Better Pic Uploaded!
Just wanted to help clear things up for everyone. The Buster Optimus is the same leader mold, just with new parts on his back. Those parts combine to make a gun he can hold(or attaches), like in the movie. Also, he has a new head, "Open Face" they call it, with a mouth.

So, is this a new version of the ROTF Leader Prime? Is it going to be sold through/by Hasbro down the road, or is it a Takara thing, or is this just another upgrade kit? It is pretty damn cool how they made the gas tanks/part of the exhaust pipes become his guns.

Looks like it is just one gun. The two gas tanks combine into the one. Guess Ill be getting the Gear of War one also. Oh well, this looks pretty awesome, and I do not mind getting 2 leader class Primes, he is an awesome toy and I was probally going to go it anyways.

Assuming the mouth is just a cosmetic change, it's a simple matter of unscrewing the head.

Well, looks like I will be owning two Leader Primes. I migt just part swap to have on "Ultimate" Prime, and one to keep in truck mode.
Pretty cool, and hope that Hasbro does intend to release it.

But I thought he's gonna cost more than the regular release? They should give him nicer paint apps as well to justify it

The Takara version, yes. But I doubt Hasbro would add another price point just for this Prime.

I don't know. It's a Takara product (no sign of a US match yet). They love to put chrome on stuff, and this very clearly is not the finished store ready product yet.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it has chrome. If it has chrome and better paint aps, it's absolutely bought!!!
