What I really enjoyed about this interview is how expressive he is about loving the brand and being involved with it. I don't get that, "I just want another paycheck" vibe from him. I very much feel like he's genuinely excited to just be a part of it. Can't blame him, I would be too.

I completely agree, he came across as quite genuine about the franchise and how happy he is to be involved. Nice touch connecting old fans and new. He had some nice moments in 3, so I hope they consider bringing him back.

I actually kind of hope he does come back. Lennox and Epps were my favorite human characters.

That's almost exactly what I was going to say. Personally I don't think they should try to find a new male lead. These guys could carry the film.

Amen. Practically everyone would agree that Lennox and Epps are the some of the best humans in the film series, and a whole movie led by them would be a nice change of pace from all the screaming, shouting, awkwardness, and "NONONONONONOOOOOOOOO!!!!".

I agree with your sentiments. He genuinely seems honored to have worked in all the movies. His believeability as a Transformers fan helps with that vibe too.

Btw, it was nice meetin ya at Botcon.

I would like to see him return, he was quite tolerable and likeable in the movies. And holy shit, it seems as if he's aware that there were, GASP! Cartoons! Hey Michael Bay, did you know there was a Transformers cartoon? Like say, more than one good one?

Yes. He just doesn't want to slavishly follow them.

Sure he does, I would want that pay check too.

I'm aware that he knows of the cartoon, and I'm fine with him not wanting to follow it religiously, I just kind of wish he could focus on the big guys more.

I'm sure he'd want to give them a bit more focus, but sadly, that incredible CGI isn't cheap.

I wouldn't mind Tyrese coming back.
As long as they give him more development if they won't have Sam and Carly.

Of course he wants in, it's the only way he'll see himself on the big screen.

From a human standpoint, I thought that he (along with Sam's parents) where one of the few bright spots.

However, it's just my opinion so take it FWIW.

Lennox and Epps are the greatest human characters ever! if Tyrese Gibson wants to be in TF4 then they better have him because like i said him and Lennox OWNED!

I hope he comes back. I loved him and Lennox. They were the best humans. They really fit with the Transformers and I like the idea of the military working with them. I could have done with less of Simmons and Sams parents.

At least with Lennox and Epps it's like the comics with Spike and all.

I also didn't know he got a TF related tat. That's awesome.

Tyrese is good fellow, I would be glad to see him and Josh Duhamel in TF4, they generally well refer to Transformers! And they were all at a concert of Linkin Park in Moscow in that Summer, let them come again!

This. While Sam wasn't too bad to take in the first film, I consistently thought that Epps and Lennox were some of the more believable human characters, especially in DOTM. Tyrese certainly does come across as a genuine fan in this interview and yeah while that blockbuster film paycheck is awesome, I just don't feel like that's what it would be about for him. I think he'd want in just to have that chance to have another conversation with Optimus and Bumblebee.

I love his enthusiasm for Transformers and it would be awesome if he returned, even if he is a different character.

I always thought the best three humans in the movies were Epps, Lennox, and Simmons, so I'd be down with Tyrese coming back as long as he has great one liners.

I'd be ok with Lennox and Epps. As others have said, they were the best humans I think. I'd like to see more of them in the franchise.

Lennox and Epps I could live with but Simmons seems too much like a cartoon character for what's supposedly a realistic portrayal of the TF universe. Realistically he would've been sectioned years ago, and certainly never been allowed to command something like Sector Seven, at least not for very long once people realised what a crazy he is.
