Voice actor Neil Kaplan, the voice of Optimus Prime in the Robots In Disguise Transformers cartoon will make his voice be heard in the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game, giving voice to the characters Long Haul and Protectobot. Kaplan recently made the announcement on his Facebook page:

"I am THRILLED to announce my return to the "Transformers Universe". This summer you can find my work on "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". This brilliant video game is from the geniuses at Activision. I play both sides of the fence as Decepticon - Long Haul and Autobot - Protectobot. So... I can help you save or destroy the Earth. Just try to let me know ahead of time... nothing worse then tearing down what was meant to be saved.

i loved his version of Optimus Prime, after pretty much only ever having two voice actors before him. sadly i got 4 favourite VA that makes me think prime, mind you he is one of them. glad to have him back though.

He isn't Peter Cullen but his Prime voice was pretty good. Much better than David Kaye.

Sweet! Now another reason to get this game. Neil Kaplan did a great job as Prime in RiD and now I think his Long Haul will be great.
I met him back at one of the Cybercon Expos a few years ago. Great guy and he's certainly full of energy.

I love Gary Chalk... though I think his voice is rather... known. Kinda like Cullen's. (Isn't that funny how Prime-VAs have such distinctive voices?).
Kaplan & Kaye both seem to have more range than C & C... and while I like Kaye's Prime, it wouldn't work for a non-young Prime.
weird - noticed we've got some interesting correlations for Prime voices C&C then K&K

Kaplan is the second best Optimus voice after the great Peter Cullen in my opinion.
I hope Mr Kaplan will return voicing an Optimus soon.

I've only watched a few RiD episodes and found his OP voice not very memorable compared to Peter Cullen and Gary Chalk, but nonetheless it's nice to see him back, and I think Long Haul is a character who suits him well. I hope Gary Chalk and David Kaye make VA appearances. In my opinion, they portrayed the best Prime-Megatron relationship.

That's awesome. He did a great Optimus Prime voice in RID. It's nice to know he's coming back to do two more voices, even if just for the game. Hopefully he does some more TF voice work in the future. Maybe even a voice or two for the next show
