When the Super Bowl Spot for Transformers: Age Of Extinction came out, the biggest complaint was the incomplete CGI.
However, rectifying the possibly rushed trailer, Paramount has uploaded the updated version of the Superbowl Spot. 2005 Boards Member fallen_revenge who discovered this updated trailer has also identified the changes:
- Sequence of Lockdown walking towards the camera features new CGI from the Teaser Trailer with added details to the Nightship.
- Face transformation of Lockdown contains new CGI elements
- Added details and new lighting for Optimus
- Galvatron’s arm added (from the Teaser)
- Galvatron’s body color now closely resembles the Argosy Freightliner. Galvatron’s eyes are now red rather than orange
- New movie font replaces the old font
- Added new details to the Crosshairs sequence; including dust particles, smoke and explosions.
- Strafe is more towards a blue color than the original Super bowl spot
Check it out, after the jump.
Update: Fellow newsie TunaKaan has created a comparison image as well.

If you mess with the contrast and color of a whole shot then everything would either get lighter or darker. In this case, they darkened Galvatron and brightened the trees, grass and sky. If you brighten a image as you say you do in normal pics, everything in the image is brightened.
So Galvatron should have gotten brighter not darker right? If you have watched the behind te scenes of ROTF you see how they explain to Bay how they can pic any object in any shot and lighten it or darken it without doing that to the whole scene or shot. Bay has them darken Jetfires face in one shot in the ROTF behind the scenes and even notices like 2 frames in a scene where OP is way to bright and has them darken him up.
It's probably the same thing here with Galvatron.

so.. does that mean they changed the color of the car in the galvatron scene too?.. or the grass and the trees.. because those are all different as well.. it looks like someone just messed with the contrast and brightness of the scene rather than going in and changing any actual colors.. hell.. i've done the same thing with photo's i've taken.. i didn't change the colors of anything, just the contrast an brightness, which, in turn will alter the colors of whatever is in the photo.

I'm sure he is still a lighter grey like the truck but he had a whole lot of silver on him that they changed to grey and darkened up the lighter grey some. I'm also sure that Galves looks lighter in the shot with OP because of the bright blast effects from OP getting shot. You know, darker objects look lighter in light or when something bright like an explosion happening near by.

this is exactly what i thought.. i can't see any changes other than lighting.. and the person who pointed out that it looked like primes expression changed.. to me, again, it just looks like the lighting is different causing his face to look different.
so, yeah, to me it just looks like they messed with the lighting not the actual colors of the robots.. after all, like mttyns said, galvatron is still a lighter silver in the scene with prime getting shot over him.
Ironhide4
Hmm so he's blue like the toy is. Wonder if grimlocks colours will change now too. Neon dinobots in tf4.
Megatronus209
Leaked toy listings also a figure at Toy Fair was confirmed to be named Galvatron that transformed into the Argosy and looks like the robot on screen

So i'll bite.
How do we know that is Galvatron?
emoo
That would be an interesting way to go to meld the two together. It could make galvatron very formidable to optimus.

Would also be a legitimate reason for having a slightly unhinged Galvatron, or for explaining why he may perhaps be a better leader/villain than Megatron lol
SkyfiRe71
Agreed. If it is the case, I can't help but wonder how much of his memory (as either Sentinel or Megatron) is intact after the fusion process.
Very dark angle, either way. And a necessary one after slightly missing the vibe they were going for in DOTM.

Looking at the pics side by side, I'm not sure that the CGI model of Galvatron itself is darker per se but rather the levels of dark and shade have been added in more detail. You can see there's little to no difference at his feet but the part of his torso that's obscured as he's bending forward has extra shade added because it would naturally be there. Plus the whole light/darkness or all the shots have been modified in some way. If you look at Galvatron in the other scene where Optimus is being shot he''s still a fairly light shade of sliver-grey. What also appears to make him darker is that parts of his design have been slightly altered, such as the tubes coming from the core in his torso, just by them being swapped round a bit has made what was a small dark area much bigger.

Yeah, I'm more and more certain that he's the result of the two minds merging. Kind of explains why he's a new character with a new name. I mean, if it was just Megatron, would he really rename himself?

isn't everything treated like that here?

I know I'm in the Minority on this but I hate how Galvatron is Black now. The white looked so much cooler imo and the white also heavily, but perfectly contrasted with the black Lockdown and red Stinger.
Algernon
Much improved. Though in that first pic with Lockdown walking down the road, the lighting looked better before, imo.
Autovolt 127
I never really cared about it looking unfinished…but man these new improvement really do make a difference.

Am I the only one that wish the blue on Galvatron was purple?
primal789
This is what I've got.And his name is Strafe
FanimusMaximus
Anyone got pics of Swoop?
BeeOtch217
Why are we treating prime getting shot like the Kennedy Assassination?
