Any other movies coming out within 2 weeks on either side of ROTF should only be chick flicks and documentaries. Anything with more than 2 seconds of special effects should steer WAY clear of June 24th.

Transformers will be way better than the new potter film, but i think with this new potter film it will be the most successful franchise beating the 007 films money wise. I think if transformers has a couple more after this they will beat harry potter but thats just me.

ROTF is going to dominate the box office regardless of wether or not it's actually a good movie. The Fact ROTF looks like a kick-ass film only amplifies the fail that WB has achieved with their blunder (the HP trailers just have lightning bolts flying all over the place and looks kinda stupid)

I'm going to rub this in on my fiance'. She loves Harry and I've hated that kid since I've been aware of him and saw 2 of the movies (not willingly). I made it quite clear to her I will not be dragged to another Potter film and have my money wind up going for a film franchise I don't care for. I think the Potter-ites and WB are becoming aware that they might not beat out TF at the box office again.

As a fan of both Harry Potter and Transformers this is a little bit of an eye roller for me. Of course, my love for HP really dropped after the 6th book but that's a different story.
Anyway, this is really a Warner Bros. blunder so my fellow HP fans are just going to have to suck it up.

Hey now, no need to be critical. Whatever you say about the movies, the first five books in the franchise are pure excellence. Of course, that's just opinion.

Plus (imho) there's not really any reason to see a commercial picture in IMAX unless it's SHOT in IMAX ala Dark Knight and ROTF...

I checked the muggle.net but didn't see anything about this. Maybe they really don't care. They can still see it in the normal theaters. I think it was dumb to push it to summer. There was nothing really out last Nov/Dec where it could have ruled the box office. Now they have to go against TF & every other summer movie.
