Awesome! The transformation looks a lot easier than I thought it'd be.
Cyber-Kun:
gald to see a review, but for the life of me I can't understand why it was filmed behind black, along with the shadows it was really hard to follow sometimes.
ComicGuy89:
Looks fantastic! Thanks!
EDIT: Although I will not have you dissing the Voyager class toy. That thing was a marvel of engineering at its size. How dare you equate it to a FAB! Or call it a "clunk of plastic!"
Ratchet2007:
I thought there were boosters on his backpack ?
Great review anyway, can't wait for him !

And it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't have that big of a collection outside of the stuff that he has onhand at one time to sell.
Otispq:
Looks good. Hmm, Leader SS or Masterpiece Skywarp...decisions, decisions.
Lazerwave:
OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Now I reeeeeaaaal want him badly!!!
Chaos Prime:
Wow. That's the first time I've ever thought movie Starscream looked good. I have to admit; that leader class figure makes what is normally a really shitty design into something decent.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I might pick this up.
.........Though I might hold out till I see some G1 colors.
Haven't a Clue:
Beautiful, really hoping that the paint apps are better though
clonemanager:
That is NICE ...
Radioactive Ravage:
...You had a Leader Class Prime there with you...
WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE A COMPARISON SHOT?
Otherwise, this toy looks amazing. Instant buy.

Genzhao can't seem to ever transform toys right... that Voyager Starscream was the saddest thing I've ever seen, and makes me think his transformation of Leader isn't the right way to do it.
The lighting was terrible, and he used a BLACK backdrop. I was actually shifting around in my chair wondering if it was my flat screen monitor to blame at first. It's fitting: His photos washed it out, but his video made it impossible to see.
knockoff:
thanks for the review xiexie
the transformation sequence is pretty interesting... really reminds me of a macross valkyrie a' la jetfire's transformation. legs by the intakes swinging out on a bar. arms folded back. and then on top of that, there's the hatch thing atop the plane that you remove to fold the body in half to reveal the head.
i think we need to give him booster armors Xaxis:
I am so glad that I never bought a Voyager Starscream, that mold just didn't appeal to me enough to warrant a purchase. The Leader-class version is what I've been waiting for.
Glad to see it reviewed too, however there were a few things that took away from the quality of this review and made it difficult to watch. - As others have mentioned, don't use a black backdrop
- TURN OFF auto-focus!
- Using the ROTF score would have been more appropriate than the dogfight sounds. Those got annoying fast.
- The KO Toys logo and whatever that baby crying clip is were overused.
Mechafire:
Great video review, awesome figure. The transformation isn't as complex as I thought it's be, not that it's a bad thing. Besides, he looks solid overall.
Rijie78:
Hm, definitely looks great, much better than the voyager. Transforming is quite Macross-Valk-ey. Bit of paint would bring out the details more, so that's all good. But, no back boosters - and especially, no balljointed ankles or transforming gun arm? That's very disappointing, ditching the gimmicky electronics and firing missile could have easily freed up budget for those.
Has gone from a must-buy to a maybe.
Ra88:
Not as complicated as Leader Prime, but still a nice and involved transformation. Electronics are well hidden too, though I can't help but think how much more would have been possible if he wouldn't have had to deal with those. Still, a must get.
Digilaut:
I'm glad to see the grey plastic is darker than it seemed in the photos. You can even make out the white tattoo stripes on his body, which was impossible in the photos taken with flash.
My complaints have been reduced back to not liking the voice clip, and the lack of paint on his face..nontheless, one of the most kickass robots I've seen in the past years.
Knightdramon:
WTF are most of you complaining about? Besides Mindwipe, he compared it to Movie leader Prime, which I'm sure most of us have an idea of how big he is, and movie leader Megatron when in robot mode, in addition to Starscream.
I think we're cheated of one articulation point [couldn't tell but I think his elbows move forward\bend], overall it looks like a killer mould, if only copying VF-1's transformation a bit too much.
wylungz:
nice to see a actual review.. but imma have to agree with the others... if ur going to basically do the only review that we will see for a long time.. do it right!
- can you atleast pose him/position him up right and straighten him up instead of just trying to stand him in the awkward position hes in already.. god. how hard is it to just straighten the legs and arms together... really annoying
- ya really u dont have a ROTF prime or a megs? hard to believe even if he doesnt have a big of collection.. i have like 3 custom ROTF primes on me and one dummy... i'd atleast take the dummy and show it up... or atleast pause the film. transform 07's OP and compare..
- and i kno we all kno this Leader SS is huge. but really we would all like to see it just for enjoyment reasons =P shiet, atleast stand him up straight and put him next to a ruler!
- how the hell does this guy get the prototype version and not be able to give us a nice , clear, nice, detailed review .. if thats the case, they could of just gave it to me and i would of done a better job and would of taken my time to show the world and not just do a half ass 10 min video ... shiet i would of done like 5 takes. and all of them be like 30 mins long and i would of chose the best vid haha.. really makes you think and shows you how these ppl really care or even think of these figures.. i always feel like the ppl who get the figures first are like ehh. its just a job to me. .. i'll just take some pics on my cell phone and post it
=D ok im done! LET THE CRITICISM OF MY COMMENT BEGIN! Stormcrow:
Gotta have him.
Coolhand:
Cool, thanks for the review Genzhao.
Dammit what is wrong with me? I HATE the Starscream movie design on film, so why do I think this Leader toy looks so awesome? What is wrong with my brain? I must have it, but I don't understand why I like it so much! I think I have issues...
Matterzero:
Wow, everything about Starscream is looking great. The altmode is alright, the robot mode great and the transformation looks involved with out being frustrating. Damn this figure is getting picked u as soon as I see him.
alien:
wow wow wow wow~~~
Cesium Salami:
Great figure, review would have been better for obvious reasons. I'd like to see it redone w/ a more colorful but still contrasting backdrop, like blue or green.

and to answer the above question of why black background, I was in a rush , it was the only clean surface
next time ill try to use more lighting, I think it should work well on the black table if there is enough lighting

=D ok im done! LET THE CRITICISM OF MY COMMENT BEGIN! | well u can do it yourself, no one is stopping you, i was in a rush and I wanted a video of it.... you dont ever have to watch my videos or look at my photos
havent opened my prime yet, i got to play with one months before it was released along with megs, honestly dont like megs, not gonna buy one, and OP and jetfire are still sealed in their boxes, though im itching to open jetfire, ill do it when i feel like it, on a rainy day or something when im not busy,,, Im a busy person, i honestly dont have time to play with all my toys, soooo sorrrrry....
also couldnt pause without turning off the camera, my battery was low, so that was not an option.
and I take plenty of photos for the photo gallery, if you want high definition looks, look at the pics... if you wanna see the transformation , watch the vid, otherwise please MYOB and dont tell me how I should be treating my toys and that its all business. If it was all business I would handle things a bit differently and I wouldn't have cabinets full of dog damn TFers would I? I started as a collector and I still am, that will never change. Ive collected toys for almost a decade now, just been on and off. I cant help it that people are scared to come here, why im the only foreigner here getting toys beats the hell out of me. Your free to come. I dont stop anyone.

| well i think a black backdrop would be ok if there was enough lighting, i think it was more the lack of lights that was the problem
turn off auto focus, ok ill try that next time
yes I know i used the baby crying while OP kicked off SP's head, but it was a tribute to a mod on another site, so just wanted to make sure it was seen
_Galvatron_:
Thanks for the review, General Zhao...I will be buying this.
Epic Starscream is epic.
But that black background made it hard to see, my friend.
Again, thanks for sharing this with us!

cyberstorm:
i still think the fallen shoulda been leader class :/ insted of starscream
Storm:
shame the hands don't rotate so they can look right when the elbow is bend
ersico:
GenZhao great review in my opinion, with the pics you took i got everthing i needed, size shape color and comparison to a toy we all know and love, prime. and i like you added the new voyager in there too. thanks bunches dragon:
he sounds like peaugh black background is hard to see i agree i would have liked to see close up on his face when he moves the cockpit to see his mouth movve Quote: |

| if he used the score from the soundtrack the video may have been taken down or delted for copyright infrigment didnt that happen to seanlong for music in his videos his account got suspended i think someone on youtube said it was second or third this happend to him becasuse of it
U.Magnus80:
Geez. Some people here need to lay off GZ. Regardless of anyhing off in the video. Thank you GenZao, for giving us peeks at toys that we're all very anxious to see, LONG before we're supposed to see them.
I for one can't wait to get this thing.
Vizer:
I didn't watch the actual transformation sequence (as nerdy as it is, I don't like having it "spoiled"), but that aside, it was a great review. Starscream looks great, and I can't wait to add him to my movie Decepticon collection.
b.winn1:
awsome toy it does make the voyager class starscream look FAB

I want an alt mode that isn't simply a robot doing yoga.
Optimus747:
Good review; looks pretty much as great as I'd imagined. I kind of wish there was a place to store that missile launcher in robot mode, but I guess I'll just keep it attached to his hand. Leader Starscream has taken the #1 spot for my most anticipated Transformer toy.
SoundMaster:
Looks awesome! The clip on missile launcher is my only disappointment, as I thought the hand would become the launcher.
Houndvoice:
Thanks for the review, it's good to see he's a bit easier to transform than some of the other Leaders.
Also, there looks to be room for some thrusters on the piece that folds up on his back together with the rudders Cheebs: Quote:

It is obvious that there are lighting problems and focus problems in the video. You don't need to tell GZ. I'm he already knows. But it is not the man's job to make videos for us. He gives it a go, gets it the best he can, posts it, and goes on with his day. He doesn't even have to do any of that. He could just skip right to going on with the rest of his day.
So, thanks for the effort, GZ.
Anybody else find it kind of funny that such an accurate representation of such an odd 'bot uses the ancient tried and true transformation step of folding the front of the jet down over the torso? The end results look a little different than the G2 Cyberjets. Pretty clever how the hip mechanism avoids the "jet wang" syndrome that usually comes with folded down jet noses.

SPLIT LIP:
Awesome looking figure. Very movie-accurate transformation.
MekaGojira3k:
