By courtesy of anonymous poster at 2chan.net toy board, here's Buster Optimus Prime product images and some small review. it says:
Only front grill and roof cover are plated. most of other silvers are painted.
Color of blue parts are darker than normal ROTF OP.
No sound & voice are changed. eyes glow too.
Instruction has photo for easier operation.
New weapon - Ion Blaster - can hold, but don't fit well, to the left hand.
Energy Sword is yellowish orange with silver paint. looks gorgeous.
Last(7th) image is a small custom, BOP with normal OP head.
BOP's official street date is tomorrow(Nov. 21) in Japan. don't miss out!

I like the gun, but that's it. I find the use of silver and chrome a bit too much, tbh. The nice dark/medium gray of Hasbro's first release is much better, imo.

I'd buy this if it had the face-plate. Two years on, and I still don't like the mouth on Prime. It does look like a nice toy though.

This guy really is Masterpiece caliber, so I don't mind paying the Masterpiece-figure price. $100 for this figure w/ this level of detail, painting, chrome and engineering is a pretty good deal I think.
I cannot wait to have him in-hand. Simply awesome.

Looks good. They even came through with a nicer shade of blue.
The one thing I don't like is the open faceshield. Maybe it's accurate, but it doesn't look right. I still prefer the faceplate look. And by painting silver above his eyes, makes them look a funny shape. Just triangular slits.

Just wondering... Being that the bottom of his feet are chromed out what are the odds that'll get scratched up from casual use/transformation?
I'm flashing back to RiD Scourge and his trailer starting off gorgeous, but after being moved around on a table the sides showing scuff marks.

It's nice, however it looked nicer in the preview pics on BBTS and Tfsource then it does in real life. I am thinking my Hasbro Prime is just fine. If it doesn't sell out and I have some extra money I will get it.

Spectacular. Love the chrome grill and outlined flames.
While i don't care for the mouth face, it's nice that they did this representation of Prime: i'm fairly surprised though with the level of goodness on display that they didn't figure out some kind of "face swap" ala MP Starscream or Galaxy Convoy so you could have both... guess they had to save
something for the TF3 leader

Question, i was under the impression that he would have two guns, but only see one. Can someone confirm this? i'm pretty sure both of his smokestacks turn into guns.
Oh, and the extra flame pinstripe detail on his lower chest (vehicles firewall/bulkhead) is an awesome touch. it's little things like that that change the overall coolness and makes it better to me.

Buster Prime has always just had the one gun. Both smokestacks transform, but they combine together to form the one gun, instead of forming seperate guns like the Voyager class Prime mold.

I really want to do a part swap with Amazon OP and Buster OP. Swapping the grey on Amazon OP for the silver on Buster OP. I will end up with a regular-ish OP but also an ultimate black OP!! I can't decide whether this is genius or madness tho..

And to answer a previous question about the chrome on the feet, I have Premium TF1 Prime w/ the chromed grill/feet and I have had absolutely no problems w/ the chrome getting scratched or damaged. To be fair though, he mostly lives on a glass shelf inside a display case, so he isn't being put up to daily abuse or anything. The point is, the chrome on the feet looks mighty fine to me. I really truly hope they do a blinged out version of Prime for evrey movie. I love em.
EDIT: Oh and between Buster and Amazon Black Prime from the movie and Black MP Prime, the rest of this year is full of awesome Prime-ness but is definitely going to be expensive.

Possibly, but I'd imagine it wouldn't be without compromises. For example, a Prime with the remolded head and cannon, but without any of the metallic sheen on it or paint changes. Keep in mind that Takara can get away with embellishing because they have much smaller production runs and they're charging a lot more.
