These images finally give a good idea of what Soundwave will look like, including a clear look at Soundwave's head and the back of the robot mode!

Its NOT G1 Soundwave so yes, liberties can be taken with how he looks even his face.

Looks a little busy in the mask area. Wonder if that's just for the Cybertron mode or if the Earth mode will also look that way?

Wow, I really like the movie take on the G1 head, very cool. I'm with NIDARAM12 on this being a new Deluxe preview figure, maybe followed up by a Voyager class Earth mode?

Anywho, I have to agree with Nidaram12, this has to be a preview figure of sorts. I mean, it IS the first ROTF toy we've actually seen so far (not counting Universe Superion, that's just a Universe toy in ROTF packaging). If so, then maybe we might see more Preview figures...

Hmmm....too much grey, and the sculpted fists are kinda odd. Hopefully he looks better in the movie. His face is also longish, yet reminiscent of Soundwave.

No way in hell I'm buying this.

Nope, these are new to me. And STILL mistransformed, albeit closer to the actual product.

i love the movie line. it was a chance to make the TFs be more mecha-human, and less robot...

Yeah, it looks like a preview toy like the protoforms from the last movie! It just doesnt look very detailed nor a very complex transformation!

Why are those retards on Don Murphy saying he has a mouth already? I mean even Gaogaigar has the same kind of "mouth" except it isn't a mouth.

Aaah! So it wasnt a head what popped out of the vehicle mode. Looks good, it does look like a protoform toy. Could have more blue but right now i like it.

It's not much. Those big shoulder panels fold down against the shoudlers, that piece with the big spike on this back flips up to cover the missile launcher behind his head, the larger triangular piece behind his waist flips up, and the two smaller triangles on the sides flip up on those black struts, then rotate down to his back at that clear blue circle, and then rotate on a ball joint to sit flat against his back. It's not a huge difference, it's mostly kibble arrangement.

way to much kibble for my likeing. you can make anything transform easily if your aloud to have that much kibble. I liked to be amazed by transformerations.

I like how he looks, and honestly, the kibble doesn't bother me one bit. I might end up waiting for his Earth-mode though. Just have to wait and see what his other toys will look like in comparison to this one.

Personally I think the hip plates look way cooler as three-part Five Star Stories hip armor.

Yeah, that's one of the things I'm digging about the figure. I think the general bot mode is fairly solid, and the kibble has the ability to be arranged to individual preference.
