New, clear images of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave!

they really need to repaint this in the black color scheme that he will be in the movie, a it stands right now i dont like it very much. The legs are to scrawny and the colors kill it

i think he looks wicked, and seems to have a chin straight from Animated. but i do have one complaint, and its something that i am VERY concerned about, which is why i hope this is like Prime and Screamer from the pre-release: MINIONS!!! where's Lazerbeak/Ravage/Rumble/Ratbat/Buzzsaw/umm, i think thats all, not counting Frenzy

and plenty of really nice detail in there to make use of when you do

Looks damn near like they just put a Soundwave looking head on Movie Megatron's body. Looks like shit IMHO, and this is the first time I've ever bashed the Movie designs... I have no problem with them... this just looks shitty. Is it really all that great? Or are some just happy it's Soundwave??

Design aesthetic looks ok but to me the figure looks horribly awkward and clunky with its proportions, shoulder, hip and back kibble.

im a big soundwave fan, and love the movie designs, the concept art we got for soundwave was awesome, this is just a bad design

I am very disapointed. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the design is bad, but why bother calling it "Soundwave"? Why not just change the head (or not) and make it an original character?
Putting a soundwave-esq head on this and calling it Soundwave is like putting sprinkles on shit and calling it iced cream. The sprinkles don't change anything, it's still just shit with sprinkles.
That being said, maybe this is a preview/cybertron mold. Still unpsyched.
This is also too grand a mold for the character that Soundwave has traditionally been. Soundwave is not a peacock, he is a laid back, plotting, ninja kind of guy. He should be sleek and stealthy. This exhibits the same dumbness of design as making the autobot SPY, Bumblebee, have an alt mode more flashy than Puff Daddy. Obviously, they do not understand the meaning of "SPY".
The bottom line is less is more. Save this flashy crap for a character like Sunstreaker or one of the Stunticons or Sunstorm.
Give Soundwave a mode befitting of a spy.
Still, the movie fanboys will eat this up, I am sure.

For the same reason they called "Optimus Prime" the protoform version of the character.

Hmmm....he has a LOT of borrowed elements from that leaked concept art...check out the "truck grill" in his mid torso or his forearms and fists. Hell probably the most obvious is the big blue circles. Something tells me the concept art may be right on the money for his earth mode.

He looks like Megatron's high priest... those satellite panels going down and up look like a billowing cloak. I like it and hope it'll be rendered on screen, but it seems unlikely.

im not a movie hater and to be honest the figure is crap it looks like a lighter version of megatron they could of done a way better job

About half of the first movie line I disliked, most of the rest I was "meh" on, and just a handful that I actually liked.

This one firmly belongs in the "dislike" category. What a jumble of crap.

Looks interesting, but too gray IMO. It's possible that may change for final release, but I doubt it will change that much. It comes off a lot like a movie Megatron variation with a Soundwave-esque head., as others have said. I think something as simple as making the primary color a dark blue or black, with the gold and light/clear blue highlights would go a log way to change that. Maybe the 'Earth Mode' toy will be different in that regard. Either way, I think I'm gonna be more picky-choosy with this movie line than I was with the first.

He sure looks an awful lot like Megatron. This mold has to be a non-earth alt-mode figure.

i think its supposed to be the same grey as the rest of his body, most likely because his head doesnt really hide anywhere upon transformation into his satellite mode

He looks ok, the head is decent .. Not the greatest figure but still cool.. He looks small though, like FAB or Deluxe because of his hands being one sold piece and his size beause he got that short look going..

Yep, Ive come to the realization, that, these movie figures are purely concieved as film material, and has almost zero potential for real establishment in Transformers as a whole.
