Possible First Blurred Look at Movie Soundwave Toy

I'm going with fake. It looks like a kitbash using Megatrons body.

soundwave ...tut! tut!tut! soon!

Well, the head looks Soundwavy(blue with white mask and the general shape) and got a blue orb in his body.

Fake, why? There's no reason for the picture to be this blurry. It's clear this person has this figure in hand and that it's not leaked from a factory or something and taken with a cell phone. If a fan thought it was important enough to take a picture of it when they have it in hand, even if they don't have a camera, they'd borrow one to take a half decent photo.

It looks like a better Voyager Megatron to me, but it appears to be a new character. I still can't figure out the alternate mode. Very strange....

I don't know why anyone would be upset or anything about the design. It's pretty much what I expected, I mean we knew it wouldn't look anything like G1 soundwave, right?

However, coincidence or not, it looks ALOT like Cybertron Soundwave and I find that pretty cool considering he's one of the few Cybertron toys that I like.

This is just some blurry hype photos. No true info or news. But if this is Soundwave...from what I can tell, He looks like shit...just like the rest of the movie asthetic, with the exception of Optimus Prime.

He doesn't look very "realistic."

All of the TF from the first film were all grey and silver and black with colors only on the car armor, or they were dull military colors. I LOVED that. All that bright blue looks really bad on this guy. If he is a satellite I'd rather him be white and grey or some very spacey colors.

I think it might actually be sound wave it looks pretty simular to a concept design of SW that i'm sure you guys have seen already....

I've got no idea who the heck it is. Ha ha, but then I said pretty much the same thing when watching the first movie so some things never change.

Wow, I love how people say that the photos are too blurry to pass judgment, then they turn around and say they hate the figure and the design already.

If you took the greatest TF figure ever made and mistransformed it and took blurry photos of it with a five year old cell phone camera, it would turn out looking pretty crappy too. And if we know one thing about the movie toys, it's that sometimes they don't reflect the look of the on-screen TFs very well...

Yeah, not even half of the toys accurately represented any of the characters from the first movie. Leader prime was aweful... But on screen prime was

It isn't that blurry, we can see enough to judge it from the new pics. And the movie TF's have been fairly accurate. But who cares what the movie SW will look like here, most of us are just judging it as-is.

Wow, it looks cool, what or whoever it is.

I am alittle iffy on this one...ill have to see a clearer picture to make a judgement.

More new pics. Definitely legit, definitely Deluxe, (POSSIBLY a small voyager), almost certainly Soundwave based on what we know.

Ok, I just put one of the new pictures in Paint and reduced it 50% and it's a lot clearer. Looks pretty good, actually. I think it's a FAB.

either that or a kitbash. looks so much like parts of other figures.. hard to tell until there's a proper picture though!

I thought I read somewhere Hasbro said there would no Activators (the new FAB) line for ROTF?

did someone just stab at my eyes through the internet? definately ugly when blurry, probably uglier when clear pics will be added.

Activators aren't really FABs, they're more like Scouts.

But yeah, I don't know if it's a FAB or not (Remember when everyone thought Voyager Megs was a FAB?), but I'm sure it's real. It's almost definitely Soundwave in his Protoform mode, and if they are going to make a FAB Soundwave, I bet it'd be in his Earth form.

Either way, I'm a big Soundwave fan, so I'll be getting this no matter how they release it.

They did but Activators are much smaller than FABs and are designed to have springloaded Transformations so they're not really the same thing. At this point, there's really nothing to indicate Hasbro won't bring back FABs for the ROTF toyline.

That being said, I'm saying this is either a fan-made contraption or an FAB. Given the general mess of an "alt mode" it could be either/or but the latest pics seem more like an official figure to me. In other words, file this one under "wait and see."

I want high res pictures even if it's fake.
But like others, i'm having a hard time believing that someone with the money and influence to obtain what is the first non-legends class movie2 figure can't get a decent camera. I'm treating this as a hoax for now, but i would love it to be real.
Only complaint about that concept design earlier that pitched the possibility of him being a truck, is that he looks to much like barricade in bot mode.

I thought the Activators line was created to bring the FAB concept one step further (FAB were also autotransforming to a certain degree) and at a more afforfable price point to not complete with the deluxe class. Also, it appears to be much bigger and articulated than say, FAB Megatron. Pretty sure it's a Voyager.

WTF? It's like a pic of Nessy. Blurry and totaly unintelligible. If someone is going to take a picture, why does it have to be such horrible quality?

Looking at it closely, it looks like someone combined the bodies of leader Megatron (note the feet) and Starscream (arms/shoulders) with the head of leader Prime, and added a bunch of other kibble to it.

Until I see a CLEAR picture of it, I'm not convinced it's even a real toy.

Looking at it more, I don't think it's a FAB figure. I was certainly wrong on my size guess, it looks Deluxe for sure. Not that that means something - Blackout was supposedly Voyager, certainly Voyager priced, but tooohooohooootally a Deluxe sized robot. I'm say with a bit of certainty now that it's likely the 'sattellite' form (aka Soundwave's brand of Protoform).

One sure way for Hasbro to collect my cash on this one is simply have Welker voice him in the film. I wasn't all about Prime, still a bit bummed they never made a figure sans faceplate (I prefer the faceplate in older incarnations - preferred the full face for Cullen's new Prime), but I bought the Robo-vision Prime anyway as I felt I needed an addition to the collection to represent in figure form the return of a voice-acting legend from Transformers.

Doesn't matter what character it is, how it looks, etc; If Welker voices it, I'll buy.

i didn't find the FAB's or the Activatotrs appealing or fun in the least bit to be honest, now the voyager brawl I thought was the best out of the line.

He certainly couldn't have meant deluxe Brawl, as that figure sucked.

I guess this "Soundwave" toy is a voyager--looks about the same size as voyager Megatron, if that thing is a pack of cigarettes. What evidence do we have, by the way, that this is Soundwave and not some other guy? I mean, I honestly cannot see a "satellite" in that mess. I've heard the suggestion that it's a Cybertronian form Soundwave, but again the problem arises of determining one Cybertronian protoform from another (Optimus vs. Starscream last time was pretty tricky).
