| Premium Movie Optimus Prime and Megatron Out In Malaysia |

This is a good indication that they will be showing up at North American retail in the very near future. They were purchased at the Subang Square Shopping Complex in Selangor, Malaysia.

Yup I saw this too a few hours earlier at a different mall but not at your normal dept store. Saw it at a hobby shop. Dunno if its a Hasbro release though.

I chkd out toy-workers.blogspot.com, same ppl who scooped the sdcc classic nemy prime, that's their shop at subang square.
its not out in the wild yet tho. theyre a hobby shop that get stuff from the local distro so they just got a jump on brick n mortar who only recently stocked on jolt, big daddy wave.

All righty, so, you folks who have seen him in person.... how does the paint job look? Is he completely painted silver like the Best Buy Voyager Megs, or is he still dishwater-grey plastic with just some silver highlights? There seem to be photos that suggest both cases.

Thanks! | From what I can remember, the thighs are silver without the blue highlights.
One thing I noticed about the modded head, it seems like the antenna might stick out a bit when in truck mode because of its length. I say this because they sort of modded the part that covers the head as well to accomodate the antenna/ears.

Although I think there was some miscommunication, I was actually asking about Premium Leader Megatron, not Prime. It sounds like you're referring to Prime, no? Sorry, I was unclear in my initial post. Anyway, nonetheless, thanks for the response! 
Oh, and I believe you're right, earlier photos of Premium Prime did show "ear holes" in the top of his truck cab. It's a shame there wasn't a way around that, but I suppose most people display their figures in 'bot mode anyway.

i ve bought mine from the shop in Subang, Malaysia. The finish is grey, but its not like the picture, nor is it like the previous leader megs, nor the limited edition voyager class. its just different. will post a pic once i know how to... the other difference is, aside the color, is the advanced auto-bla-bla-bla sound. its exactly like the G1 transformation sound. i ve heard it, and am hearin it now.

The transforming sound on the Premium Series (both Optimus Prime & Megatron) is cool but I like the original Leader Optimus Prime head better. Wish there is some way I can exchange the sound machanism between the two (without damaging them of course). The energy sword fits the figure better then that so-called plasma cannon.(FYI...Premium Megatron is more grey than silver like the official pics but at least it looks tons better than "blue ice".)

Just now saw them at Jusco Penang, but decide not to get them. Except the head and sword, Prime looks no real differences. But Megatron is cool

OMG!! Megatron looks so cool in the premium version! I'm planning to get the Megatron but not Optimus because i really don't see much of a difference in it. =(   hutchprime:

Thanks for the info on Megatron's color, everyone. Looking at those photos, and reading people's descriptions, I think he's worth purchasing. While I still would have liked him to be burnished silver all over, like the BB Megs, this definitely looks better than the first release. The grey/silver plastic looks like more of a warm, bronzey grey, compared to the cooler grey of the original. I prefer this quite a lot, especially with the black, red and gold accents.
Looks like my first-release Leader Megs will be be sacrificed to eBay....
