Just like we thought, Breakaway is Classics Getaway, Fracture is Classics Crasher, and Crankcase is... Classics Crankcase.
Love seeing the Classics line getting bolstered with characters from later years of G1. Oh, and a Go-Bot.
Chris
Fort Max:
Crap, Fracture is just gorgeous. I never buy repaints but I really want that, may have to sneak it in somewhere.
Also, can us non US folk have some mirrored picture love please? Railguard:
I dunno with all the new universe stuff coming out this august, I don't think I will be buying any of these. I wish they would just release the universe toys already and stop releasing this other stuff...and I'm not saying these aren't cool looking cause they are, I just really want the universe stuff.
Thundershot:
Um... they ARE Universe stuff. Universe can't function 100% on new molds. Gotta buy the ones you want, is all I can say.
Takara_destron:
I want Fracture!!
It being a Walmart exclusive might prove things difficult though. I know I could get it online, but is there anywhere in the UK that has had Walmart exclusives in the past?
knook:
I'm in the U.K and can see the pics fine
Fit For natalie: Decepticon Fracture
Dedicated to MEGATRON and the DECEPTICON cause, DECEPTICON FRACTURE is a dangerous enemy. She is totally fearless, and probably a little bit crazy, as she dives directly into any battle, regardless of the odds. Although she carries a powerful negative energy blaster, she prefers to use the seismic energy dischargers on her feet to smash the surrounding earth to pieces. Any battlefield on which she walks shudders with the force of her steps.
DECEPTICON FRACTURE was inspired by the female Gobot Crasher, but the name was changed to DECEPTICON FRACTURE when Crasher was unavailable for use. This deco scheme was one of several ideas for the Classic Series MIRAGE mold, and emerged as the most popular with the team. Her vehicle mode deco is based on a real Russian F1 race car color scheme. http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/...acture_veh.jpg http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/...ture_robot.jpg Breakaway
Escape-artist extraordinaire BREAKAWAY has never been held in captivity for more than a few hours. Even then, most of the times he's been captured have only been because he let it happen, so he could get inside a DECEPTICON base and blow it up. Every one of his joints is double, and secret compartments cover his body, hiding dozens of tools for use in escaping from any cell. He's as slippery as a Neutronian grease eel, and clever as a turbofox. DECEPTICON bounty hunters across the galaxy have an almost supernatural regard for his skill.
BREAKAWAY is based on the G1 Powermaster AUTOBOT escape artist Getaway. The name Getaway was unavailable, so the similar sounding Breakaway (which was already registered by Hasbro) was used instead http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/...etaway_veh.jpg http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/...away_Robot.jpg Crankcase
CRANKCASE doesn't really care about MEGATRON; he just joined the DECEPTICONS because he was in a bad mood, and it's pretty much lasted. As far as he's concerned, everything is pointless and stupid. He sees no reason why anyone else should be enjoying things when he's so miserable. That's why he spends his time grumpily ruining things for AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS alike. He's not much of a warrior, so he specializes in just being inconvenient. His blaster arm causes metal to rust instantly.
CRANKCASE is based on the G1 Decepticon Triggercon of the same name. His flip out weaponry is extremely similar to the original toy, so using the TRANSFORMERS: CYBERTRON RED ALERT mold worked well. In his original expanded biography, CRANKCASE was once a janitor for fuel spills, so the design team decided to make his vehicle mode a car for a hazardous materials team. http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/...nkcase_veh.jpg http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/...case_Robot.jpg WhiteMocha: Quote:

But really, who cares? They don't fit aesthetically with the Movie line, so I'll be folding them into Classics/Universe anyway just like I (and I'm sure many others) did with the last round of Walmart deluxes.
EDIT: Oh, and for what it's worth, these all look great. I never thought about the "Triggercon" aspect of the Red Alert mold, but that's a great little bonus.
madman1366:
Breakaway makes me want that Hotshot mold (which I only ever thought was so-so) more than ever.
I'll just call her Crasher, because I've had Mirage pegged as a cool idea for Crasher from the start. It's nice to see the nod for Go-Bots in there!
Crankcase looks beautiful as well.
All winners in my book! Although, being Walmart exclusives isn't a good thing. Blink and they're gone...that is, if they ever show up in the first place.
e3nine:
Dear Hasbro,
I O U $30.

Awesome. Getaway was the only original G1 Transformer I ever owned, and I love the Cyb Hot Shot mould to peices.
Mirage's mould is fantastic and a Go-bots homage is too good to pass up.
Crankcase does not intrest me.
bfarneth:
DAMMIT! And I promised myself I would buy no more repaints!!!
Ktulu:
I'm so in love with the Mirage mold so Fracture will definitely be bought. I'll also get Breakaway. Crankcase though, eh, not sure
Darkspeed:
Damn it, more nice repaints! Why do they have to keep releasing stuff I want but can't afford?
Well, if anything I'll be buying Crankcase... Love how they've done the redeco, the blue with yellow lights is very nice! Always found the Red Alert mold nice and chunky, but missed out on buying it here.
Fracture is very tempting, especially since I own Mirage already and know he's a great figure... But could I justify owning two of the same mold, just for a different colour sceme (Which is awesome)?
And Breakaway... Meh, never liked any of the Hot Shot molds, so I'll avoid that one. Least that's a few quid saved.
Grimlock_13:
I will be buying all three. Mirage is one of the best Deluxe molds of all time, and the bio and totally obsure GoBots homage is awesome. Plus the name Fracture is badass to boot. I dig Breakaway's color scheme, and I like the mold well enough to buy it again. Crankcase is the weakest of the three, but IMO it's an underrated mold. I just have to figure out which generation to display them with...
Noisemaze:
I love Fracture, don't care about the other 2.
I'm really getting tired of dealing with these stores & their ***CONSTANT*** exclusives! I just got the last set of Wal-Mart exclusives, I really don't feel like going at it again. This is really getting old.
defstar:
Too many other great TF figures coming out...pass for me...
Orion P:
i'll probably pick up the mirage repaint, leave the rest alone.

Skywave:
Go-Bots homage? How cool is that! I'll sure take that Thundershot: Quote:

.... THE HELL?? How did I NOT notice this over the weekend? I just naturally assumed they'd be part of the Universe line... you know, being older characters and all. That, and I figured that by September, the movie figures would be done with Animated and Unvierse taking over...
Chris
Deceptichage:
So it looks like the Movie line will continue a little longer. These repaints are nice! Definitely going to pick up all three if I can find them.
saberconvoy:
I have go to get fracture but to bad the my walmart dont got slag when i go. Noisemaze: Quote:

nkelsch:
Well think of it. You can make almost the whole go-bots crew without changing a thing:
Leader 1 = Movie Dreadwing
Scooter = Cybertron Ransack
Turbo = Movie Swindle
Cy-Kill = Cybertron Lugnutz
Coptur = FAB Blackout
Mod some heads, Maybe Dye Blackout blue and you have the main 6 characters with almost no repainting.
wheeljack01:
Fracture=mine!
Grimwing:
Yeah I like it. I did'nt notice the haz-mat stickers on crankcase. That's twisted.
Yeah I like the decos. Breakaway has the best bio though "more clever than a turbofox."
hasbro's staff are really good at what they do. And their on fire with some of the best repaints ever this season. I'd shake their hands if they weren't covered in wet paint. Cataclizm1:
OK my WM never got the Big Daddy wave so I'm gonna ask now. I need someone to get me a FRACTURE when it comes out!
docbenspock:
fracture looks hot, the others just more of the same.
butz:
Ah, Getaway! I new Breakaway looked like somebody I had seen before. Him and Crankcase are must-buys (loves me some later-G1 characters!). I want Fracture, but not sure where to put her, what with essentially being a Go-bot and all.

Mine did, guess what though? only one set. 4 figures. I don't think their ordering any more. They only stocked exactly as many as I needed. Had to be there in the morning right when they were shelved to!
Hopefully the next set will be less shortpacked. Then again I'm having trouble believing the movie line is going to last through september on just these 3 wal mart exclusives and the premium/allspark remnants.
ZeroMayhem:
Fracture looks sweet. I too love the classics Mirage mold and these new colors look great on it.
Breakaway, man, I like that HotShot mold ok. Bought the first version, never had any interest in the repaints, but I LOVE G1 Getaway and his colors just look so damn awesome here that they can even elevate an ok mold into my must buy category. Sold!

Fracture is as good as bought, no question there. Hopefully with a Big Daddy to go up against once I have the opportunity to re-buy one. At the very least, she is guaranteed a place of honor in my Classic Decepticons alongside Classic Ramjet, and Henkei Astrotrain, plus Acid Rain and the others as they're released.
Not sure about Crankcase (lots of people seem iffy with him). Breakaway is very, very tempting, and one of the best uses of the Cybertron Hot Shot molds in some time.
Quickswitch:
O_O! I really do like all the design team notes we've been getting with the repaints; its cool to see exactly what they were thinking.
Fracture: LOL, this one is just frickin' awesome. I watched Go-Bots/had the toys as a kid, so seeing one of them remade as a transformer is very cool. The colors are jut about the same as the old toy, just I think Crasher had more black. Totally getting this one.
Breakaway: Nice repaint/Getaway homage. I need to see if Getaway's old gun can fit in Breakaway's hands- if it can, then I'll buy this one too.
Crankcase: Had this mold as Red Alert, & re-using it as a triggercon was a real cool idea. I may buy this one too, if only to bolster my Classics Decepticon troops. I find it funny that not many people want this Crankcase & the same can probably be said for the Gen 1 version.
Reprolabels TOTALLY needs to make upgrade sticker sheets for these toys. If that happens, I'll REALLY have to buy 'em all.

Eric:
Fracture is HOT. Definitely gettin' her.
RodimusZero:
WHEEE!!!! I've been WAITING for some Masterforce homage! I already own two of that mold, but what the hell, I'm getting me a GETAWAY (LIGHTFOOT for me)!!! Razerwire:
Fracture is simply awesome. Love the homage to Crasher.
I'm seriously considering picking up the other two as well.
Now if my Wal*Marts would actually STOCK these. I STILL have yet to see the first four. flywheels:
It really sucks that they couldn't use the names Crasher and Getaway...but that won't stop me from buying those 3 once they hit retail.
Dirge121:
I never picked up the deluxe Red Alert mold, so I'll likely be grabbing Crankcase if he makes it to the UK.

Fracture is sweet. I hope they do a Leader-1 from the Starscream mold, oh and a Turbo would be awesome, not sure what base fig to use though cuz Hot Shot and Hot Rod have red cars from their molds already... hmmm

We have had very, very few US store exclusives released here, I have no expectations of seeing Big Daddy's wave or these over here at all.
If you want it then either get it of a board member or the last resort, ebay.
I just brought a Big Daddy today for just under £15 shipped to the UK so they're not impossible expensive to get.
SMOG:
I love the concepts for all 3 of these... and I like all 3 of these molds.
Unfortunately, based on the pics we've seen, I don't think any of them are all that attractive in the decos that have been chosen. Fracture is okay.... Crankcase is pretty dull, and I think Breakaway just looks fugly... I think it's the choice of colours against that stark white that hurts it.
Maybe it's just a bit of bias on my part, but Transformers with yellow and pink faces (especially in cases where that colour appears nowhere else on their bodies) just look wrong. Better to keep to more neutral tones.

UTK007:
I bought a MISB Go-Bots Crasher at Botcon 2007 because I wanted to add that character to my Transformers Universe after seeing her in the Megatron Origin comic book. This is truely awesome. I will be buying 2 of her just like I did with Big Daddy. One to open and play with and another to keep sealed.
Runamuck:
Only thing I don't like about these, is the September release date. It's such a long time to wait.
