yizhi521 of our 2005 Boards and has posted over 30 new images of the upcoming Transformers Seaspray figure that will be released later this year as part of the rebranded Transformers line. A cross-sell on the package reveals a new Autobot Ratchet repaint, called Night Ops Ratchet, while Seaspray’s bio hints that there will be a Decepticon figure called Crankstart. I'm pretty pumped about this one, SeaSpray was one of the first Transformers I ever got as a kid. Nice to see him get his due with what looks to be a pretty decent figure!!
justtogood
id buy that for a dollar!!!

This figure got 20% more awesome for me with the news that Scout Hubcap is being released.
My first Transformers were the G2 Minibots…Hubcap, Beachcomber, Seaspray, and Bumblebee. Bumblebee is horribly over exposed (though I would still buy a Scout of him, either G1 or Movie) but homaging the other three is pretty much win. I'm waffling on Beachcomber, as I'm not sure whether my Dune Runner sucks because it's a victim of horrible QC or whether it's just an awful toy. But Hubcap will be riding Sea Spray in my future collection. Count on it. (And they will also hang out with RotF Brawn and Gears, even though they weren't in G2 and I didn't own them…close enough, still minibots!)

So this is a Classics figure? It looks pretty good, but I don't know if that is really classics worthy? And if that is supposed to be Seaspray then that paint job is horrendous. Definitely gonna get the Henkei version if this is a classics figure.

I have to say this toy is pretty darn ingenious by Has/Tak. It'll definitely be going square into the 'Classics' category for me. I don't care what box you put it in, it's 'Classics' kinda like Bludgeon. I do hope they make a legends version though just to give a direct update from the original G1 size though. Like they did for Cosmos, Warpath, etc.

No, because those were the freaking coolest books ever. /gradeschoolinthe90's

I agree, though. If you like the toy, does it matter if Hasbro decides it belongs to Animorphs?

Hey, you don't have to tell ME twice.
Optimus Prime
I'd say Spring even, considering we've got boxed versions of two of the toys and seen packaging for yet another two (if Power Core Combiners are going to be released alongside these).
netkid
Most likely Summer, so you can play with him in the pool or at the beach.
Ravenxl7
Sometime this year, most likely during the Summer. Beyond that, we don't know yet.
kaindarkstar87
So do we know when this is coming out?
SPLIT LIP
Well fuck.
Now I have to track down a Longtooth.
It's like Toy racism or something.
(that's a joke)
wildfly
energon prime's trailer was gutted apparently.
Kraken
We have our winners!

You realize you must recreate that in a photo and post it for all of us to see, yes?
netkid
Who cares what line its from?!?
It's a hovercraft that folds up into an amphibious robot which makes excellent use of any vehicle "kibble" it may have by it letting become something useful for underwater exploration. Scuba tanks from the air cushion, underwater propellers from the fans, harpoon guns from the cannons, a backpack from a working vehicle deck! Everything has a second purpose. And all the extra details! Scuba mask, breather unit, hoses, oxygen tanks, underwater propellers, water/harpoon cannons, FLIPPERS!
Everything works to compliment either mode. It fucking rocks and this toy deserves to be bought no matter which series it lies in.

Like I said, I'm displaying Seaspray with Longtooth riding on him, holding a borrowed harpoon and chasing Sky-Byte.
Screw categories.

^What confuses me is how some of us nerds can be so damned fickle. It feels like plenty of people would just up and buy this toy if Hasbro said it was meant to be Classics, or do the exact opposite if they said it was a movie figure.
If you like the damn thing buy it, if not don't. Completist-types aside it doesn't get much simpler than that.
Foster
Maybe they care more about making cool toys than how a bunch of nerds like us arrange our shelves.
