 | | | ROTF Starscream High-Resolution Gallery! | | Posted on 02-07-2009 at 11:12 PM by Shin Densetsu | Thanks to 2005 boards member GenZhao, we now have a high resolution gallery of Starscream from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! This gallery contains image of both the robot mode & F-22 Raptor alt mode!
This all new mold of Starscream is a vast improvement over the previous 2007 movie version! It features less kibble, retractable landing gear, much more accurate alt & robot modes, no arms hanging off of the wings, & missles that can be placed in the missle launchers, or under the wings!
Click on the title bar to check out more images of this figure from all angles!

Im not sure if i'll take them off though, depends on how cool it looks in live action
Samus_Ng:
Sure the tattoos can be easily removed but why would we wanna do that? He's pretty accurate with them on, taking them off would simply make him TFTM 1 Starscream again
cheetorBWORG:
1 word... Beautiful. Oh... and Perfect. A Perfect representation of Starscream. They got him right.
clonemanager:
The head sculpt looks better than the first one ; improvement seen on alt mode, and now has hands ... robot mode looks ok;... but still it is a fat chicken.
OMEGAPRIME1983:
To Optronix_prime and Samus_Ng, I was just simply stating that they tats could be removed because I kept reading that people don't like the tats on him. A little rubbing alcohol and elbow grease and the tats are gone.. Wala, everyone wins. And Optronix_prime, the tats look like they are painted, not stickers.
kajobaldisimo:
NOW THAT IS A JET! i can forgive the robot mode. actually very excited to get my first ever movie starscream.

Omnibus Prime:
Definitely better than '07 in both modes...but I'll wait for a silver repaint sans tats.
Beastbot X:
LOVE the tribals. The original Starscream looked too plain, IMO, this really livens it up.
I think the original Voyager Starscream's legs are better, but other than that, I think this one beats out the original in every way.
Optimus Matt:
finally a transformer jet thats not carrying a tank under it. is it deluxe or voyager? looks smaller than the first one.
Goretex:
Man, that robot mode is something awful! I know this really isn't much different than the first toy...but the proportions are so off! He is way too squatty lookin.
It would have been nice to see him obtain a new alt/robot mode especially as a "main character" instead of updating it with some tribal tattoo's.
Blitz.:
its much nicer then the first thats a given and I like how the rear wings become the chest rather then just hanging off his body
dorfsquest:
That Starscream is absolute win. I'll take five.
SharkyMcShark:
Now this I will be spending my money on... Vast improvment over the first Screamer toy, which in fairness to it did have a lot of play value... it just didn't have particularly convincing alt mode or transformation.
You know it's sad really... Animated was the first line where I've had disposable income with which to buy my own Transformers throughout the entire line's existence, but I managed to resist going completist because I really dislike the art style.
I have a feeling that the movie 2 toys are going to bankrupt me.

firehawc_69:
Love the mold, hate the paint job. Can't wait for Target to do a Deep Space recolor of this so I can throw my 2007 one in the trash.
caecae22:
looks alot better than original

Not likely since the alt modes are actually realistic looking in the movie. How does a Raptor with Cybertronian tats blend in?
Oh, hey Mike, didn't notice that was you I got my other ROTF Scouts last week, thanks again!

Oh, hey Mike, didn't notice that was you I got my other ROTF Scouts last week, thanks again! | Go read the Alliance and Defiance comics, Starscream gets the tattoos on Cybertron
Type-R:
Sweet. Really cool transformation scheme this time around.

Just too bad about the smaller size.
Liege Prime:
I don't know why, but when I watch the movie, I don't see a monkey kite, but both this and the first voyager SS toys still look like monkey kites. Yes, I guess they got it right if you compare it to certain stills, but just from memory this toy doesn't make me think of what I saw in the movie as SS. Just not a very good looking toy (in robot mode).
Digilaut:
Looking good, glad he has hands! Alt mode is a vast improvement, but I'm not really sure about robot mode (except for the hands, of course). Comparing him to the old one, there is something off in the new one and I can't put my finger on it...
But I'll definitely get him!!
edit: seen the video review..damn he's smaller! but he does look better on video!
GUIGUI:
Is it possible to push the Pilot cabine more inside the figure in robot mode (maybe just before completing the transformation)?
There look like there is a sort of separation of the piece that allow that.
kajobaldisimo:
it's a shame they're using the old mold for skywarp.
would buy all the repaints of this!

Anyway, the figure is looking mighty nice, his transformation is sweet, I'll probably be picking him up.

And oh shit, that's probably the best SS mold I've EVER seen! I have all 4 Takara Masterpiece Starscreams(MP-3,MP-6,MP-7,USA Edition) and I can't believe I think this one beats all of them! What a masterpiece in engineering, look at that transformation, this is truly the best Starscream ever!
Osaru Sensei:
Kickass vehicle mode + so-so robot mode = Will probably buy him. Simply for that sweet F-22 Raptor. AMG:
This guy is bought for the alt mode alone. The bot mode does have a great amount of detail too.
Sol Fury:
I love the jet mode, but I'm not a fan of the way the chest and everything fits together in robot mode. The lower torso just looks off, like he's too wide or something.
Still, I might pick one up if it's not too expensive when I see it. The jet mode is awesome.
Takara_destron:
Beautiful!

He's EXACTLY proportioned like in the movie, including his lower torso. That's how Starscream was designed, he's wide. Ceasar121:
Love the new mold. Love it. If there are 6 repaints, I'll buy it 6 times. one thing tho... why didn't they use the premium silver paint? Dammit Hasbro. That's so cheesy. Also, why not use the tats as an excuse to give Screamer more of his color scheme? A big black tat on the face would give use the black head, some subdued reds and blues (dark metallic shades) would give him his color... would like nice. I may have to try my first repaint.
GUIGUI:
Isn't there something transformable at the cockpit level? It really look like there is a way those pieces here could be separate (at the places showed by the green lines):
By Gazma Scourge_151:
A definite improvement over the first toy, one I shall be looking out for.
*edit* having watched the video review the jet mode is so much of an improvement it isn't even funny.

He's EXACTLY proportioned like in the movie, including his lower torso. That's how Starscream was designed, he's wide. | his legs are too small, on the toy they are short and have human-style articulation, in the movie picture you've shown its clear to see that his legs should be much longer and articulated like a horse's back legs, ie. the ankle is 1/3 the way up the leg and the 'foot' is just actually toe-tips
on the plus side, i like his g1 arm-cannons.. what i'd really like to see now is aftre prime gets trashed by the decepticons in the forest, starscream to turn around from the top of the cliff and fire off a few parting shots, which inadvertently leads to prime being saved and repaired Quote: |
thanks for the ride prime, too bad you cant go the rest of the way
| David-John:
I'm so glad I passed on the original Movie Starscream now. Proper hands and lack of ridiculous undercarriage really is a mighty blessing. I just wish that if the hands are to be so poorly hidden in jet mode they weren't such a standout blue colour. They look kind of goofy, wish they were the same white as the rest of him. But that's only a very minor complaint.

Still think it's a bit much for the jet itself. And don't get me wrong, the tribal tats look badass, they just don't belong on an F-22.
Guess we'll all have to wait and see, me more than others (

Also, his leg articulation is just like in the movie, the picture doesn't show it, but look at the newest video of him. He still has the "hind legs" effect going on.
DieMaus:
Hmmm...that video review was enlightening, to say the least. I'm still not 100% sold on robot mode - I can see the advantages, but I still prefer the build, height, and head sculpt on Deep Space Starscream - but the jet mode is such an absolutely titanic improvement that it's hard to believe. I'm keeping DS SS, but I think that this guy might have to get bought in some form as well; I'll wait to see what repaints come along, probably, but this is definitely a mould that looks worthy of my time.
Robogeek28:
Wow, this Starscream while being MUCH better than the first version still looks like crap to me. The alt mode is gorgeous and the transformation is very impressive, but the movie aesthetic just does nothing for me.
Astrotrain52:
Looks a little short, but I will be picking this guy up. Tattoos are a win in robot mode, okay looking in F-22 Mode. So much better than TF1 Starscream. We actually have hands now! Would have preferred fists, but its still better than what we got in TF1.
If possible, can we see some comparison pics with TF1 Starscream?
RodimusDawg:
Hmm no pics!!! But I gander this was a sweet upgrade from the original based on everyone's response here.
wheeljack359:
Although Im usually a hater when it comes to the movie line; I will say this is a very big improvement over the last toy. I would like to see a skinnier head though, it would be more on screen like. his head looks like a bird to me in the toys ( not in the move though).
I think if they skinnied up the body just a tad and made his head more oblonged instead of dome shaped. that would be great!
I do have to say as far as the movie line goes this toy is better than most!
aprim:
Nevermind. If I don't have anything nice to say. I'll shut up.
