Megatron's paintjob seems alright. But still a pass for me since I don't like the mold. Doesn't do the kickass cgi design justice...

I thought they were named "Shadow Command Megatron" and "Defender Optimus Prime"?

Love the prime mold, but it just needs to die at this point along with Bumblebees.

And the Megs mold is just bad no matter how you paint it.

I like the megatron re-deco, but i doubt i'll buy it.

neverbought a voyager prime... this one ain't putin it over the top for me either.

oh yeah! That Megs is sick, though the mold is meh and the whole no elbow on the murder arm kills the mold even more for me, im a sucker for black repaints and this will be a great edition to my black shelf!!!

I might just get that Megs, despite the two crappy arms. That mold looks very pretty in black.

Optimus looks quite good, imo. I might actually get him, even though I already have RotF Leader Prime. I could allter & add some paint apps, and call make him a movie-verse Magnus.

Megatron on the other hand looks absolutely horrible. The black and most of the gray/silver looks good, but the bronze/brown and orange ruin it for me. I'm really glad I'm waiting for the inevitable new Leader class mold he'll be getting for TF3's toyline.

I still think the Leader Megs mold is grossly under-rated.

Megatron's colours look nice minus the head scheme. Prime is okay. Neither are a buy since neither moulds are that awesome.

I'm happy with the original, but the Megatron doesn't look half bad.

This Megs looks really good. I may have to see it in person first though. Voyager Prime still does nothing for me.

I don't know. I'm beginning to think that the next Megatron won't even be able to walk. They'll have him in a giant wheelchair with a dorky helmet, so he doesn't hurt himself, when he bangs his head on the wall. Don't tell Bay, he'll do this out of spite!

I'll get these two when they eventually go on half price in like a years time, since I already have the molds, but I like the colourschemes and prime's new guns

I like that Megatron better than the original soap bar.

I'll be picking up Prime, Megatron looks nice, but not articulated enough and too pricey.

That Megatron looks awesome! Very glad I waited on the mold.

I also find Prime oddly cool. The colors work well in robot mode.

The colors used on this SC Megatron are some that would always go great together. However, I just don't think they work for this mold.

And that Prime is a waste. If they wanted to recolor a voyager mold they should've used Incinerator instead.

Meh... Why doesn't Hasbro use the "Premium" silver finish from the 2007 line? I can't tell that they charged any more for the premium treatment in '07. Why not just do the paint upgrade right the first time? It's not like their painting a few for fans. Any up cost for "Premium" colors would surely be spread over the bajillion ROTF toys they've sold to retailers. I just don't see why they wouldn't do it right the first time. Takara seems to do it right all the time. Where's the love Hasbro?

if the title added "voyager class" on Final defense Optimus Prime, I 'd not click on this thread.

Any title with Optimus Prime makes me think of the US Hasbro version of the Takaratomy 's RA-24.

I've said that a few times as well. I think there's a good chance of it happening down the road.

Pass on both. I prefer the voyager Megs anyway.

Damn, that Megatron repaint looks better then I thought it would.
It almost makes me want to actually buy it, but I'm still not all that impressed with the mold.
If the murder arm had actually been able to close over the forearm to create a much more soild look, then I'd be more into it. Looking at the mold, it almost looks like that was originally an idea that for whatever reason got taken out.


The Optimus repaint is a joke.

I love the Megatron mold and love how he belows "I AM MEGATRON!" and my whole room shakes. I won't be buying this one though. Hasbro would have had to make him look extra sinister in order to buy a black mold. It looks good though.

The color scheme on both simply have no harmony! I think they should have went straight to premium finishes for the next run like they did for the TF1 line.

I'm not too crazy about the "Megaclown" finish! A black base paint with silver and bronze highlights and red accents sounds great in theory but here looks ill-placed. The Animated, Shadow-Megs repaint looked better than this.

And what did Prime step in for his feet to look like that!? I was already saddened with the dull, brown-gray plastic on his first TF2 edition -I repeat, brown-gray plastic for robot limbs!! Now this "Optimus Clown" repaint comes along and makes me want to take a pill.

I'm SURE that the inspiration for these paint schemes did NOT come from the forums. Things like this always make me wonder what happens to all the unsold plastic and packaging. If it was recycled I sure would sleep better!

In conclusion...
Dear Hasbro: Please give us a premium finish, Voyager Megatron and Leader Class Optimus -and leave em' alone!

Thank God for all the amazing customizers in the community who really show us what "more than meets the eye" should look like.

It is time for a new Voyager Prime mould, I must agree. Something that at least makes me think "Hmmm, you might be worth buying" rather than something I look at and think "RotF Leader Prime kills you in so many different ways". Can't agree on the Megatron mould, though. I quite like it. Screen accurate it isn't, but it has "playable value".

If you need something doing right, do it yourself. His teams have failed miserably so far in achieving their stated goals. And that name needs to be used for a future repaint!

I very much doubt that it's actually that kind of gold plastic. Most likely it's gold paint.
