Hasbro has altered packaging and part of the included items for their Transformers RPM Remote Control line. The remote control Bumblebee is now shipping in a new, longer package that features the vehicle angeled almost horizontal next to the remote control. The remote control is redesigned, no longer featuring molded robot mode bits but rather just an image of the character in the middle of the remote. The Bumblebee vehicle is slightly changed as well, with the Autobot insignia on the hood removed in favor of a small N.E.S.T logo on the side of the vehicle.

The bottom and back of the packaging all reveals our first look at the upcoming RPM remote control Barricade, which the box confirms as coming in Spring 2010!

NIBMRatchet:
Love the Remote
Batman:
How well do these guys handle? I might consider picking up Barricade for my dog to chase at the park if they have enough power to drive through grass.
Ceerad:
I love that they are getting so much mileage out of Barricade.
justamaze:
Barricade is nice. Are these worth the 30 dollars? Do they turn well and are they fast? Any mods from you RADICONS out there?
CrotchKnockerX:
anyone notice how the front of BB/Camaro is starting to like a Pontiac Firebird T/A, the sister car of the Camaro? umm
Jason Blue Boost:
I have the first version and its fast and turns well. It can do donuts on my tile floor. My 1 1/2 old son loves it. I wonder if this version has different sound effects.

(Though I'll admit, that's a bit of an odd spelling. When the show first premiered a few years ago, I thought it was Weston. But it's neither O nor I, it's an E.)

Season finale tonight!

As for Bumblebee, that seems to have some different paint aps compared to the original. The hood stripes look different, and I think the trunk stripes are different too.

Okay, so I just compared these at two different stores (without buying them) and I'd hardly say that "the Bumblebee vehicle is slightly changed". The new version is HUGE compared to last year's original release. It looks significantly larger.

This is a completely different toy. I wouldn't suppose that anyone actually bought both and has some nice side-by-side pictures?
