New Revenge Buster Optimus Prime Image

Now when movie 3 comes out.........

It will be an even more accurate Leader Prime that will have, both swords, both guns, and a retractable face plate.

Then another version will come out down the line that has both scythes included.

Bought. I mean that is a good idea and rather than just oin for an additional gun, they've "gun" (I know not funny) and added a new head too. Great job TAKARA. Also, I recall people complaining about Prime's face without the mouthplate. So, people like it a lot more now?

I'll own it if it happens to be sold here somehow but I'm not doing anymore online purchases I just can't afford it at this point.

I just completed a spreadsheet of all my Transformers and of course I had more of Optimus Prime than anybot else, but as much as I would love to add 1 more I think I'll have to wait for TF3 or a really, really good sale. ROTF had taken almost all my money!! But he's nice to look at.!!

honestly...that buster prime is kind of a letdown,cause its just leader prime with a mouth,two guns and some junk on his back,so unless someone sell's the gun's then this guy is an ultimate pass for me.

Multiple repaints of this mold were inevitable from the very start.

That's not a compliant, Hasbro known very well that it came out almost perfect, so of course they're going to squeeze it for as much cash as possible.

A year from now, at lot of us will be sick of the mold.

I was tempted to get one for my Prime shelf, but they lost me when they said that it had a mouth. I HATE PRIME WITH A MOUTH!

I'd like to see the ultimate Masterpiece version.

Retractable faceplate, dual swords, dual guns, dual scythes, and a thinner torso because the battery compartment will have been removed. (Hey, a guy can dream, right?)

Finally a good mold of movie Prime with the face/mouth! Excellent.
The gun looks nice too, I could see myself picking this one up.

TakaraTomy sure won't release a toy with parts from a third party custom company...

i dont mind having 2 of this mold. and movie prime with mouth is a big YES!

This toy almost had me going. The gas tank gun is a straight upgrade on the fist, and I do like the mouth, but I'd need the faceplate to be retractable for me to actually bite; I know he doesn't use it that much, but I always prefer to display Prime with the classic faceplate look, even on the Animated toy.

It's a pretty cool upgrade, though.

The gun is awesome, and I'm glad we're getting a non-faceplate headsculpt; that should look great painted up.

Shame it's not being touted as a"perfect editon", with proper paint apps and both versions of the head; that would make it very tempting.

Very tempting, but since when I get Prime (and Jetfire) I'll be displaying them combined I need to faceplate for accuracy's sake. We'll see.

I might bite, I haven't got movie prime yet because of lack on money and UK stock hasbeen neutered so that he only says "Optimus Prime" like Matt Damon in Team America rather than a coherent sentence.

Pretty sweet..I love the ROTF Prime mold, and I was hoping for a movie Prime toy with a face..seems I'm getting exactly what I wanted. The best movie mold, with the coolest face, added guns AND a possibility of a better paintjob. Yessss.

hope he has some battle damaged paint.

If it has some improved paint apps then I could be persuaded to pay out for an import but if it's just the new head & gun then I'll still be without a movie Prime in my collection.

WTF? Optimus in battle mode and the mouth is exposed?!!!! They are really sucking fanboys into being broke buy buying multiple version of LC ROTF Optimus Prime. I'm betting the next one will be the one with JETFIRE PARTS which you can snap-on just like the movie and next will be the one with the parachute, next will be battle damage with missing tooth and then we get premiums by Hasbro and then premiums by Takara with Chrome parts and then theres nightwatch Optimus and then Ultra Magnus version of this mold and then lucky draw version in gold and then fans will just keep on spending and spending. LETS BUY ALL AND HELP THE ECONOMY!

This makes me glad I held off on ROTF Leader Prime! Although I just saw at Denden town today a Leader Prime combined with Jetfire in the display case, though it wasn't for sale...maybe it was a custom? In any case, I'll get this new Leader Prime instead.

Really good idea. But that new head is angering me. Would bite on a hasbro version that lacked the mouth mold.

It is nice to see more retools done instead of straight repaints for future toys.

Great Post. The only problem I have with that many repaints is that only collectors buy them. Normal people only will by the one version they can find.

You forgot movie Leader Nemesis Prime. Black, Grey, Teal, with Red Windows. How Awesome would that be?

All Prime toys have got the faceplate, I am only happy that there is finally one coming without one.

If you don't like the face, you could also try to find the buster add-on later on in the aftermarket, or maybe buy the FP Gear Of War 2 set, which supposedly will feature a similar gun? That way you will get a plated Prime WITH all the added coolness.

I laugh at folks who bought Leader Prime without even so much as thinking a better/upgraded version wouldn't come down the road and are now sorely disappointed it's happened at last.

Didn't the first movie line teach you people ANYTHING? Frankly I'm not putting money down on a Prime until the NEXT movie's toys hit the shelves. Why? ROTF Prime is leaps and bounds better than one for the first movie. I'll bet my bottom dollar the one for the third movie will be even better yet. And when that rolls around, I wouldn't have a chance in hell of getting rid of my ROTF Prime and make back what I paid for it. And even if I'm wrong, these toys are produced in such staggering amounts that ROTF Prime won't be hard to find down the road at all, I'm sure.

..That said, Buster Prime looks kinda neat. I'm sure it'll make its way over to us eventually. What I REALLY want to see is a Prime with Jetfire's armor/parts that's more accurate to what we saw on the big screen.

Wow, that was quick with the repaints/redecos. I'm still working on the first wave people! A little love for the wallet please! But still, we all know what is going to happen, we are all going to bit even if the whole Jetfire combiner happens or not... crap...

I wonder if it's worth waiting to see what they do with Jetfire (if anything) since Prime at least had this thing in the movie but Jetfire didn't have any weapons or equipment or anything.

I think the guns are cool, same with the mouth, but i dunno if ill bite, but if they go with the animated prime route and give it a retractable faceplate....

Nothing new except for the guns that is transformed from his gas tanks (cool concept, but not movie accurate) and the new head sculpt without the battle mask. Not interested. Still pretty much prefer my first ROTF Leader Prime..

It's not accurate? I remember the scene in TF1 in the city where Prime reaches for his right gas tank on the back, and it transforms into his gun which he uses to shoot Megatron.

Although to work as a toy it needs some more parts, I'd say it's still pretty accurate.

Hmmm, not sure I'll bite. I wouldn't be against receiving one as a gift or something but I doubt he'd be one I'd go looking for. If he'd had more accurate Jetfire bits then there would've been an instant buy.

I don't know about that. Any retool Hasbro comes out with still has to be within budget for them. Premium 2007 Prime may have had better paint apps but I bet his sword probably cost a little less to produce than Regular 2007 Prime's gun.

Takara can get away with adding more things because their production runs are so much smaller (and they charge a hell of a lot more). I wouldn't expect to see Buster Prime in the US without some parts of it getting budgeted out.
