Buster Optimus Prime is described as having lights and sounds, and mech-alive gimmicks. It is also listed for 8,190 yen with a discounted price of 7,371 yen(which is the cost of the leader class figures). Could this be a retooled version of the leader class figure with blasters, as shown in the beginning of the movie and video game? Or could it in fact be, a set of all new voyager class, Optimus Prime and Jetfire figures which can combine?

This makes sense though, there's been two Voyager Primes listed in Walmart computers for a while now. Encore Skids is interesting. Not surprising as others have said. Other than Sideswipe, sadly there aren't really any other G1 characters that could get an Encore release piggybacking the film, since the Constructicon molds are presumed lost/destroyed and Jetfire's another issue.

Another Skids? Luckily I recently traded a loose Binaltech Hound for a TRU Skids MISB. No need for another one at the moment.
Why is it they always release the same crap over and over again? Not saying Skids is crap, it's just that they should focus on MIRAGE, SUNSTREAKER and WHEELJACK! Screw all the other G1's for now

This thing costs more than regular Leader Prime. Either it's an overpriced Leader redeco, a Leader redeco with new accessories, or something else entirely.

Only interested in the Encores but already have TFC Skids, still I'll do my bit and support the line in the hope it keeps going. Good job he's a little (cheap) guy.
Good point made by some that he's probably been released to piggyback the film's character. Hopefully we'll get some more info on who else may be to follow when Bruticus and Big Mission 2 hit fairly soon.

Considering Takaratomy has reissued and repainted the hell out of all the other cassette molds (excluding Overkill, the combiners, the dino cassettes, and the Frenzumbley mold) especially the popular ones.
Buster Prime IS more expensive than a Leader, but based on the price range I wouldn't count on a Leader 2-pack (that'd just be a ridiculous amount of savings). I'm opting with some sort of combining Voyager 2-pack.

- Prime wields the blasters in the movie(beginning) and game
- Each leader figure was repainted(and Prime retooled) at least once during the last movie line

| The translated listing mentions a combining feature so it's nothing as dull as just having new weapons.

It's not unheard of for toolings to disappear in China, especially ones that haven't been used since 1991, and it's just as probable that the ones Haskara have are busted and it's not cost-effective for them to repair them to create new ones.
And yeah, they're releasing Skids because there's a ROTF Skids, just like back when Encore started, they based the reissues around the movie characters. Quote:
