| Image Of New Movie Optimus Prime Toy With "Mech Alive" Gimmick |

The image indicates the new gimmick for the movie line will be called "Mech Alive," with moving armor panels. This appears to be similar to the "Automorph" technology that accompanied the first movie toy line. Additionally, the Optimus Prime toy will reportedly include double snap out energy swords, speech, light up eyes and chest, and engine revving sounds. Looks like "automorph" technology is going to be called "Mech Alive" for the movie figures.  Ravenxl7:
Sounds good to me. Not a perfect name for the gimmick, but not any worse than Automorph. That Prime looks interesting. I wander what size class it is. Is it just me, or is that orange thing to the left part of a sword? Would be interesting if this was a new mold Voyager class figure.

I've been kind of hoping for a new mold Deluxe Optimus.
At least then I'd have more of an excuse to pick it up, and it'd make a decent counterpart for deluxe Bonecrusher.
Whatever this new thing is, it looks promising. To be honest, 'Automorph' sounded better to me than 'mech-alive' does. Not that I actually care.

It's going to be hard for me to decide whether or not to buy a new leader class Prime mold.
I already have the first one(premium version), and my Prime shelf is getting kind of packed.

| I think for that reason, a new combining Optimus would proably have to be smaller than Leader Class. I don't think it's likely that Jetfire will be larger than Leader class, and Optimus will have to be smaller than Jetfire. My money's on Voyager class for Optimus.

Though I'm still hoping for a new mold Voyager class figure that combines with a Voyager/Ultra class Jetfire. In the end I could end up getting the Leader class versions of them, along with a Leader class Megs. Though I would rather get Voyager/Ultra class figures for those three bots, tbh. Here's hoping we get some more pictures of this, and others, soon.

Promising start, but the mold will have to be different enough to justify me picking up another "movie-verse" Prime. I'm still floored that Hasbro didn't demand the cast get new robot / alt modes. We'll just have to wait and see I guess...
