underwear-ninja:
Starscream's been hanging around Mike Tyson, judging by the new face tat.
RedAlert Rescue:
I'd really hope that his hips can compress a bit more the CGI one still has a gap in the groin but it's not a wide - if the gap was less his legs would be closer together and he's look a fair bit better - that that the upper thighs can not be tilted aback on their vertical access so that they look like a less wide stance as can be done with the 2007 version.
It's alright I suppose - the jet modes definately an improvement over the previous one - but I prefer the other ones robot mode (even with the rubbish arms it had)
I hope if they sell this in a "value boxed set" they sell one with no tatoos and don't just repack it.
I wonder if they make a Movie Thrust if they will use this mold or the old mold.
The Mech- Alive feature looks like a complete waste of time and effort - and if it had been absent perhaps they could have put a bit more paint on the underside or more structural detail into the legs and arms.
But then I suspect Mech- Alive is a idiotic idea 'period' all did did to the Audi is ruin his arm articulation for a feature that is of zero use or interest to anyone sensible.
Starscream is as bad all it does is chunky up hi jet mode in a inconvenient place for a feature that is not even acurate to the CGI version.

Paradigm-Shift Prime:
Looks better than the old mold, I don't know about those giant claws hanging out the back of the alt mode though.
jeibal02:
1. StarScream had hands in the first movie, they ARA VARIOUS movie images that confirm this, he even showed his hands in the closeup over Sam's head when he fired at Ironhide and Rachet, the gun is on top of his hands. So BAY doesnt need to explain anything to his idiot fans who dont pay attention
2. WHY does it matter how his legs are shaped, contrary to popular belief they ARENT HUMANS so it doesn't matter if his legs aren't like yours, they look great with him, and fit what they were trying to go for.
3;. you complain about legs, but not that stupid writing on all the new toys? Thats to extra, its not realistic either, since everyone is an expert on realism now
BigRC83:
Tribal tattooed ROTF Voyager Starscream. What will they think of next? PASS.

Movie Starscream has always had hands. The first Movie's
Voyager class toy Starscream didn't, but the on-screen version, FAB version, and I think even the Legends version all had hands.
DOWNFORCE:

Cool your jets brother. I was simply asking a question and pointing out what I remember about the toy(didnt clarify in original post). No need for name calling.
Skylock:
Wow, I thought I was done with the movie jet mold, maybe not.
deqalb:
Thanks mike for the pics. He seems so much better than the 1st one with a neater back and all. Can he make the epic pose that he did like in the tftm1 promo pic? The one with his left hands up in the air and he looking at it like 'I got the powahhh' kinda pose.
Toxicon:
Oh my god, this mold is just full of WIN. it's so much better than Screamer's old mold! This is so bought
edit: Not digging the tats though...
Dirge121:
Aww man. What did they do to the legs?
The old ones legs, on this ones body, I would buy. Sadly, it wouldnt transform anymore.
Unless they extend more to the point of actually looking like Starscreams legs, Im passing.
konrathink:
I'm so glad I got the first Starscream! This guy had me intrigued, but that bot mode looks dopey. I like the slimmer jet mode and the tats, but that robot looks like the dorky fat kid at recess that no one wants to play with.
razorchrist:
I think the biggest thing urking about this figure is that, just like his original TF1 toy, it's almost purposely miscolored. I mean, why is it so friggin difficult just to paint this thing silver like it should be from the START - not a year later as a 'premium' version? He was never painted in desert camo and certainly isn't black & off-white like this toy either.
Or is this another instance where the mold is supposedly so good that we're not allowed to complain about the wrong colors *until* the better version comes along? Christ.
OMEGAPRIME1983:
BOUGHT! I do ask though, could you give us a close up shot of his head please? Thanks much! I am so buyin 2 of this figure, and 1's gettin the tats taken away for the clean realistic vehicle mode. Yes, oh yes indeed.

well compared to still images from the movie, this new ROTF starscream looks WAYYYY more like the starscream in the movie, especially the arms, neck, shoulders, rear wings, flap wings, chest... just wayyy more accurate

He could have or could get the tribal allspark markings in ROTF
Dinobot Nuva:
Something's off about the bot-mode...
Regardless, it doesn't look anywhere near as dazzling as Deep Space Screamer, but I'll still pick it up. Here's hoping we'll get some slick repaints from it.

Riiight... you mentioned Bay when discussing the toy... that makes sense
SmokescreenGT:
Starscream with actual hands = total buy for me!
StarFire_MK2:
I'm still not a fan of the movie line, but full kudos to Hasbro/Takara for not simply doing a re-colouring of the old movie molds. First Prime, then Starscream. Maybe I'll buy some ROTF toys, if they keep this up!

Your right I did. I honestly didnt notice them in the movie.
Chaos Prime:
Wow that is not a flattering toy at all. Starscream still looks like a dingis. But at least this time he's got hands.
Solrac333:
Damn he looks good.

It's not the tribal markings that are the problem - it's that the color everywhere else is basically white.

The toy is practically identical to the movie model, as much as is realistically possible in this size figure. I can't see how anyone can complain about the robot mode, it's spot on.
AnimatedFan:
Eh...I might pass on him. I will say though, all of the panels and pieces that move...shows that it's probably a pretty complex transformation. (I'm hoping the robot mode can do better than that...)
Why we didn't get this figure last time is beyond me. That transformation is something else.

Hasbro and Takara had to start designing/engineering the toy before the actual character design could be finished, in order to be ready for launch in June '07.
UltraDevmodious:
Still not feeling this toy. Don’t really like the cybertronian tattoos whatsoever. I do like that they gave him hands over those god awful missile launchers from the first movie line. Easy pass nonetheless.
Katamari Prime:
Damn you, Hasbro!
Now I'll have to find a way to figure it out how to replace him with '07 Starscream in my comic.
Admiral Lilwall:
this completely kills the original, this is how it shoulda been first time round
ROY BOT:
Its hard to believe that awesome jet can transform into such a piece of crap.
SteamFan42:
Well, at least he has real hands now...
thygriever:
sweet! i almost regret buying the older version..
Baird:
Never liked the 'sumo' aspect of this movie design.
phoenixliger:
(Sigh)i really wanted a leaderclass starscream in this release since these seem to be a big improvement over the original movie figures i can only imagine how cool he would have been if he was bigger. i wonder what leaders there going to release this time i only picked up the brawl figure and i was very happy with him!
Cory Bauer:
Thank you for the pics, GenZhao. He's not great, but he's a definite improvement over the voyager we got for the first movie
JAYSCREAM:
if it wasnt for the tats id be totaly sold on this.
OMEGAPRIME1983:
Everyone here does know the tats are very easily removed, right??
oddacidtea:
I can't wait to see what the Radicons can do with this.
Samus_Ng:
Wow what an improvement on the mold, Can't wait to see your video review Mike, looking forward to see his transformation and mech-alive gimmick on the head. Quite possibly the best Starscream ever
Shin-Gouki:
Hurry and download the pictures before Hasbro makes them take them down!
eTalking:
i knew there was a reason i held off on buying the original mold.
this looks great! can't wait for the video review.
ckhtiger:
man that design makes me die inside everytime I see it. there's some of these I can handle, and some I just like to pretend don't exist.
taterx:
Man I dig the bot mode and the look of the Mech Alive gimmick. I bought 2 of the 1st movie mold, I'll buy possibly more of this one. Love the hands, and the tats are bad ass.
dark69:
wow he looks so much better then the last one and i love the tats!
PyroniusRex:
I wish the head an legs looked better, other than that kikahz!
