Our own S250 has shared with us photos from tf08.net of another upcoming Transformers 2 toy. This one is a remold of the highly-desired deluxe Bumblebee from the first film. Sharp-eyed fans can see the head and front bumper are remolded and the weapon is new.

Eh, its basically the same toy. I wont buy it just because it has a new weapon.

Nice try, that one looks pathetic, I mean the one from the prequel, with a detachable arm.

thats actually a possibility, BB might change his form later in the movie
and this could be his pre transition mode.
NIDARAM12:
I thought Hasbro made some big nice-guy speech about how they didn't want moms to have to buy the same toy twice so characters from the first movie wouldn't be getting new toys. How is this any better
Silent_Magnus:
I'm glad it's just a remold. I'm good with just owning one version of Bumblebee.

Actually I thought they said they were going to improve on the old characters as much as possible, or something simmilar.
kylash327:
awesome new head!
Vladakris:
HIs head is also more accurate ^.^! Ill get him anyways! Aslo what hasbro said about improvement, well its quite hard to improve uppon this mold. Its pretty much dead accurate.
Banzaitron45:
I thought Hasbro said they didn't want to make parents buy the same toy.
Silent_Magnus:
They probably don't expect people who already own a version of this mold to buy it again.
G1Wheeljack:
Pretty much expected, Bumblebee seems to be marketed more than Prime these days.
Dinobot Nuva:
Digging the new sculpts, will probably pick this up just for the retools.

Jeremy.B:
Lame. If we can look forward to more remolds/retools for the original cast, major dissappointment. I understand the need to milk a mold for all it's worth, but this is what, the 6th or 7th remake of this mold? Again, lame. We got so many repaints and premium series, we should at least get new molds for older characters. Of course, if the robot count is much bigger, as it seems to be, and we got a ton of new toys, this kind of crap can be forgiven.
imwthstpd:
I'm going to have to buy it, although i want it anyway. My dog ate my 09 comaro one and my 70's comaro was a custom gone wrong

just joined! Hasbro did say something like that, but unless one of the new twins or Sideswipe is the new kid-appeal character, Bumblebee probably still is. Kids are definitley going to wantg a new Bumblebee figure, heck I do!

I hope that makes sense

by the way they said they were not going to make BRAND NEW toys for surviving characters, they didnt say they werent going to re-release them.
VampireNekoBoy:
Well Prime is getting a new mold regardless that hes keeping his alt mode!
Darth Rodimus:
I wonder if anyone could provide a link to where Hasbro said that?
Sideswipe80:
Sold! Can't wait to see Prime, Ironhide, and Ratchet.

Bumblebee is released again to please the ones who didn't get the toy the first time around and got slightly retooled to please the collectors.
Autobot Burnout:
As much as I think this retool looks cooler than the BB's before it, I already got the Premium one from the WM 3-pack, which is good enough for me. A cooler bumper and a new projectile weapon doesn't justify another $10 purchase for a deluxe I already own.

Then again, I could make a neat custom out of this thing if the head was swaped with another one...
Rayzilla Prime:
His head looks a lot better. It has more dimension to it unlike the first one. Even though he hasn't changed much from the previous movie, I'll most likely get him.
Orion_Prime48:
dammit I told myself no Bumblebees for me in ROTF cause I had so many problems with it originally but that looks awesome cant wait to see better pics
Scourgatron:
YAY! No more flat face.

What sucks is, I said to myself that I wasnt going to buy any figures of the first movie Autobots but Hasbro seems to be correcting their mistakes.
Absolute:
it's tempting... i think i will wait until there's a premium series edition of this so i don't make the same mistake last time... my shelf is a beehive
Ra88:
Looks like the weapon is simply a smaller version of the previous version's weapon, even down to the handle (so it's not a permanent weapon).

Why would Hasbro make an entirely new figure when this mold is widely regarded as one of the best deluxe molds from the first movieline (only hindered by it's large amount of balljoints)?

.......How is giving him a new weapon 'cheap'?

Same here. Usually, it's a Prime...Hive.
Triggerhappy:
I like CameroBee, and this one looks like an improvement tho I love the original weapon !!

Basically the head on this is sweet. Looking forward to Ironhide.... and EVERYONE else!!

I did love this mold but I can't help but *SIGH* @ the thought of another 6-plus releases of it. The main movie molds got over-killed to ultimate staleness.
Bumblejazz:
The new headsculpt is great. I'll definitely be getting this 'cause I love Bumblebee. Hopefully Ironhide will be re-released because I missed out on him the first time and had to settle with the FAB version.

They did. Instead of making an all new mold for BB they slightly changed the old one. He's close enough to the original that parents can skip him if they already have him yet different enough for those collectors who wanted a better version to warrent buying him.

At most, we'll see 4-5 of the original character's toys (not including non-movie figures) coming back as themselves. BB, Ironhide and Ratchet don't really warrent completely new figures as their originals were pretty close. At most they'll get some slight retools/remolds like BB did. And we don't know if Barricade or Starscream will be coming back in their original forms, but if they do their toys will most likely be used too. Prime however was said to be getting an all new leader figure to better match the movie design.

But in addition to those, the movie has a MASSIVE bot cast, so we'll be getting more new movie character molds from this one then the original movie. Not naming names, but there's at least 7 confirmed new characters coming in this film and that number could easily double if the leaked info is correct. We'll be getting a LOT of new molds in this movie, so 3-4 repeats isn't a big deal imo.
Lucs:
I hope all the original movie bots get the same treatment and keep their old alt forms so I can easily pass and maybe just buy the new guys. I like to have the full cast but I might just stick to the new guys and just the A-bots this time

The Head looks a bit big on this even though it seems more accurate

Kinda hoping they make a new Ironhide, more bulky, and accurate, the first was just too ehhhh, I want Ironhide to be as accurate as possible, becuase hell he was my favourite autobot.
Cascadia:
Easy pass for me. Other than a few retools, it nearly looks identical to the '08 BB. So, if people were unable to get it the first time around, I feel that this is a good substitute.
godsenddeath:
So..... Tired.... of this mold.

Sorry Hasbro, but you can stick it.
Moroni Prime:
anyone notice that it now has gray plastic instead of black?
blackout501st:
i hope they fix that little waste problem with him, it was alwase flopping all over the place. but it looks awesome!!!
soundwaveCA:
But It's got a new hat!
Backscatter:
I just wish it didn't have AutoMorph.
BlitzFire:
i told myself i was not going to buy any of the new movie toys, mostly because I just like to focus on one toy line at a time and it can be other then TFs so Ive got the original movie line going as well as the 3" titaniums going....but im finding myself kinda wanting this one....and maybe the devastator pieces for ROTF.....this blows lol
DieMaus:
Just to add to what a few people have already said: I personally feel that a slightly amended rerelease of this sort is actually the best route Hasbro could have taken on this. As they themselves said, fans/parents of fans of the first movie's toys were never likely to want or appreciate having to buy a ton of new versions of the same characters from the first film, but on the other hand it's equally ridiculous to expect that they'd just omit the likes of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime from the RotF toyline on the grounds that they'd "already been done". Releasing minor upgrades such as this will cater to fans of the new movie and collectors who did want to see new versions of the core cast, without making the owners of the original movie toys feel like they're particularly obliged to buy them. I, for example, never got a '08 Camaro Bumblebee last time round, so I'll be picking this new one up when it hits; on the other hand, I'm more than happy with my existing Ironhide and Ratchet, so I'm OK with skipping whatever new variants of those they release...
Eric:
The head-sculpt's a LOT better. Since I couldn't get the first '08 'Bee, might as well get this one when it comes out.
flamingunicron:
should i get him? It is the same mold essentially...damn you Hasbro!
jourdo:
Nice update! Unsure of my want level right now.

Plus, why reinvent the wheel? That Bumblebee mold is simply phenominal. A great mold indeed which was very accurate to the CGI model (or as accurate as a toy allows)

I hope that we get a new Leader-class Prime though which is more accurate and isn't too hampered by gimmicks (not saying the first one was, but I have a reason to be concerned about the second for spoilerish reasons)

I´m gonna buy it on the head alone. But it´s a shame that the old weapon looks more show accurate than the new one.
