Wal-Mart have put up a listing for an exclusive version of the Transformers Dark of the Moon Blu-Ray. The Wal-Mart exclusive version is due for release 30 September, and has a list price of $29.99 (online price $19.96). There’s no real information on what extra content this exclusive might come with compared to the regular release, but it does appear to have a different cover featuring Sentinel Prime. We’ll update you as and when we discover anything more about the additional content on the disk.

I remember that I bought Transformers the first live movie at Walmart because or the Prequal short that came with it.

Slip case difference?
ex dtw2003
That's right.
First release is just the movie – very similar to the Netlfix "rental" discs if you're familar with those (though hopefully minus the mandatory previews.)
November/December release will have the option for 3D and full assortment of extras.

So am I to understand the copies next Friday are more or less just the film? No extras
Igniting_Prime
Hey not sure if anyone noticed this but the Transformers official facebook posted a different picture of Sentinel for the walmart cover exclusive than the picture of sentinel thats on the case on the walmart site?? whats going on?
TFXProtector
Extra 3 minutes? Looks like I'm going to Wal-Mart. Not a big fan of the Sentinel artwork, I wanted the cover that replicated the movie poster with Prime, Sam and Carly, but shit…3 extra minutes?
YES.

Im just going to wait it out and buy the 2 Disc special Editions with the extras coming out sometime in December. I hate when they release just the movie and then later on release a 2 Disc version But Im going to wait and not spend my money on Sept. 30th.

Because it's more expensive and pretty.

Why does blu-ray always get the best stuff.

Don't know if this was pointed out earlier, but I just noticed that Walmart states both the regular and exclusive versions of the movie are 157 minutes long. Did Walmart error on one or both listings…or do both versions have extra footage?
Though I guess it's possible that Walmart doesn't know what it's talking about…

Didn't Michael Bay say that he would work the Bumblebee traffic accident into the movie soon after it happened? Was that scene cut or what?
shadow2879
ok… i went to Walmarts site and it shows ALL formats… blueray, dvd and digital copies as running time of 157. That is 3 minutes more than the theatrical release. Dare I say maybe we will get the cut DC footage back and maybe even something of the Twins?
shadow2879
Dont know how much truth there is to this but I was just told that the Walmart exclusive is so because there will be 3 extra minutes of footage with the movie. Not extra deleted scene but as in footage within the movie.

I sure hope so. It'd be a shame to ruin such a nice picture with a sticker of any kind.
Liselotte
It just a sticker outside the plastic wrap.

I hope the "Only at Walmart" stuff is only on this photo. When are we going to get confirmation on the discs' content? The night before it goes on sale?
OptimusPrime108
That cover is awsome. Sure hope that is the final cover.
