If you look at the pics you can see that the cab is reattached to Mixmaster

Yes, as it has been said literally thousands of times all over this and other fourms, in just about every thread ever mentioning the movie. the deluxes and voyagers do not combine.

I did look at the pics, it looked like there was more detachable pieces on the mini instruction sheet f_r showed in the video.

Thanks guys, I am sad to say that I am a bit disappointed in that the deluxe/voyagers don't combine. I have to agree with F_R's review that $100 is just too much to spend on this,

Granted I may have spent that much in getting Deluxes/Voyagers, but getting this, combiner class toy, is just not for me.

I still don't know about him. He's only being added to my collection if he's on massive clearance.

While I admit I didn't cover every thread (the thousands was it?) on this, the ones I did see were not specific one way or the other about it. But then again, I guess if the literally thousands of posts on this were pretty clear, i would haven't had to ask.

But in all honesty, I didn't see where my question deserved someone being a dueche to me in their response, yay you Valkysas.

yeah, sorry was eating dinner. apparently the video was too long for youtube. I'm running it through the awesome editing program known as moviemaker...getting the other half compressed and uploaded within the next hour (youtube takes forever to upload to)

Mixmaster's cab is supposed to go back on. I assume hasbro packages Devy with it detached (with Scavengers claw) to save packaging real estate ...those parts if perm-attached to his back, would make the box 5-6" deeper...

The 2 hinges under his face propel the enitre mixer barrel upwards and the face outwards and triggers the lights/sounds.

Is Mix's cab the only part you have to detach then reattach/partsform?

Ya know, if he happens to show up at Toys R Us before the end of August, you could accumulate the gift cards but not actually use them until you buy this guy. I might do that myself. Hopefully get him down to at least $60.

Just to be clear, I'm speaking of the hinges that are on the top sides of Devastators neck. The ones next to the areas where the two top flaps revealed. Does that lift up?

notrhing needs to get detached/reattached. the cab on the front of MM doesn't come assembled onto him to save packaging size a few inches. once it's on, it should stay on.

The hinge things above his head only reveal some mechanical details.

Glad you like it, but it still looks like an overtly simplistic disproportionate oversized FAB brick to me. I also can't understand how you can say that this thing is accurate to the movie (he only has the very basics in common), but oh well.

Yes, I hated him. But since his components have no individual root modes in the movie, I've grown to really like him.

I'm a little disappointed by the limited knee movement, and the fact that Hightower looks like something out of Bob the Builder, but I am really excited to get this guy. First time I have considered selling some figures to get the cash. And I know just who to sell...

ugh, thing still looks terrible. You'd think for $100 he'd actually have some decent paint apps. Can't wait to see some customizers paint this guy up, might actually make it look good

Nice first part of the review. Scavenger is a beast, he's probably my favorite part of the whole thing so far. Paint apps do suck and make all the components look very cheap overall. Looking forward to part two.

Definitely can't wait for the next part of the vid review.

It looks really cool and I want it, but I'm still not sure if I wanna get it for $100. They'd have sold me on it if there was more detailing and it was really REALLY big hehe

One last thing F_R, could you compare him to your custom Devastator from a while back?

I'd pay $50 for him. Tops. He's better than the pics show him, but turning him into the individuals is pointless since they just suck in vehicle mode, and otherwise he's just a giant talking robot replica.

Give me him, a TON of various black and metalic gray paints, and some weathering chalks, however, and I'll MAKE this guy worth $100 dollars AT LEAST.

(I also love the "Ultimate weapon" part of his bio, considering his fate in the movie)

Lastly, could you activate the Grinder Vortex and jam Deluxe Mudflap in there?

F_R, I can't express how extemely thankful I am for this review. He looks totally fun and would look awesome on my shelf.

But, I can't help but be a little pissed at doubling the price of a supreme. I really want to know Hasbros justification of that.

Can you please post a few pics of the individual vehicles next to their deluxe/voyager counterparts, a pic of Devastator from behind and as far as your custom ROTF Devastator; are you planning to just use the individual transforming deluxes and voyagers? Or a combination of them and the non transforming vehicles from this?

If you look at the 3rd pic it looks like they open up to form the grinder vortex.

It'll be for me when it's on clearance for $40.00. MAYBE if it had insance paint apps and more sound and lights in the other vehicles AND more articulated then MAYBE worth 100.00.

I will make a robot version of Devastator, but the desire's sizzled out. there's really no sense to it, I mean scale wise, I'm screwed, and principle wise, it wouldn't make sense. The whole constructicon/name/formation - none of it makes sense lol.

Yeah this thing will be a piece of crap that warms selves unless f_r finds a way to mass produce custom versions of it with actual paint and articulation
