Fort Max:
Cybertron got 3 leader moulds, movie 1 got 3 leader moulds, animated got 3 leader moulds, if movie 2 has more then that then it would be a first.
Rijie78:
Looking forward to some decent shots of - hopefully - a wide range of ROTF toys; really hoping we see greater design accuracy and better finish across the board.
Also interested to see where the Universe/Classics line might be going, post-ROTF. Sunstreaker/Sideswipe has been the only sit-up-and-notice toy for me so far, it'd be great if that level of engineering became the benchmark for future toys - especially if applied to the Ultra class, which are woefully simplistic & underarticulated, considering their size.
Looking forward to the coverage!

Granted, this is the only show people actually care about (since the others were Japanese kids anime dribble), but yeah, this policy has been around for a while now.

Just figured I'd bring that up before anybody else did I'm really curious to see what kind of packaging he gets, though we already know one thing about it. He'll be packaged in bot-mode. If it wasn't for the fact that there has been no mention of any Ultra figures, I would say that could possibly his size class, though most Ultra's actually have electronics built into them. Would be cool if we got pictures of his packaging from Toyfair, though we most likely won't. Quote:

Cartoon Network itself loves to axe cartoons - especially once they get enough to syndicate it (which Animated would need a 4th season to do well, since they typically like about 50 episodes). Teen Titans was very popular when it get the axe - but they had enough episodes.
I'm hoping they pull a Justice League, and come back as a sequel show. Same as Beast Wars / Beast Machines as well.
Fit For natalie:
Can they just do a double-number Season 3 of 26 episodes? Quote:

They said in the past as long as Animated is profitable, they will keep it going. | If Cartoon Network no longer finds it profitable for their network, or for any other reason they've reserved the right to cancel the show whenever. Seeing as how the lead writer has already been let go by CN I wouldn't say this was just "Hasrbo focusing on the movie". Cartoon Network, more likely than not played a more significant role in axing Animated than Hasbro did.

Who says Starscream and The Fallen are the only other contenders for the Leader Class spot? The 2007 line had someone as obscure and ultimately forgettable (as cool as the toy was) as Brawl. The third leader could be Skids for all we know (though I sincerely hope it is not).
Ravenxl7:
Nice pictures of the Bumblebee poster thingy, though I find the Soundwave one a bit random. Does this mean they're already working on a Universe Soundwave for when RotF is over? or what?
General Tekno:
Yeah - what's with Soundwave?
S250:
what's that soundwave study for?

whats wrong with your kidney? have stones?

Isn't that Guido's character study of Soundwave for All Hail Megatron?
EDIT: DAMN YOU TOO ACID WING YOU AND RAVEN ARE BOTH UNPROFESSIONAL FOR WANDERING THROUGH SHOT. Maximus_Prime:
could be for a bitching Universe fig or for a possible Masterpiece figure, who knows
Bring on the toys!
Sammael:
What exactly is that Soundwave supposed to be? I doubt it's MP, sketch writing would be in Japanese...

The words "toy helmet" above the headshot in the sketch fills me with a special something. In my pants.

Methinks the Soundwave study is to see what aesthetic G1 elements they could incorporate into the Movie character.
Tekkaman Blade:
I've seen that soundwave from the IDW comics.
Fort Max:
I am assuming absolutely nothing about that Soundwave drawing, it is just a drawing and has no context at all.
With that out of the way, I love this sign board, no photos or Bumblebee will smash your face! http://www.tfw2005.com/i/photos/DSC00590.JPG Sol Fury: Quote:

I just don't understand why? If is was Cartoon Network's call to axe it. Too many time my kids have been like dad can we watch Spongebob as a opposed to Ben 10. And their other line up of shows have been just as bland. You would think that they would keep TF with new movie coming out at least until season 4.
Rijie78:
Hm... interesting Soundwave sketch. You could see a suggestion of balljointed ankles and articulated fingers in there... the waist and upper leg section look very similar to MP Convoy's...could it be a rough study for an MP figure? Given it's so slavishly G1, I can't imagine it would be a Universe figure.
megatronkicksas:
Well based on recent AHM pics and the fact that they are designed on toys... Id say it's a toy also why would a comic book artist study the character by saying where ball joints go?

Nightrain:
Definitely looks like Soundwave for Universe. It talks about hydraulics in the feet and articulated shoulder cannon.

MonkeyBusiness:
I'm pretty sure that with a franchise like Transformers, that has such an established design history with a number of characters, the movie designers probably took a good, long look at iconic characters such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, etc. and decided, based on the script and the alternate forms, what they were going to incorporate into the movie characters.
For example, Optimus Prime is still a truck, he's still red and blue, he still has windows on his chest, and he still has his faceplate.
In Megatron's case, because of the no mass shifting rule, a Cybertronian jet was chosen, but they gave him a cannon arm like in G1, and made him silver.
For something like Soundwave, whatever his alternate mode is won't be anything like his G1 form, but it's not out of the realm of possibility to see elements of his G1 design in his new movie form, such as a sonic based attack, a visor and faceplate, and a robotic monotone voice.

Actually, I hope we see an Earth mode ROTF Soundwave from this Toyfair - if there is one..
