Yahoo! Movies has posted a trailer for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray 3D Combo Pack release.

Update: Added a much better quality version of the trailer thanks to Michael Bay Official Website.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray 3D Combo Pack is set to release this January 31st along with the Transformers Trilogy Ultimate Collection Signature Edition.

You can take a look at the list of features included, here.

Very awesome!

Looks cool. Even though the entertainment stuff in my house isn't compatible for Blu-Ray 3D, I think I'm just gonna go ahead and get this (or mayyyybeee the 7-disc Signature Edition of the trilogy) when it comes out, just so I can finally have a special features-packed version of Dark of the Moon. Or is there gonna be a simple Blu-Ray/DVD special edition?

(And I think it'd be kind of cool if my friend James, my dad, and I could be seen far in the background of a bit of the Chicago stuff - we were about a block away or so when they filmed some of Sam and Dylan fighting near the control pillar. But that's probably just wishful thinking...)

By the way: News credit about this? Anyone?

I just hope some of the stores get this thing down below $30. The average online price so far is around $42.
TylerMirage
Cool, cool. Can't wait to get it. I hope some of those bonus features talk about Sentinel Prime.
JackHammer

Hellscream15

Still pissed that there's no regular DVD version.
NIBMRatchet
I can't remember the background music heard in this video (Michael Bay Website version) between 1:20 - 1:40 included in the Score.

And I still need the "North Star" version heard in the movie. It was not included in any of the OST albums.
AutobotJazz4
The Movie broke all records... I think this Blu-ray will break another. I heard that Bay spent allot of time on perfecting the 3D ellement for this audio visual carrier.
Poho
i want those special features. damnit. more wallet draining.
Shadow25
Definitely picking up the 3D set; I don't own a 3D Blu-Ray player/TV but I do want the special features in addition to the movie itself, plus if I happen to come across someone with a good setup or get one myself down the road it's good to have.
EnerJohn
So is this going to have the special features??? I have yet to buy DOTM. And when the hell is the DOTM score soundtrack coming out?
amproadbuster88
Sweet! I'm so getting this when I get a PS3 lol.

Yep. This one is the one with special features.

I think you are asking for the physical copies of DOTM Score and Soundtrack for digital copies were out months ago.
Chaos Muffin
Already bought the regular blue ray one. No more money until some features dammit.

Ultraviolet digital copy is a buzzkill. So glad I got the barebones with regular digital copy.
LUGNUT1995
im selling the one ive got and getting this.
RedAlert Rescue
Dear Mr. Michael Bay "If wishes were horses you would have a yard full of them".

I found that unintentionally quite amusing. In a Captain Picard face palm sort of way.
abc55abc55
Did he say over 3 hours of Bonus Features?? I can't wait to get it!
jyorjhurt
It's look quite diffrent that about 3d bluray trailer it is a upcoming but i am excited to seen it from now but my house is not compaitable for that but i will go to the theatre and watch movie with my friends and enjoy.

...sooooo, there are no extra scenes?

EDIT:

Wasn't it said that the rescue vehicle slamming into Bumblebee going to be worked into the film? I don't recall seeing it which is why I'm wondering if that delited scene is part of the bonus features in movie form.

No. It was always said the scene would never be worked into the movie. Hence when Optimus and Ratchet come around that corner at the beginning of the movie, all of the other Autobots were cut out.
Janitor
Please just give us a cheaper, more widely available "non-signature" 7 disc blu-ray/3D of the trilogy!

My guess (and hope) is they'll just try and milk the shit outta this one first.

I thought I saw a Youtube video with Michael Bay stating he'd work it into the movie or read an interview in which he said it would be, but if that wasn't the case, that wasn't the case.

Still, there are NO extra scenes like RotF's walmart version, which had a minute or so of extra footage?
Grimwing
The Version many of us have been holding off for I believe.

3D blu Ray version as it was meant to be seen. And Sounds like special features are finally with us. No more Disguises.
Jericho
i didn't even bother watching the un-special features on the first two. Pass. Show me some deleted scenes, concept art and I'm in, otherwise who cares about how they shot a scene?

A lot of people, actually, in particular those who are interested in filmmaking and the methods and techniques used for said scenes, which includes myself.
Transfan76
Hope they provide us with the linkin park video in the set.

I have yet to find a store that sells the DOTM score. I would love the CDs.

+1. It's actually the special features, behind the scenes & commentaries that motivate me to keep buying my favorite movies in physical format. If all I cared about was just the movie, then I'd just download the MKV digital versions and be done with it. But I want to know how things are put together, how concepts turn into reality, what changes were made, what was going on behind this or that scene, etc. Proud film nerd.
Scantron
I hope the price on this comes down between now and the release date. While I definitely want the special features, I'm not keen on paying $42 for this set when it includes one format I can't/won't use (3D), one format I don't need (DVD) and one format that's completely worthless (UV Digital). But I can't see the DotM special edition getting a separate 2-disc Blu-Ray release, so this is probably the only way to get it.

I AM TOTALLY GETTING THIS!

I'm just hearing about UV, myself. From what I've learned so far, and I could be wrong, is...

It's a digital copy, that you don't own. Unlike other digital copies that are contained on your DVD or Blu-Ray, where you use a key to unlock the ability to rip it from the disc, UV works by being a cloud computing based system.

That is, their servers contain the digital copy, you're given a key code to access it wherever and whenever you want, provided their servers are functioning, but you never own it. You're merely granted access to it.

Pretty horrible.
