Tyrese Gibson to Reprise Role as Sgt. Epps in Transformers 3

Not that he'd be playing any other role, but nice to hear from him.

awesome! hopefully our 2 favorite NEST agents will have better roles this time around-and by better roles, i mean not just standing around-something important, but not necessarily something that take up the whole movie-like in TF1.

Figured that he'll be back for TF3.

I hope Epps gets more screen time in the third film. I like him, Lennox, and Simmons the most of all the human characters. I honestly could care less about the Witwickys or even Mikayla anymore.

I like the character, glad he'll be back. I want to see more from him than just BIG TUFF GUY WHO CALLS IN SPLOSIONS though.

Twitter is fine with me. It's the best rss feed I ever had and it's his official twitter page coming from the man directly. The more direct source the better. Common sense should apply with Twitter as news tho'.

Not that I thought NEST would be abscent from TF3, but this is good to know. I do hope that he and Lennox actually have roles though. Fingers crossed about John Turturro's return...

Good to see that Epps will be back! Him and Lennox are always the highlights of Movieverse fiction, IMO.

Good. I liked Epps.

You know, I am not particularly a fan of the movies or the movieverse, but I have to admit I really have an affinity for Tyrese and his character. He definitely did "bring it" to the TF universe. And he seems like a really cool dude IRL.

So he went from Technical Sergeant (E6) To Cheif Master Sergeant (E9) in the few years between 1 and 2 (Which is IMPOSSIBLE)... there really isnt anywhere for him to go after that. But is a Bay movie so who knows

Well, he did have first hand knowledge of a robotic alien life form. There's a good chance that might have sped up his promotion.

I really wish Bay would tone down the involvement of the US military. With all due respect to the various armed forces, the movie's called TRANSFORMERS, not MILITARIES OF THE WORLD.

I hope him and Josh have more centralized roles like in the first one. The second one was more one liners. I would much rather see them then the Witwickys and Leo. Besides who doesnt like Tyrese such a great guy and grateful to be a part of the franchise. Thats what we need.

Oh wow ...so excited to hear him call sam a little kid 500 times and bring it!

It's not always the lines, it's the character's personality and a friendly face we can remember from the first two movies. (knowing Michael Bay, if they're replaced, it'll be by someone annoying)

I hope 'Lennox' (yeah kinda forgot the actor's name...) will be in this one. I know he's in The Crazies but he should get back in this. And I want an ACTUAL recap of his family not just when I read the novelization.

To be honest, I hope they focus more on the military human characters in the next movie. They're about the only human characters that I don't totally hate.

I'd not be that embarassed to have forgotten any of the soldiers names it's not like anyone would miss them that mutch if they disappeared from subsequent movies with no explanation.

Continuity FTW! I hate sequels that change actors or drop characters without explaination.

The character, personality, or the lines did nothing for this movie verse; please just kill him off within the first 2 minutes of the 3rd one.

i have only read the OP on this thread, but i know as i post this there are: 3 left cheek references and the words "the rain" have been spoken 5 times . sorry folks, had too. anyway back on track: i love SRG. EPPS and i cant think of someone who can pull that roll of better than tyrese, glad to hear he's back!
