Heh, definently going to have to pick this guy up. Believe it or not Getaway (the G1 character this is supposed to represent) was the first Transformer that I ever spent my own money on (anything prior bought by family or friends for birthdays and Christmas and such...). So, Getaway has a very special place in my mind and this version (even though they've had to rename him due to issues with the original name) is a perfect homage and update to him.

Cool. Those are three molds I don't own yet, so I might at least get Gunbarrel and Reverb, as I wouldn't mind owning those two. Would be interesting to see two more of the Scout combiner limbs, and then a repaint of one of the Deluxe combiner body's released. That way I could add another combiner to my Decepticon forces, and possibly kitbash one for my Autobot forces.

Edit: I just noticed that the clear blue parts for Gunbarrel and Reverb are the same shade of blue, so it could be possible that they're planning on releasing 3 more so people could make a combiner (though having that gimmick mentioned on the back of the packaging would help with that, lol).

Hot DAMN they better come up with a deluxe combiner part somehow...

No idea, but I'm getting the vibe that the Movie line will continue threw ought the rest of the year in the form of store exclusive repaints (Target, TRU, and Walmart).

Well that explains why target marked down the deluxes but not the basics. I'm guessing the wave after this will be the two jets and cybertron scattershot

Why don't they have Allspark Power packaging, though? They all clearly have the Allspark Power blue on them.

If this is true then SWEET!!!! Until they release the repainted deluxe, they'll go great with barricade. Ima gonna have to remove it off of my sales thread.

Nice. This way, I don't have to get Blight and Stormcloud (which has horrible color schemes, IMO) and I will still be able to complete Bruticus Maximus.

i can't wait to buy the limbs! i love em so much...and hopefully they release two more, and a main torso...or both torsos even...so you can swap them out whenever you want...

New Target Scouts, eh? Kinda unexpected.... and sort of bland looking. But they're cheap, and I like all three of those molds, so I'll get 'em.

Breakaway, on the other hand, engenders FAR more enthusiasm from me. I am really looking forward to that little guy.

Getaway was the first G1 TF I ever had, and I loved it. Despite not having the engine or gun, I always thought so highly of him.

Wow, that's a surprise. Do want them all, and I'd love a movie gestalt. Bring on an Energon Barricade repaint in Universe Onslaught colors if you have to!

Well, I for one am happy to see these repaints, even if they really aren't truly from the movie. I stopped buying Transformers by the time I got to high school (beginning of the 90's - man, I feel old, heh), but when the movie line came out I thought I'd start again. So basically this means that I missed out on all the product lines in between. At least this way I can buy TF's at a reasonable price instead of paying something inflated.

Also, AARGH these new movie toys - between these and Transformers Animated toys, I think my video game budget has gone out the door ;D

EDIT: Oh snap, I just looked up Getaway, and he's one of the last TF's I ever got before I moved on. Really solid Powermaster, great colors, and cool design. Now I'm SUPER jazzed to pick up Breakaway

and I thought Deep Space Screamer was the end of the line! Anyway, I don't mind repaints, especially when they have new names, and these won't be that expensive.

You realize these don't take away from the Animated line at all right? They're just bonus stuff on the side that the retailers ask for.

I realy like those basics. I seriously love basic sized TFs and was practicaly giddy with excitment when Animated continued them I really hope they do make this a gesault, only using limbs from the other two gesaults aswell. My Zellers always gets these target exclusives so I should have very little trouble trying to find them.

I do want Breakaway, but the Scouts...not so much.

Some scout class repaints aren't going to stop Hasbro or Target from releasing the Animated or even the Universe lines. If anything I'm hoping for more of these Scout repaints, and hopefully at least one Deluxe to go with the gestalt limbs.

Aww, come on! Can the Autobots have military guys in their side? Sheesh...Every military mold I saw (minus Landime) is a con. Can´t we get rid of the cliché "Rar Military bad! Military =Decepticons!" ?

Gunbarrel's the only one of those scouts that's even a "maybe" on my list. The other two are sure passes for me.

Breakaway looks nice, though. I'll probably pick him up.

Eh, pass. Some of the Animated Voyagers just hit my local Wally-Mart. I'm saving for them.

As much as I am tired of the movie line, i like the 2 energon scout repaints.

reverb my exhaust port with that colorscheme the guy might as well be deathcobra from transformers victory

it is downright uncanny how well that colorscheme works for the character

all he needs now is is energon skyshadows head to give him that whole cobra snake helmit look

It's a shame that Cyb. Hot Shot wasn't re-painted as Classics Tracks, as opposed to Classics Breakaway; there was a lot of potential for that IMO...

I never got Gunbarrel's original mold, so that might be a pickup for me. Breakaway is definitely on my want list.

Why is it Decepticon Reverb? It wasn't Mini-Con Reverb two years ago during Cybertron, but then again he was packaged with Jolt and Six-Speed, still I can't believe Hasbro either A) Lost the Reverb name useage rights or B) Can't use Reverb without slapping Decepticon in front of the name due to the fact it's a common word like Hound or Tracks.

Nice to see more Scouts though, now if only they repaint my favorite Windrazor/Treadshot from the Superion Maximus set as part of this new combiners limbs.

Man I was just telling my wife that they should have done some of the gestalt limbs from Energon in the movie Scout line before it ended and I guess I called it done prematurely! Awesome! Now, if only they'll do the two jet limbs and Cybertron Scattorshot I'll be happy!

Big pass on Backtrack though... I owned Lugnutz and he's not that great IMO, but more power to those of you that want him.

Seems to me like the movie line isn't going to die, but stay as exclusives over the next couple of months with Target's Scouts, Wal-Mart's Deluxes & TRU's Voyagers & Ultras.

Eh, I think I'd rather have Tracks get his all new mold for Universe 2.0. Honestly, as much as I love Breakaway I could never see Hasbro giving us a new mold to that character so he's better as a repaint I think.

Cool beans. I hope these manage to make it to Canada like the rest of the target scouts did. It's nice to see some exclusives up here.

AFter getting Botcon Goldbug, I'm loving the Hotshot mold and Getaway/Breakaway is a greta character too, so that's a must (and will be added to my classics like Fracture and Crankcase will be).

Won't be touching the scout stuff though.

I find it odd that Hasbro's lawyers apparently think "Reverb" and "Fracture" are too generic to trademark on their own, but not "Backtrack" or "Gunbarrel".

Last I checked the whole Autobot Grimlock thing was only on the website. Everything else I've seen has just been Grimlock.

Here's hoping that the two Jets get repaints, and that either Barricade or Stormcloud get repainted to go along with the others. Would be cool to see both the Superion and Bruticus gestalts being repainted throught the line, but I'll be happy enough if we just get enough for one gestalt.
