Revenge of the Fallen Scout Class Slap Dash, Trenchmouth, Beachcomber & Deadlift Package Shots 2009117141032275
The Arker has given us package shots for the new Revenge of the Fallen Scout Class repaint wave. We finally can put names to the figures and see that they will be offered in Autobot vs Decepticon NEST Global Alliance two packs. Combined bio for the Slap Dash vs Trenchmouth "Windy City Chase" set:

Everything Slap Dash does, he does in a hurry. Not because he's fast - though he is - but more because he's lazy. Careful planning just isn't his thing. Unfortunately, Trenchmouth is not the sort of Decepticon you want to fight without some foresight. He may be a filthy, poorly tuned road hog, but he's also a smart, canny fighter.

and Beachcomber vs Deadlift's "Road Rival Showdown":

There was a time when neither Beachcomber nor Deadlift were interested in warfare. Beachcomber spent his time exploring the barren wilderness of remote planets, while Deadlift enjoyed the function of transporting deactivated Decepticons to the smelting pools for repurposing. Now, however, the war has drawn both of them into its grip, and the two find themselves in a close-quarters fight to the finish.

Cool set, always wanted those 2 molds. I thought Peaugh said that the forklift TF is Spoons?
vectorplex:
wow talk about a curve ball....assumed wheelie....got slapdash.
hasbro prolly doesnt have the right to spoons so we got deadlift
shadowfall1976:
I just wanted Beachcomber, but I do like the Forklift too, I just never
bought him, I guess it's my chance to pick up both molds.

Spoons homage, perhaps, but the odds of him actually being called Spoons were infinitesimally small.

Road Rival Showdown will be one of the easiest Transformers purchases I'll have made in years. It's just so perfect.

I'm a bit less sure about Windy City Chase, but it is a damn good set. I guess we can assume there's at least one more set, with the "Red Baron" Ransack as the Decepticon. Wonder who the Autobot will be.
Valkysas:
trenchmouth?

really?

wow.

are there any other scout besides toaster bot and scappel that havent got repainted?....i cant imagine it would be one of them in a set with the baron
vectorplex:
wait im dumb
the boat repaint
the black version of depth charge. he will prolly be the one packed with red baron
rikkuluverx2:

Nope! Sonar, the boat redeco, is a Decepticon and an individual release, part of a NEST-branded Scout wave. So it wouldn't be him.

There's always a chance that "Baron von Ransack" is an individual release.

No, he's a single release.
ORIO:
Was hoping to pick up Spoons in a singlepack. Looks like I'll have a Beachcomber to sell off.

LOVE to see the name Slapdash.
SPLIT LIP:
Names are useless. They're not tactile things. To me, they'll alway be Wheelie, Spoons and...

...and...

...well hell, anything's better than Trenchmouth.
Chosen:
It never really occurred to me that Hasbro actually named a Transformer with such a silly and inane name as Trenchmouth. I was too distracted by associating Windy City Chase's name with something totally unrelated, hahaha.

It even has a motorcycle! You can't make this stuff up!
Da_Razorsaw:
Trenchmouth is obviously a reference to the way he talks. It has nothing to do with his alt mode, it has to do with his personality.

it's a FINE name.
Dran0n:
Bought.

Though, Deadlift shall be known as Spoons!
Hiro Prime:
I like the reuse of the name Slap Dash. It works for me. (Tho I'd still buy a Scout-sized Wheelie head for it and use it for my Classics shelf)

Trenchmouth.... I think I can safely say that Hasbro has run out of ideas for good names. (Hell, Road Rocket would have worked just fine)

Nice idea tho for the two-packs. If they release the Baron as a two-pack, I hope he comes with a Perceptor colored Scalpel.
Beastbot X:
Yeah, I love the name Trenchmouth. He's one of those guys where every other word out of his mouth will be "slag".

Both are great packs, looking forward to purchasing them. I'm guessing Target exclusives?

Edit: The Ransack repaint is NOT GETTING A TWO-PACK, peoples. We've already seen him listed in the 2010 Scout Wave 2 assortment as Divebomb.
Roarv2:
I had a fanfiction character named Deadlift that happened to change into a forklift as well. I had considered repainting that mold into him. Kind of cool I'll have a Deadlift figure. Just wish they'd gotten the colors right LONAC Web - Dead Lift

Yeah, I totally went with the VERY obvious homage coloring. Had I done Beachcomber first I could have learned the proper name before the video. Oh well, I'm hardly infallible.
grimlock1972:
Deadlift fine
Beachcomber awesome
Slapdash cool
Trenchmouth? WTF? odd name for a motorcycle and 3rd use for that mold so far in the ROTF line
Feralstorm:
Damn, looks like we have a new candidate in the "worst name" contest, along with Windbreaker and Discharge. Nothing like sharing a name with severe gum disease.

Lol, its also this: Trench mouth - MayoClinic.com a form of Gingivitis. I can justify a lot of names but this one is a little harder.
Bgrngod:
Wait.. 2-packs? Holy crud! Store exclusives maybe? Target.. I'm looking your direction?
Ratchet2007:
Please don't be Exclusives !

I really want to pick these up !

Well, except for Scalpel and Injector, all ROTF Scout molds have been repainted at least once (although some have yet to be released) so of course we are going to see third uses of some molds.

New Scout molds ARE coming though; Brakedown, Scattorshot, Skystalker
Fort Max:
Those packages aren't bad, might get the deadlift/beachcomber one.
The_Black_Sheep:
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up Beachcomber/Spoons when I find them on the shelves. (:

But... Trenchmouth?!
Dirge121:
Awesome! I never got Dunerunner or Dirtboss, so I'll be grabbing that set.
Triceradon:
Oooh, nice to finally get some names. Dunno why everyone's laughing over Trenchmouth, aside from the aforementioned disease. Trenchs are dirty. He's a dirty talker.

Probably just gonna' pick up Road Rival Showdown, though.
ActionMasterZod:
Was hoping on getting Spoons and Beachcomber, so this just makes it easier!
I love multiple packs that make collecting easier.
Optimus747:
"Slap Dash and Trenchmouth" set wins for having a combo of the goofiest names ever.
"Deadlift" is a pretty cool name.
ams:
Trenchmouth is the greatest new TF name in the last ten years.

For those who seem to not be getting the joke... read his bio, then read this:
Necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He's dirty!
*Soundwave*:
Ill get both 2 packs. I never got these 4 molds, so this is a good opportunity
blackout501st:
trenchmouth and deadlift, huh? AWESOME! but ill be calling him spoons sr. thanks to vangelus.
BScorpinok75:
Spoons will be bought for sure just not sure if I will be adding Beachcomber to my Cla/Uni line-up with him or selling him off after purchase. Slapdash is cool and could be used as a scout sized Wheelie fill in.
Sol Fury:
Most certainly getting the Beachcomber Deadlift set. They both appeal to me. The other set, nice toys, but not feeling them quite so much.
Takara_destron:
Will definitely get the Beachcomber vs Deadlift set. Not so interested in the other one.
Optimus Sledge:
Second repaints of the bike and car molds? Ok, they're nice molds, but these sets are going to have to be cheap for me to buy those molds a third time.

Beachcomber and Spoons, on the other hand, are bought on sight. Probably take the guns off Beachcomber, I can't justify the peace-loving hippie rocking a pair of gatling guns.
Veloxiraptor:
The name Slapdash really does seem a lot sillier as two words.
longhaulfan:
Please please please!!!!!! For the lov e of humanity quit coming out with more figures so quickly!!!!!!!!!!
AniProwl:
Nice decos and bios.
Pity, I already have some of the original figures.
Scantron:
Not sure whether I'll get these or not. The molds are all decent enough and the redecos are decent enough, but neither set is really jumping out at me. I might get them both since Beachcomber and Slapdash could easily be repurposed on my Classics shelf...but we'll see how finances are doing when they come out.
chuckcjc:
"Road Rival Showdown" is a...

Dune Buggy vs. Forklift ??????????????????????

Someone in the naming department is on crack.
Sso02V:
I like Deadlift's bio, because his carting off of Decepticon wreckage can be interpreted in two different ways. He could have been an Autobot, keeping the front lines clean, until something drove him to join the 'cons, or he could have always been a 'con, forced by the war to go from public servant to soldier.
Grimlock_13:
Yes the name Trenchmouth is pretty dumb, but no more reatrded than 'Spoons' which it seems is getting lots of disappointment for NOT being used? God it's not even noon and this site is making me facepalm uncontrollably....

Not really. It's the same as calling a TF "pottymouth." It's not a very good name.
Sharktibolt:
I could easily buy both of these. But the Beachcomber/Spoons pack in priority.

This. I was only interested in Spoons and Beachcomber, as well. Sweet.
