I think he was a bit darker, kind of between Blackout (movie render) and Grindor (toy) colors.

I agree too. I'm utterly disappointed at the Voyager Long Haul. Solely because he isn't as buff as he should be like in the movie, which FAB has done reasonably well. Also, I've seen Peaugh's video review on this dude and I don't like how the big "shoulder wheels" are positioned. So he's a big no no for me.
Grindor is superb here, and I might get him

Long Haul somehow manages to be less accurate to the concept art and CGI model than a freakin' FAB and Grindor is too small. An easy pass on both.

The Grinder/Blackout mold is easily the best TF helecopter ever made but he's just too small for the rest of the line. If there was one figure that I would have loved to see Leader size or bigger, it's Grinder or Blackout.

Grindor's whole existence is to be a straight repaint of Blackout without a remolded head. That way they can cheaply produce repaints of Blackout (like the FAB and Legends toy) without having to remold the head for each of them or have any with inaccurate heads (since no FAB or Legends toy has ever had a remolded head and is unlikely to start any time soon).

they also onceshowed a picture of him in alt mode-makes him look too tiny. so getting both if my wallet allows.

I think Cybertron Evac is a better helicopter, frankly. The Blackout toy is too fiddly - that whole unplugging the top section, moving it, and replugging it is less than elegant. Long Haul is definitely not beefy enough and his wheels sit too high, but I'm a sucker so I'll be hunting for him anyway.
Also, I don't think wave 4 is JUST Strasosphere - I think it's packed with 3 wave 1&2 toys.

Yes Stratosphere is packed with Prime, Starscream and I believe Ironhide.
As for best helicopter mold, that's G1 blades all the way

Well Long Haul is a must buy for me. I already have premium Blackout so picking up Grindor is a real test of my principle of buying all onscreen characters

There's so much detail you just don't see because of all the single color plastic they used. Not to mention the use of WRONG colored plastic. (talkin' bout you, Jetfire) Long Haul is no exception. He'll look awesome with a little paint. He's on my radar.

Definitely will be getting Long Haul. I really like the constructicon molds, but as many have stated the colors are lacking. I think I take up painting my figures like others have talked about. (If I ever can find the time)

I really don't like how Hasbro is packaging some toys in robot mode. I hope this isn't a new trend. We have Demolishor & Mixmaster in vehicle mode & now Long Haul in robot mode. They're not going to look good displayed next to each other like that.

After a few extra metallic paint apps on my Skids deluxe, he looked wayyy better. He was just too...damn...green.

Probably depends on a couple factors:
- which mode fits better in the standard-size package?
- does the alternate mode look dull or small or "what is that supposed to be?" when seen in package?

Long Haul, as awkward as this voyager mold looks, also is an instant buy. He'll be my first of the Constructicons. His personality in the video game really sold me to him as well as Grindor's.

I just picked up a voyager longhaul on ebay for 32.00 shipped loose. perfect for me... I am working on a custom g1 colored devastator from the movie made up of the voyager and deluxes.. I will have to wait until the others are released to finalize my plans.
