Movie Sideswipe Toy Info and Possible Headshot

I'm pretty sure that leaked CGI of Sideswipe is the first movie design I haven't said, "WTF?" when I initially looked at it.

I don't think that's a CGI head. Looking at the autobot symbol and the kibble behind it, that looks like a closeup shot of the toy.

It also doesn't quite match the concept art also posted, but is close enough that I think we are seeing the movie version and the toy version. The explanation posted does say he has 4 exhaust type things sticking up the back, and I think you can see those behind the head on the close up avatar shot.

The movie concept art does not have those, so it's probably something that only appears on the toy. But the coloring and face are exact.

Exactly, that's not CGI ladies and gents rather a toy's head shot. CGI would look much much better than that, compare that to head shots from the first movie.

We haven't actually seen the whole title of the movie yet. It's really Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and I Can't Get Up.

I like it, one of the few heads design that looks simple. Looks like this would make for a good repiant.

But as far as the 1st movie toys go most of them in my eyes were junk and poor representaions(I personally hated all the molds) of what we had in the movie, from the picture of leader prime and the detailed info we have on sideswipe they are trying harder it get a more accurate toy.

My comment was about the actual CGI picture that was removed by Hasbro, not the head shot in the second post.

As far as I can tell it pretty much matches the leaked design.

I love Sideswipe (but I still want his bro) and this new one is looking cool in allot of ways!!

I hope whoever leaked the Optimus pic onto 4chan will leak this pic, too.

That's the Centennial Corvette. The R8 is a different bot.

It's clearly the Corvette Concept, and we've known it for a good while now. It definitely is not the Audi R8. Isn't even the right color for it, as I remember it was mostly white. Also, MisfitRobot, you might want to take the picture out of your post. Hasbro requested it to be taken down from the boards not too long after it was first leaked.

The more I look at the toy picture there, the more detail I can see in it, so I retract my FAB theory. Though it's inevitable that this bot will at one point get a FAB. I can also see the Deluxe mold getting at least two repaints. One in red and one in yellow. I'll probably get the first release and the yellow release. Though this is the one bot I'm a bit wary of getting the first release of, as I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually got a Premium version of him in a more metalic Silver. Kinda like Jazz in the first movies toy line. The others I'm not worried about at all. Especially Prime, as he looks good enough as-is.

The headsculpt looks really cool. I can't wait to see the whole thing.

Ooo, must see more of Sideswipe's toy, looking sweet thus far. Thank god Universe is going on hiatus, I'm getting the feeling I'll be spending a lot on ROTF figs.

I agree completely, when I first saw this finalized head design, Rampage was the first character I thought of.

You know, I do like this design, I really do. What I'm not sure about, is if I like it as Sideswipe. I think, for me, it will really come down to who is playing his voice.

Something else I noticed, Optimus Prime will have two swords, Sideswipe here will have two swords, and Jolt will have two electro-whips. I wonder if dual-wielding weapons is also going to be a theme of the next film, or if it's just a co-incidence.

If anything based on the cgi we got of Sideswipe wheel feet and 2 swords I say he is going to be a badass ninja

That's actually a rather nice looking head sculpt. I'm not sure what they ment by "looks kind of like Megatron, but not." I actually think it looks much better then Megatron's head design...Maybe because it's silver, they thought it looked Megatrony?...I donno. *shrug*
Personally it actually reminded me more of Ironhide just a bit.

I look forward to seeing the rest of the toy, though. The concept art shows those cool blade weapons on his arms, and I want to see how well they were able to work that into the toy.

Same here, dude! IMHO its one of the most sophisticated toy-designs like for now... so many hidden features, gimmicks and cool design transformation squashed into a Deluxe toy? Sideswipe = WIN.
