New Images of Suspected Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave Toy SW1
A poster at HK-TF has posted images of the supposed Cybertron Mode Soundwave figure for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie toyline. The images were photoshopped to hide some details. However, TFW2005 Veteran Joe Moore has lightend and enlarged the images using a photo editor. The changes made by Joe provide a better view of the details on the figure. To view the photoshopped versions by Joe Moore, click on the image to the left.

Scourge_151:
So it's a jet-satellite looking thing?
Orion_Prime48:
well those are "better" too bad there both all blue and shows basically no detail at all
dorfsquest:
Alt mode reminds me of Vector Prime.
Red Snarl:
That jet/satellite mode looks like vector prime.
Overall it looks cool sofar.
Icespark:
I'm not really certain what to think of this. He still seems to be a $20 figure. Also, is it just me, or does he really looks like Vector Prime in vehicle mode? I will say that I really don't like the fact that his head is, like the first movie Megatron, sticking out of the vehicle mode in plain sight. He looks like he'll be a nice figure. Hopefully more photos will soon appear.
Draven:
I like what I see so far.
Joe Moore:
I lightened them and enlarged for your viewing pleasure.
rizuan76:
So far so good. not too shabby.

But it's somewhat a bit Vector prime-ish in appearance tho (when in alternate mode).
ams:
Getting a Tigerhawk vibe from the bot mode... which is a good thing, to me.
Master Fwiffo:
Why the HELL did he photoshop the head? What's wrong with him? Damnit. Is there a magical forcefield around this toy that prevents people from taking normal pictures?
0R10N P4X:
"BIONICLE!!!"

Omega Charge:
Looks nice.

That seems be be a trend in Cybertronian alt modes. And in a way, it makes sense. If a robots eyes are it's main source of visual information, why would it want to hide it in it's natural form?

Doesn't mean I like it, but at least it's explainable

Anyone one here think his alt mode looks kinda like Vector Prime's?
Silent_Magnus:
Definitely looks more like a ship than a satellite.
Takara_destron:
VERY Vector Prime-y alt mode, which isnt a bad thing in my books. I like what I see.
Julliant:
Is it me or did the previous pictures show him with longer (better proportioned) legs? I hope his legs are mistransformed, while overall he's great, I don't want another gorillaformer.
eriku:
I predict that I will buy this toy out of misguided excitement over the character and then realize a couple of weeks later that I made a mistake and don't like the design at all. At least that's what happened with the toys I bought from the first film.

Snarkiness aside, I like that he has regular hands. His legs look a little squat, and the resemblance to Vector Prime/Sith Infiltrator is a bit of a head-scratcher. Actually I'm surprised nobody else has pointed out the resemblance to Vector Prime.
ORIO:
Yeah, Totally Vector Primeish
Baccala1976:
YAY FOR VECTOR PRIME!

On a side note, How are the cassettes supposed to pop out of him?

Either that, or it looks something like Soundwave's alt-mode from Cybertron. I can't quite tell...
Lance Halberd:
Yep, that's a the most bionicled kitbash I've ever seen!
Baird:
Not liking that..
General Tekno:
Great to see I'm not the only person who thought "Vector Prime" when seeing that altmode.

What's to say? I love it.

You have no idea how you make my day, i really needed a good laugh. Thanks. ^^
Er....i'm still laughing Anyway, looks good. the head does resemble G1 Soundwave or at least it looks like it. Bot mode its a bit strange but then again all movie toys are. ^^ Cool alt.mode, just like everyone else said: similar to Vector Prime. ^^
iheartarcee:
God dammit you can see his head in alt mode
Bumblejazz:
Looks good to me.

No you can't. Well, I mean, you can if you turn him upside down maybe, but not in either of those pics.
y2jversion1:
Geez... looks more like the love-child of Bayformers Megatron and Vector Prime. Also, tranformation looks like a stand-up-former. From these pics, nothing impressive at all.

I don't know, I mean, I can see where you could get that impression, but he still looks way too much like Vector Prime for me to see it any other way.
NIDARAM12:
I hope the wrists turn and it doesn't have retard Flame Convoy elbows.
Ra88:
The thing in altmode isn't his head. The other pics may have been blurry as hell, but we could ALWAYS identifity a mostly blue head with a grey mouthplate, and recently in the latest couple of pics red eyes/visor as well. Oh, and the shapes between the altmode "head" and the robot mode head are different, as well.

And yeah, the legs looked longer in the previous pics...I really hope that they will be, because then he'll have a tall and menacing form. At least they got rid of the massive gut from the concept art...

Oh, one more thign I noticed: Didn't he have two extra circles on his torso in the other pics? What happened to those?
Mister Gone:
That's totally just Optimus Prime's head on a FAB Megatron Body!
G1Wheeljack:
Looks very cool, like the Vector Prime-esque alt mode.
ActionMasterZod:
Oh man, OH MAN.
Loving this figure!

Looks like some gray plastic piece folds over and partially covers it. Agreed about legs. About had it with gorilla proportions.
Socialvegetable:
Interesting...It doesn't really jive with the satellite alt-mode we've been hearing about (unless that's actually his earth mode since this looks like a cybertronian jet ala Megatron). I guess if he is a satellite, he could always be a terrestrial satellite dish/installation, or a mobile satellite platform, which would make the most sense IMO. It does, however, clearly have those blue orb decorations that the supposed concept art had, and it is blue, so I'd believe it's actually Soundwave.

I like the direction the new bot's styles seem to be going in. So far this and Sideswipe's designs (from what we've seen) show a nice, stylized evolution from the 1st movie's designs, and I'm liking it so far.

I could see this figure being used as a potential "preview" toy like the protofroms for the first movie. That way, there'd still be plenty of room for an earth-mode Soundwave in the main line, and I think his character's got enough name recognition that he'd drum up excitement early on. The first movie line wasn't shy about multiple toys for each character, though, so we'll definitely see different versions either way.
big hank:
Megatron kicks himself when he sees this Cyber-jet mode! No wonder he's a tank now! I do like!
tusko:
Needs for hinges, spikes and heads in alt mode.
Starscreamer95:
I think he`s Cybertron mode is the jet, and when he comes to Earth, he scans the satalite.
Knightshadow:
Reminds me a lil like Vector Prime from Cybertron in vehicle mode.
Beastbot X:
Sweet hotness.
megatronkicksas:
I'm telling you guys its megs.
asphalt:
or possibly movie vector prime. not at all really tf like but not a bad tforming robot.

That was the first thing i thought as well, Tigerhawk bot mode and Vector Alt mode.. He is cool. not great but cool ..
Rumble02:
very cool
Soundwave84:
I really like this mold but i think that he will have two one from Cybertron and one from Earth mode
LimeWire:
i think the sr71 is no longer eserved for jetfire!

look:

GAUGE0001:
Judging by the photos, I'm thinking it's FAB Soundwave.
