| Toys 'R Us Exclusive Inferno and Mudflap Out in the United States |
| Posted on 06-11-2008 at 12:29 PM by Tim Formas | The Toys 'R Us Spring 2008 exclusive Movie Voyager-class figures have been sighted at a Toys 'R Us store in North Riverside, Illinois by yours truly. This exclusive wave consists of Inferno (Armada Red Alert repaint) and Mudflap (Cybertron Mudflap repaint). A picture of the shelves from the Toys 'R Us as well as a scan of the receipt can be seen by clicking on the image to the left.

Hmmmm...I was hoping that it would be a while longer before the released them, as I plan on getting a Mudflap to turn into Scrapper. I might just have to either wait and buy one off of a fellow board member, or wait and use a different mold for him.

I almost want Mudflap, but I dont have the money to blow on it. Don't want Inferno at all. Hell, I still can't afford Jetstorm and Wingblade either, and I want them even more.

I am going to probably get Mudflap since he is a decepticon and that's the kind of Transformers that I collect.
(To let you know something, during the week [ok...actually Mon - Thurs] of 6-23 & 6-30, I will be working at TRU as a Job trial and I "may" get a job there at the Colerain TRU in Ohio so perhaps I could see if they pop up around there.)

This store is pretty good with stocking new items when they have the room. However, the Transformers area was still stocked full of the exclusive Ultras and about a dozen or so Movie Thundercrackers. Given the amount of Thundercrackers on the shelves (in addition to some Rescue Ratchets), I figured I wouldn't see them there first.
Given that Hasbro said late May/early June for these exclusives, I'm surprised we didn't see them until now. The date of the first sighting is usually early on or before the tentative date. This release was more towards the tail end.

Guess I'll be heading to TRU this weekend. Mine's usually pretty good about getting their exclusives in and all so I should be able to find them this week. Well, just Inferno, because I really don't care for the Mudflap mold and I like it even less in the bright yellow for some reason. Inferno... he's hot... and I love the Red Alert mold too. Inferno rocks and will be a nice addition to my A/E/C Autobot forces.

If it's more of an issue with the color selection, you'll like it a little more in person. Inferno too is even nicer in person. The brown in the robot mode really is striking and the silver detailing is a nice touch.

I sold my original Mudflap because I didn't like the way he had his truck 'cockpit' and crane basically hanging off of his arm like he does. The idea was cool with the hidden weapons in them and all (not to mention that aside from this I think he's a really good mold), but the execution just turned out too bulky for my tastes.
Though, I will say that I may be tempted when I go to pick up my Inferno if he looks as good as you say in person. Quote:

- What's his Minicon's name?
- Does he still have the same "RED ALERT WOO WOO WOO" sound, or did they change it so he wasn't saying another toy's name?

I notice the receipt scan has a different number for each figure; 653559323327 and 653568323334, from the look of things. Could someone who has them or a receipt confirm that I have those numbers transcribed correctly (I wasn't sure about some of the 5's, 6's and 8's)? Also, any idea which number corresponds to which figure? I'm only really looking for Mudflap and would like to try running those numbers at TRU if I don't see the figures on shelves. Thanks!
