Two more pieces of casting news for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have surfaced. According to his official website, actor Steve Tom has been cast in a principal role in the movie. While the role is not named on his website, IMDB.com names his roll as McClaren Robotics CEO while Theiapolis Cinema reports his roll as Massive Dynamics CEO. Either way, the company name raises suspecions. The other piece of casting news, per Newsday, is that actress Katie Lowes has been cast as Sam Witwicky’s College Resident Assistant.

I just hope it's not some retread of slywatch or the machination from idw comics, very intriguing though!

Just my 2 cents, but I can't help thinking that these robotics companies maybe have something to do with (the construction) of some kind of defense fortress for the Autobots a la Autobot City… Orci has recently said that the Transformers in part 2 are no longer 'hoboes', which leads me to think they have some kind of base or something. We will find out.
Primus
It's a show called "Fringe" that starts in September of FOX that's written and produced by Orci and Kurtzman and JJ Abrams.
Dropshot
Wait… there's already a company named Massive Dynamics in other media? Where does it appears?
Gingerchris
So, we're already at the stage where humans start to build their own Transformers?
Primus
Yeah, I doubt it will be called Massive Dynamics, although that would be an awesome side-tie-in to Fringe. It was probably Massive Dynamics in an early draft but they ended up using that for fringe instead.
SPLIT LIP
Massive Dynamics is anything like McClaren Robotics, we could have conspiracy. What if, and ths is just speculation, somebody got a hold of part of the remains of one of the robots. Maybe Jazz? (they wouldn't dump him in the ocean, they'd give him a proper funeral)
GabrielPrime
I don't understand what it the connection to Massive Dynamics?
It's supposed to be a fictional multi-billion dollar high-tech company that exists in the Fringe universe.
The only connection I see to TF2 is that the script for the Fox television pilot was written by JJ Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
Railguard
I had a feeling that they would be at least touching on this issue for this movie.

Steve Tom's website says he'll be a principal actor in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Although it's often full of inaccuracies, IMDB lists his role as McClaren Robotics CEO.

Meanwhile, Theiapolis Cinema is reporting that his role is Massive Dynamics CEO.

With either of those companies names, I'm sure speculation regarding the role of this company could go in several directions.
New York-based Newsday.com is also reporting that actress Katie Lowes was cast as Sam Witwicky's college resident assistant (RA).

Probably most notable for her one-shot appearance on The Sopranos.
