The more I see it, the more I like it. Especially the head sculpt. This is probably the toy I'll be getting, as it looks about the size of a Voyager class toy (though it's still too hard to tell exactly how big he is). I'll be getting a Soundwave toy one way or the other, so there's a good chance that it'll be this one.

Really nice head sculpt, can't wait for this guy.

I'm telling you guys! In an effort to prevent proto-theft, Hasbro hired a voodoo Witchdoctor to put hexes on all TF toys, so that when taken early, a curse happens. It seems Soundwave was hit with the 'Hex of the Bad Photograph', wherein it is physically incapable for someone to take a proper picture of the toy.

Rumor says the Sideswipe toy has 'Obscenely Huge Site Logo Covering Everything' curse, and Megatron will have 'Hasbro Finds and Takes the Pics Down Before Anyone Can Save Them' curse.

And the Fallen toy? Gold Plastic Syndrome.

That looks pretty good, but his chin also has a V-shaped set of lines as well.

I see more of a mouth, myself.

But the head sculpt looks good.

Anyone else notice how similar it looks to the concept art we saw? Makes me think that concept art head is legit.

Figure looks like some hybrid of Beast Wars Depth Charge and Tigerhawk. And the head actually has a bit of a Prime vibe to it.

Looks very weird. I like the head. I mostly how close they can get to soundwave. But im still hoping for a little more G1 reference on the toy.

Nice head, too bad the body looks like a Vector Prime clone. Never imagined Soundwave as a fly-bot... a tank alt mode would have been more fitting.

If this is the closest we will get to a G1 Soundwave homage, I'm more than satisfied with a head sculpt like that.

This has got to be the real deal.

I love the head sculpt. Fantastic. I wish they could have taken that approach with all the movie designs.

I do have one major fear though. I think it's pretty obvious that this will be a hasbro preview figure (like the Prime and Starscream we got before, which werent realy seen in the film). I'm worried that the Soundwave in the movie, the earth mode Sound Wave, will lack the recognizable G1 head.

Regardless, this thing looks pretty cool.

Yeah, this does look surprisingly G1-esque, not just in terms of the head, but also the colour scheme of blue, grey, red, and especially the yellow-rimmed chest area.

Still, I remain somewhat uncertain as to exactly how much significant this figure is going to be as an indication of Soundwave's in-movie appearance. The general consensus appears to be that this is likely to be a Cybertronian-mode preview toy, much like Protoform Optimus Prime and Starscream from the original movie line, but neither of those toys looked anything like the CGI models in the actual film. I do like the look of this toy (from what I can see of it), because I do enjoy a good G1 reference, but I'm not quite ready to invest my full expectations into actually seeing this design appear on screen next May...

So what is the deal with this figure? Did the photog take these pictures a while back and is now starting to selectively release less and less blurry pics of the figure as time goes on? I just think it's a little weird that we're seeing all these leaked Soundwave pics but no Jetfire, Fallen (if the rumors are true), or other new bot pics. That's why whenever I see one of these images my red flags go up.

this head design ranks up there with Bumblebee ( looks like G1 Toy so no gripe ) prime ( with the mask up looks great ) Jazz ( looks like him ).

OK ...theres a grill..so hes a car I guess, still tis kinda getting ridiculous that there are so many different designs..I think Bay is trying to confuse us again.

I'm not going to be buying any of the movie toys, the ones from the first film were TOO disappointing.

This is the best I could do. The odd thing is it kinda looks like this.and like the protophorm figs. All the faces look similar so far.

i think it looks pretty good, i don't know why people think that a toy will/is the exact representation of whats in the movie...theres something for everyone with this one and it looks like it won't fall apart the first time you transform it.

The grill above the crotch looks very similar to the concept art with ravage and the truck.

That is what is surprising me ... that these pics are still up w/o any action on their end. That just leads me to believe even more that these pics are fake. Just made up of other toy parts. The blurry pictures are even more reason to think they are fake.

Sorry ... thats just how I think at this point.

I really hope he gets an earth mode toy too, or just an earth mode period. I would hate tosee him go through the whole movie with a cybertronian Alt. it just wouldn't seem right.
It would be cool to see him as some kind of Comm truck, like that lovely piece of fan art that one guy, JolinJester made. that was incredible.

Oh, and I love the head!

Looks good, close to the original design. SW's head/face were perfect for the character - no need to fix what ain't broke. I hope he keeps the faceplate on the whole time.
