Update : Transformers 3 Rumor – Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Is the rumor coming true? That is the question. But we do issue a Spoiler Warning now, look away.

I’m sure you all remember the little Carly, Sam and Bunny scene that was posted few days ago. Then you already know that Seymour Simmons was there too (with some guy carrying a briefcase). Those of you with careful eyes spotted another car with Sideswipe and the Ferrari 458 Italia. The presence of that car was not a coincident it seems, for reports are coming in regarding that particular car to be associated with Simmons himself. No, we can’t call it a Transformer (Not yet anyway, not without proof). But interestingly enough that car is not just an ordinary car, it’s a Maybach 62S Landaulet says Albershide of Shoot For The Edit Forums. That car is a little expensive. I’ll put it this way… You can buy 24 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers/Bumblebee Edition cars for the price of 1 (just one) Maybach 62S Landaulet. So, back to the question… Is Simmons a Millionaire?

Few weeks back, TheLastPrime of 2005 Movie Discussions stated that in Transformers 3 Seymour Simmons is a Millionaire by writing books (Who's betting it's Harry Potter or Twilight?). Anyway... Back to Simmons, If he’s riding a sweet Maybach 62S Landaulet (with a Chauffeur as well) surely this could mean something. His expensive looking attire adds a value to the rumor too.

Update : sannman of TFW2005 Discussions sent us some Exclusive Hi-Res Images taken from a set of Transformers 3. One of the images shows the License Plate of the Maybach 62S Landaulet. Though it’s a generic number, coincidentally it looks like it spells “Simmons” if you look at it from afar. And even more coincidentally, it's the same Plate from the Automobile Website. In response to all the Bay bashing ..I think most of you would find something to bitch and be negative about. No matter who directed these films. They are what they are. Lighten up and enjoy. I think he's done a great job. This is is a beloved property. No director could make everyone happy 100%. I've been silent for years..now I'm just voicing my opinion. As for Simmons ..go daddy warbucks!!!!

Love the bots, not much hope that this movie will be good though. If it's as good as movie 1 with cool new bots then I will be happy. Movie 2 made me a Baybasher though. Sucky movies will do that to ya.

As to the rumors, makes sense to me. Simmons can be really anything in Movie 3. There is nothing to spoil, story-wise, because there is so little that made sense in the last film. They could begin the movie with Simmons as President and I'd be like okay, what else.

We've already got Simmons with Mudflap (ok, maybe in THEORY), so I'd say I'd rather "Mirage" come with Alan Tudyk's character.

I really hope that his role in the movie is a bit more serious this time around. Him in ROTF was a disaster IMO. Most of ROTF was a disaster giving grace to the battle scenes though.

Simmons character development sounds cool to me. Now if the films could buck that trend of him being pantless then a happy fan I will be.

Sorry, had to get that out before I forgot.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this or not, but if it's true that he's a successful author, what are the chances that his writings are Transformers-related? I had thought that he might've written his own "fictional" series related to the Transformers ("Seymour Simmons and the Case of the Giant Pyramid-Eating Decepticon"), or even his real-life experiences, like "The Day I Save the World" or whatever, documenting his adventures with the Transformers and stuff.

Just a thought.

And on the Simmons-related note: I also had a suspicion that Simmons might be the human driver to that vicious looking spiky fuel truck-thing, if it turns out to not be a Transformer. I can just picture Simmons behind the wheel, slamming into Decepticons and knocking them over shouting "...betrayed by the country he loves!!!" But again, I could be wrong. I just thought it was a cool and plausible idea.

One thing I notice in the Bay TF movies is that everyone's always hustling trying to make a quick buck. Sam selling his family heritage on ebay, Sam's dad trying to get the government to pay for everything, Leo with the kitten calenders.

Maybe Simmons continues this trend.

As for the car, I don't necessarily think it's gonna be a TF in the movie, but if Hasbro want to use it as a basis for an off-screen toy-only character, I wouldn't object at all. It'd be totally appropriate for a 'Tux' or 'Stretch' homage.
