well. look at his wings carefully and you realize…
lugnut is awesomesauce tho. solidly DOWANT.
Thundershot
Oh good. There's a preorder now for a 3 pack, so I don't have to get a case with 2 Lugnuts.
Pravus Prime
Pre-ordered United Lugnut. Purple FTW.
I'm still a little concerned about the mold, hopefully some pre-release reviews will assuage them.
dario_julius
Would definitely get that Lugnut.
racnruin
Hopes to get strafe Since I never saw Mindwipe in stores Grappel As well since I never got a hold Universe Inferno
Lugnut can't wait to get him
Blackdrop
I think G2 Mindsets head is the best fit
Emperor Zarak
I'm drooling at how awesome they all look
RedAlert Rescue
I would consider it news if ;
1) It was the first sighting of a product in a bricks and mortar store
2) it was the first pre-order or instock listing for an item online
3) if the item was onsale or part of a special offer or promotion of some kind – especially if the item is a store exclusive or limited availability item.
For example in the UK Tesco have a Half price promotion on toys and are nationally advertising that Leader Optimus is in the sale including in their adverts.
This is interesting to me as not only is it informing ou of a place to look for Optimus (& Jetfire & Megatron) Half Price it's also a store that has the benifit of loyalty points and money off vouchers so it's a "desirable" place to buy things for that reason.
Now if I was to start a thread saying Half Price Tesco toysale where would I put it ?
1) Transformers Leader Class Optimus Jetfire & Megatron feedback ?
2) News & Rumours
3) UK Sightings
4) UK Social Group
5) Deals & Coupons
Whereever I put it I'd probably be breaking one rule or other.
But I feel useful info like that is just the sort of thing people are missing out on. if someone saw an nationally advertised promotion on Transformers at Walmart or Target (for America) or for any country specific chain putting it anywhere other than news would mean hardly anyone would see it.
Taking the example of BBTS if someone saw this topic they might think "ah I have some stuff in my pile of loot/ on pre-order" so I might as well order some of these from BBTS at the same time and save on shipping.
Sure a topic might not be such a use to everyone – but I can see how it would be a use to some. even if it's something as simply knowing what is available to buy where and who is cheapest or most expensive.
Perhaps there needs to be a Online sightings thread or something like that ?
This is a problem when there is certain characters people have a lot of trouble finding or
if something old that was though disapeared shows up again at a clearance retailer.
If someone posts it only in local sightings threads no one would have a clue that some place like TK MAXX / TJ Maxx had something unusual unless it was in a place everyone can see it – as illustrated by the recent instances of Animated Activators Clearance stock.

Grapple i'll get, lugnut is growing on me so he's a definite possiblility, and strafe is a PASS for now(not that I don't like him), being that I try to avoid repaints for the sole purpose of having limited space for these guys to hang out/be displayed.

I'm loving some of these more atypical bios coming out of the HftD lineup. Hailstorm, too, has this wonderfully characterful bio that runs almost entirely against how one would think of him on first impression.
Whovian Zorker
I picked up Sunspot during lunch. And read the bio. I'm wondering if Hasbro wanted to use the name Sunstroke but it wasn't available:
What better way for an Autobot to interrogate an enemy if the enemy doesn't know he's an enemy? I mean, do you have any enemies who would be willing to give you a piggyback ride?

Nice to see that Kup is indeed a new mold. And a nice one, at that! SO glad they went with a somewhat retro-looking truck, rather than a futuristic truck. Japanese Lugnut and Jazz look great, too. And that photo of Perceptor has 100% sold me on him. I know the general reaction to that figure has been pretty underwhelmed, but I always loved Perceptor as a kid and this figure evokes him really well while skirting the always-irritating issue of mass-shifting.
So much great stuff coming up. Where the hell am I gonna find room for them all?

It has been a while since I have been really excited about a fig, but that lugnut looks really nice. The wings are a little over long in alt mode, but that bot mode is fantastic. I cannot wait to get ahold of this one.
Bovril
Personally I think Lugnut is all the better for being green, and the plane deco rocks. Could be a rival to the Mindwipe mold which IMO is the best Voyager out there at the moment. Having said that, Strafe looks like ass.
Whovian Zorker
He has the bulk for Dreadwind, but Hi-Zack's head makes me think of G1 Whirl.
Well, with one able to rotate (Inferno) and one not (Grappel), it will differentiate the two more. Inferno can be displayed with forearm panels rotated and shoulder covers in back, and Grappel with forearm panels unrotated and shoulder covers to the sides. (Honestly, it took me quite a while to realize Inferno's forearm panels were capable of rotating! Either it wasn't in the instructions or I didn't notice it.)
Strafe…wow, that looks shiny. Anyone have any m4d sk1llz for photoshopping the actual toy instead of just the picture? I amost wish that they had just done a Sunstorm or Sunburst (or whatever) instead to better go with Sunspot. Still planning to buy, though….
My wallet just grows to hate me more and more as the days go on….
