Gallery of Gold Lucky Draw Movie Voyager Optimus Prime movie-gold-voyager-optimus-pri
Our Lucky Draw Transformers collecting friends over at Transformers @ The Moon have acquired one of the previously reported Lucky Draw Voyager class Movie Optimus Primes. In addition to an extensive gallery of this striking and very shiny piece, they have done some research into the history of the piece, and you can also read their findings on the linked page.

wow that is a very beautiful figure i love the detail pics!
dark69:
to gold for me but its cool
Ktulu:
So tacky, yet desirable
shibamura_prime:
Snazzy. Though, LD Galaxy Convoy's still the only gold sumbich I'm in the market for.
viper2391:
Its a total let down. How come the smoke stacks and other parts are not gold chromed? It made the figure looked unfinished and cheap in my opinion.

I agree, this is the first LD, I'm not instantly enamored with. That gray center piece in the chest and those feet look awful. There are plenty of instances of non-chromed parts in all the other LDs, but usually they'll use a gold-ish plastic. I'm also not crazy about the way the chrome looks on this mold...luckily I'm in no position to be hunting for LDs anyway.
Dolza_Khyron:
yuk i've never liked the gold lucky draw formers lol
ultraconvoy:
I passed on this first and all i have to say Thank God i did!
I will wait it out and see if this is real. Looks too fake......
Nevermore:
The original plastic color still shines through under the gold chrome in many places. See image 29 for example.
grock35:
I'm still thinking it's a test shot
freezowave:
Despite what was paid for this item it looks cheap. The blue eyes look out of place with the gold, but I wonder why the grey parts were not gold toned plastic like past LD's?
ultraconvoy:
testshot or homemade.
Grimwing:
movie prime joins the silverhawks.

(chrome line of action figures in the 80's -ridiculously chromed)
MetroBoy:
They at least could have chromed the grey parts out in silver... that just looks cheesy.

Silverhawks are cool. I can't say the same about this one. As already stated, it's not that my opinion matters much anyways as I'll never own one of these toys. I hope this toy is enjoyed by those who own it
funkatron101:
Never understood the appeal of these. I would take a gray prototype over this any day.
Elvin Pena:
Very nice looking, and fantastic pickup if it is 100% legitimate.
DeceptiKreep:
This is some major "bling"!

Think we will see this attached to some chain on some rapper's neck in the near future?

I agree. Good call. Judging by the chrome flaking or damage, I would have to argue that it could very well be a lunch time special. Not sure though.

Zaraxion1021:
Shiny!! With some Bling-Bling
Stormcrow:
I think it's UUUUUUGLYYYYY
brybosch:
HMMM i like it id buy it(if i had the money) but theres 1 problem...hmm lemme see? AAAHH YYYEEEESSSS! VACUUM METALIZING! TF@the moon PREPARE FOR CHIPPING!
Rattrap587:
These ugly and weird Movie TF´s... Doesn´t matter if its gold painted. Is still ugly and weirdooooo...
ams:
Hmmm...

My "must own everything related to the movie" and my "absolutely no LDs whatsoever" policies create quite the quandary for me here.

I do think this is fake, but if it's determined that there was or will be a legitimate run of them, I'll probably track one down.
Dr Wheeljack:
I think it looks cool i like the voyager prime mold oddly enough I usely
hate the all gold luck draw stuff.
Bahamut Prime:
Hmm... seeing this makes me think of Gundam SEED Destiny's Akatsuki Gundam now...

Other than that, not one I'd buy though.
big hank:
Did somebody call TNN's Pimp my rig show? Not really my thing, but pretty cool for what it is.
Rdfnd1253:
AWFUL!!!! If this is a real LD...its gotta be the worse one to date!!

The best Movie LD is the chrome normal colored Optimus that guy won and only 2 exist which he owns both!
Liege Prime:
As far as the LD's go, if I were to get one via a "Lucky draw", like the Christmas WST Grimlock from Christmas '06, then I would be happy I won something so rare. But honestly, gold Chromed figures just don't fit in with most collections and beyond the novelty are not something I feel the need to have by dishing out a large some of money. Just my own take though- I still enjoy the galleries and hope whoever gets them, for whatever reason, is happy.

As for this one in specific. not the best I've seen by far.
Railguard:
Eeeehhhh, not interested. Gold plated things go in safe place, like someplace that is locked, not played with.
BustaJesse:
That looks awful, and very fake.
