Thanks to Red leader of TFW2005 sponsor Kapow Toys, there is solid confirmation that the Hasbro will release Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Class Wave 9 and Scout Class Wave 5 in the United Kingdom this month.

UK Deluxe Wave 9 will include 1x Alliance Bumblebee, 1x Strike Mission Sideswipe, 2x Lockdown, 2x Brawn, and 2x Ratchet with a suggested retail price of £14.99 (a £2 increase). Dirge continues to be unreleased in the United Kingdom.

The UK Scout Wave 5 assortment combines the new figures from the last two waves of North American assortment, with two each of Wideload, Brakedown, Scattershot, Divebomb, Sonar, and Skystalker. The suggested retail price on each figure is £7.99.

Gingerchris:
About time. Was getting bored of the same stuff on shelves week after week. Deluxes now at £14.99? Damn, I can buy my imports for that price. And people wonder why we Ukers complain of being shafted all the time.
miscreant:
Would've been nice if BB was swapped out for Dirge.

Too much to hope for i guess.
Phoenix Blaze:
£15!? Okay it's only like £2 more, but hahaha.....no. Hmm, I suppose this means I might just be more critical with what I buy. But I shall be buying Lockdown on sight.

At least we're actually getting something though. But sadly, we'll never see that Voyager Longhaul....

I know it's going to open *that* can of worms, but I do feel thoroughly insulted and feel that it's ridiculous how much worse things have become for UK collectors.
Ratchet2007:
Not that fussed about not getting Dirge tbh
Draven:
Oh yay, another Bumblebee.
Shame about the price hike, but at least we're getting the figures.
Chris McFeely:
So we've skipped over Wave 8, then? Shame about Dirge, but at least he was the only new mold in the wave. Of course, I did just buy all the new figures from THIS deluxe wave from you chaps in the last week, so I guess I'll be holding out a bit longer for any new'uns!

This wave of Scouts combines the next two American waves, as well, so we haven't missed any figures at that size class... so I guess all we're waiting on hear about now is the next wave of Voyagers. Gives me my Bludgeons.

I'm not going to moan about the price, as I've come to the conclusion that you can't import the things for any less than UK retail price anyway, once postage gets factored in.

15 pounds for a deluxe? if we have any British members of drinking age they might need a pint afterwards to was the taste of that price out of their mouth
Airspeed:
New stuff about time good news

The price of deluxes in the UK have been creeping up like some kind of blister packaged ninja.

Might pick up lockdown, but to be honest i'm getting a bit sick of seeing ROTF figures everywhere. I need something new to hunt! Bring on Generations and the last of the Animated figures. Arcee, come see the limeys, me ol' treacle!
prowl26:
Man so while we see prices on Transformers creeping down a bit, we get a price RISE?!?! No fair, I am only picking up Lockdown for sure and MAYBE Brawn. Skystalker to go with the unannounced Mindwipe, I assume he's coming since we get his minion. We have to be getting Bludgeon considering it was the UK comics and a UK writer who made him a cult character.
Storm:
wow from £10 to £13 now £15? Importing suddenly is not a bad option for a lot of people.

Shame they couldn't have taken sideswipe and bumblebee out and put in dirge instead. We've still got Canon Bumblebee, some preview bumblebee and the original sideswipe warming the selves.
Auto Morph:
Well, I ain't paying £15 for a deluxe. I will just wait til they go on sale.

I know some of you won't have the patience, especially after having hardly anything new on the shelves for so long, but I choose to vote with my wallet.

Most of the supermarkets will reduce these items eventually, like they did before Christmas.

I rarely, if ever, pay full retail cost for a TF. Just look at the Animated reductions in TRU to see what can happen over time. If we all rush out and buy up everything in a blind panic at full cost, Hasbro will think it's a great idea to keep the higher prices and then we'll most likely get stuck with them.

I may be way off base with this, but I for one am just going to wait and see how the prices go and wait for any deals (online sources included).

If not, the strategy is to save up all my cash for Auto Assembly and hope for the best!
Omnius:
Yay for Lockdown, Ratchet and all the Scouts. £15 for a Deluxe now? Ouch.
GNX 0014 Purity:
The UK hasn't got Dirge and Bludgeon or Mindwipe yet but I am happy we will be getting wave 9
Blitz.:
£15 rrp... yeah I quit gg Hasbro you found my limit for the price of your average toy.

Also no durge... hmmm well fingers crossed its in the next wave
jetfire4321:
hope you get em guys
sarnian1979:
Does this mean my pre-ordered Brakedown is on it's way
Angelwave:
How come the UK is not getting Dirge? Just curious.

Hasbro UK/Europe are fond of skipping over waves, like the end of Universe, and whatever Voyager wave had Long Haul. Considering the popularity of TFs here, we really do get shat on sometimes.
biscuits:
So, we don't get recon ravage and now there raising the price of deluxe's from £13 (over priced) to £15 (im gonna kill the guy who made that desission)
Bogatan:
Thats a 50% increase in two years. Good job that between the supermarkets, TRU and Argos the toys are almost always reduced somewhere.
Red leader:
Long Haul and Grindor were skipped along with Wave 8, there is currently no news about any new voyager figs yet but there's been a bundle of star wars pre-orders (for retailers) the last few days so fingers crossed this is the first of the TF's.

As for the price hike, we're an independant store so bare in mind it may well be £12.99 they suggest to the big boys like TRU and Tesco etc, dont press the panic button yet

it could be worse, we could collect star wars figs were the price seems to be approaching £10 each (build a droid obviously)

thats a sound stragem but with flaws-
1) as you touched on "blind panic buying" sometimes the waves come and are never seen again. so people will "buy on sight" the figures they want @ the price point (come to papa brakedown)
2) if they dont sell and go on to sale stock all the time well get shafted even more by canclled lines.
3) maby habro u.k. are sick of us bugging them so are begging hasbro u.s. for good stock but are being forced to put the price up due to hasbro u.s.
4)if the nest stuff dont sell we might not get generations
5)we get shafted in the u.k.

Oh I see. I didn't realize that Dirge did not get carried over from the previous wave into the current one.

That's ridiculous.
Red leader:
Well not confirmed just cant believe £2 would have been stuck on the price for one and all however the scouts are the regular price and below is the info from our pre-order sheet.

Stock Code: F-HASB-316
Case Qty: 8
Price Per Piece: £-----
Price Per Case: £-----
RRP: £14.99
Release: March
Red leader:
The next US Voyager assortment / revision is

1) Bludgeon
2) Recon Ironhide
3) Mindwipe
4) Defender Optimus

We're way behind on Voyagers in the UK and the Bludgeon / Recon Ironhide assortment has finished its wholesale run oversea's.
doomtron:

It's the price Hasbro are giving. They're doing their damned best to get transformers out of favour here aren't they. A flagship line and probably their best known due to blockbuster movies and hasbro uk still fail to deliver a full line of toys and then increase the deluxe price by 50% what it was 3 mere years ago.

sometimes i can really see why the term hasblo came into usage and most uk fans just pay what is now £3 extra to get the takara version.

Oh, right. Well... balls, then!

As I say, though, can't work up the energy to grumble about it - importing's no cheaper.
peeman:
£15? .... yeh jog on hasbro

I've refused to buy any deluxe for more than 10
Unitedbot:
They did seem to get wave 5 Deluxe out before wave 4 but this is Hasbro UK they don't have a clue.

I bought Dirge for £12.95 a couple of months ago from staractionfigures I have just looked and he's still in stock. (edit only 1 left) I recommend him he's a great figure.
Scourge_151:
Oh bloody hell, first Long Haul and now Dirge?
We'd better get Bludgeon et al or I'm just going to start importing regardless.

£15 for a deluxe?? The Marvel crossovers are that price and some verge on voyager size.
baggzey23:
OHHH YEAAAHHH

ive already bought scattorshot, brawn, ratchet but i swear to buy lockdown and skystalker in shops

shame about dirge

(as south park would say) THEY TOOK OUR DERGE

but wheres mindwipe, and recon ironhide, and bludgeon

and why £15 instead of £13

stupid $1 = £1 (when in fact $1 = £0.62) i think

WHAT!!! £10

I THOUGHT WER'E IN RECESSION

F*CK YOU HASBRO

what no new armourhide

YOU BAST*RDS I DONT WANT THE SH*TTY ALLSPARK BLUE ONE
Unitedbot:
Still the shops will still need to clear the current waves, which they no doubt over ordered on before the new stuff is put out. The Sainsburys near me even offered 50 extra nectar points if you bought a deluxe figure they only had Skids, Swerve and Arcee.

I am looking forward to the new Scouts though.
Metalhead:
Allow me to jump on the "£15?, fuck that noise!" bandwagon, if there's room. Like balls am I paying that much for a deluxe, even for Lockdown.

I'll wait for the sales.

Oh there's plenty of room!

All together now "Oh We're Not Gonna Take It no, We Ain't Gonna Take It oh We're Not Gonna Take It Anymore we've Got The Right To Choose And there Ain't No Way We'll Lose It"

Triggerhappy:
....oh for the days of when a deluxe was £7.99! (Robots in Disguise)
Liam Prime:
well at least weve got some news. weve had bugger all in the uk for the past few months. dosent make it any better that 1 of our best toy retailers has gone

Steady on mate
scubaboy31:
unbelievable. I don't think I can justify paying £15 for a deluxe. God knows how much forbidden planet will charge now that the RRP matches their ludicrous price hikes.

Online it is for me then. Shame as I'd much rather buy instore. Shows that the brand is popular.

That's ok for you guys, here in Guernsey Woolies was the only high street toy shop we had, and with them gone the 2 local toy shops we're now stuck with really don't know what they're doing, and without major UK competition I don't think they really care either.

One (the largest) has not bought in any new TF stock since before Xmas. The other has 2 shelves full of Leader Bulkhead at full price, (which I bought on eBay for £5!) a half shelf of RPM's and some TF themed bouncy balls and that's it!

And we'd get them at less than £15 as well, because we don't pay VAT, we just never get any bloody new stuff in. Thank god for Kapow keeping my plastic crack addiction in check.
Dirge121:
£15 for a deluxe?
Yeah, Im done buying at retail. The shit hasbro is putting out wasnt worth £13, another price hike is just spitting in the face of your customers.
Oracle_Aesir:
Oh this is good, and I'll probably buy Dirge from an online seller

Though unless they come out at TRU this weekend, I might have to wait til the middle of April to buy them
Pavol Palat:
Psssst, all UK guys who are complaining about the new increased price, 15 GBP for your deluxes is still muuuuuuch better than paying 18 EUR in Slovakia (and we have been paying this price for years now, ever since the first movie)
bumblebot98:
Meh, I'll probably be getting the IM2 toys so I might not bother with this until April-May.
