More High Res ROTF Images from Hasbro

I hope we see him too. I'm thinking that since they mentioned him in the preview, that they might actually show him. I have a feeling he's one TF I'll be playing with in alt-mode quite a bit. The SR-71 is one of my favorite aircraft, so Jetfire is getting added to my collection no matter what. I'll even get the potential Voyager class mold they'll probably be making of him, though I'll most likely wait for a G1 inspired repaint of it. That way I can name it Skyfire, and have it be a separate character from Jetfire.

As for it being 30 minutes past when we were to expect info has me really anxious, but in a good way. Probably means that they have a whole lot of good info to tell us, and it's just taking them a bit longer to get it prepped than they thought it would.

I love this day, Toney B is really good at covering stuff like this. I will be happy to see any new toys, but the Devastator would put a big ol smile on my mug.

Will there be a Voyager Jetfire as well?

All leader sized characters got smaller toys last time.

Not really. I mean, if the toy fair that allowed pictures to be taken came before the one that didn't allow pictures, and nothing new was at the one that didn't allow pictures, would you really care about that one?

we will prob get newer and more info than we will get new pics. we have prob already seen alot and just get newer views of what we have already seen.

Yes, as the UK toyfair covers what is out in that country, so it's important to the UK consumer. All regional toyfairs are important, it's just that the US gets full lines compared to overseas markets - which get waterded down versions (due to smaller populations).

Although the other toyfairs wouldn't be viewed as important in the US if the US one was first, it would allow the other toyfairs to ...

a) openly display more
b) talk more about up coming lines - rather than being tied into not talking until after the US toyfair about what is coming out in that country (as the lines needs to "break first" in the US)
c) ensure that overseas retails would get to see the line (as images would already be available

Hasbro UK told us only this week that they will be releasing toyline information for the UK soon, but only after the US toyfair takes place. It seems silly that they can't speak about what they are going to be selling until after a toyfair in another country, whcih "shouldn't" affect what they sell, or who they sell to.

I just find it odd. Oh well, role on the pics / info.

Man, this has me giddy. I hope we get to see the final waves of Animated & Universe and any potential store exclusives that will 'linger' for these two lines during RotF. Also, be nice to see some of the RotF stuff too, but I don't expect to see much (probably mostly written info on those) because of the way the movie line was handled at the 2007 Toy Fair. Though, being that the secrecy thing was kind of stupid anyways... I could see them doing it a little differently this year. Just have to wait and see.

I wish, Seems to Be Prime, Jetfire and Megatron.

This is what would make me happy, and will continue to support Hasbro outside of ROTF, after they lied saying Animated would be around as long as it's profitable.

Yeah, that's what I think is most likely as well given:

a) The fact that they made an all new Voyager mold for Starscream that seems to be a very large improvement from the original.

b) The fact that The Fallen is about as large as a Leader, but is going to be released as a Voyager. He just has an Animated Lockdown style of transformation.

Being that those two were the only other contenders for the Leader Class spot... I don't think we'll be seeing them as leaders.

Most likely never coming. They never made toys for those two because of ROTF, and given Animated's uncertain future...

Why? Did Hasbro promise to keep the show going for eternity? Not trusting them because they ended a show's run is illogical.

Thing is, if he is going to be sold as a Voyager class figure, he's going to have his own style of packaging, as the regular Voyager class figures are going to be packaged in alt-mode. His instruction sheet points to him being packaged in bot-mode. Won't surprise me if he does have his own special packaging.

Also I just realized if Prime and Jetfire supposedly combine how come we didn't see a pic of the gimmick on the back of Primes leader class toy box?

Most Optimus Prime figures from past lines that have had similar combining abilities don't have it advertised on their packaging either. It's almost always just been on the other bot's packaging. Which will probably be the case this time around too.

They never show the combination gimmick on the back of the Prime figure's box. They usually show it on the back of his combining partner. Think back to the previous combining Primes and you'll see.

Trusting Hasbro based on the things they say, then turn around and nix, doesn't do well on their word.

They said in the past as long as Animated is profitable, they will keep it going.

The game got good reviews, and all stores around me easily sold out of their copies to where only TRU has some, and they've restocked at least 3 times on the game.

I continue to see wave 3 and 4 sell through, despite wave 5 being in ample supply around here. Those waves sell just as well as wave 5 here.

If that isn't profitable, then I don't know what is. Ironically, I only live in one of the 50 states in this fine country. That doesn't even account for worldwide sales.

TF has always been profitable for them, no matter if it's the crappy anime Power Ranger Transformers, or Animated. They wouldn't keep a line going in any form, if it didn't bring profit, and even if Animated didn't bring profit, you rely on the brand as a whole, to support each other. If that's the case, then they are filthy rich on TF with all these repaints people are suckered into buying.

The only reason they would cancel Animated, and mark my words, they'll say this, is due to focusing on the movie. However, in the past they stated that the movie and Animated could easily co-exist.

Oh, I have to agree completely with that, but I'm still pretty sure that there won't be a Leader version of him and the fact that he would have his own unique packaging (and probably a unique class to or something) would support that.

and id guess jetfire is due about july/august so prime would be out first, why spoil it on a figure before the film!
